Previous research does not show a clear picture of the perception of personalized advertising as studies give different results - there are both positive and negative aspects. The purpose of this study is to improve the knowledge and understanding of the impact of personalized advertising in the new Internet era. The aim is to answer whether personalized advertising has more positive than negative effects on Facebook or if marketers today should rethink regarding this issue. An experiment with three advertisements was defined where one ad was with no personal targeted content and the other two included personally targeted content. These ads were analysed with the theories word of mouth, information overload and psychological ownership to see if interesting results could be found regarding ad attitude, click intention and purchase intention as well as to investigate if the attitude to Facebook could have an impact on the results.

The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to identify the relationship between color and semiotics and how a person?s opinon, regarding a game character?s different characteristics, can be affected by the use of various colors. Prior to this study people were asked, through an online survey, to write down words that they associated with different colors. The colors were then divided into four different groups depending on whether they had been associated with positive-strong words, positive-weak words, negative-strong words or negative-weak words. In order to further shed light on the effect of colors, the four palettes, consisting of the colors associated with the different words, were then used separately to give color to two characters: a man and a woman.

Offentliga chefers arbetssituation har förändrats som följd av NewPublic Management, med ökade krav som resultat. Syftet medföreliggande studie var att explorativt undersöka de mönster avcoping-/handlingsstrategier som chefer använder sig av. Blandundersökta strategier ingick strategier som var riktade mot chefensegen arbetsbelastning (accepterande samt gränssättande), strategiersom var riktade mot organisationen för att stärka inflytande/position(formellt och informellt) och strategier som var riktade motmedarbetarna (delaktighetsfrämjande, närvarande och avlastande). Ien klusteranalys framkom åtta kluster av chefer: de gynnsamma, desjälvbejakande medarbetarinriktade, de icke-gränssättande, deinformella positionsstärkarna, de frånvarande, de självförsummandemedarbetarinriktade, de medarbetar-försummande samt destrategilösa. Dessa kluster diskriminerade från varandra medavseende på hälsa, arbetslust samt prestation och var olika vanligtförekommande med avseende på verksamhet och chefsposition samtgenus och genusmärkning.

Bakgrund: Varje år brännskadas cirka 23000 personer i Sverige så svårt att de kräver vård. Smärtan som följer behandlingen av skadan är oftast väldigt intensiv och påfrestande för patienten. Syfte: Att undersöka hur olika copingstrategier kan ha en smärtlindrande effekt vid såromläggning av brännskadade patienter. Metod: En litteraturstudie med ett systematiskt arbetssätt. Resultatet bygger på 17 vetenskapliga artiklar och en licentiatavhandling.

Studiens syfte är att belysa enhetschefers upplevelser och värderingar av samarbetet med en företagshälsovård angående upprepad korttidsfrånvaro. Kvalitativ metod med semistrukturerade intervjuer användes. Tio enhetschefer i två kommuner intervjuades och resultatet bygger på deras subjektiva upplevelser. I studien framkom att enhetscheferna generellt anser att grundtanken i samarbetet är bra med en bra struktur. Enhetscheferna har sedan länge själva arbetat med den upprepade korttidsfrånvaron och det är även de som bedömer vilka medarbetare som hänvisas till företagshälsovården.

The change in the information society has affected the development of the labour market for information specialists and informants as well as their roles. Companies are now aware of the fact that information specialists have a variety of important skills and competence that is important for them. The goal of this thesis is to see what defines an information specialist and an informant and also to find out their situation on the labour market. The similarities and differences between the two professions will also be discussed in the thesis. The main method used is the investigation of the job advertisements in the journal DIK-forum from the year 2000 and year 2004.

Background: Diabetes Mellitus Type 1 is increasing among children on large parts of the world. The disease strikes not only the child but affects the whole family. The parents are those who are responsible for the child?s treatment and well being. Purpose: The purpose of the literature review was to describe how parents to children with Diabetes Mellitus Type 1 experience and handle the situation around the child?s disease.

The purpose of this thesis was to examine if users of digital music games may acquire skills from the games that may be of use in learning to play a real instrument, that is a non-digitally simulated instrument like an acoustic piano. We have used Gee?s theory regarding a possible interconnection between different semiotic domains, and how this connection may enable a transfer of skills between related domains. In this thesis we examine possible skill transfer between the domains ?digital games? and ?non-digital instruments?. To examine our question formulation we chose to conduct a pilot study from which we collected both quantitative and qualitative data.

This study investigates the effects that commercial computer games have on young individuals social comfort and learning progress. As a systematic study of literature, scholarly articles have been analysed in order to illuminate the positive as well as negative effects on social comfort and learning progress that may come with playing computer games. The social effects have mainly been discussed with role-playing games, such as World of Warcraft, as starting point, while the learning effects have been coupled with strategy games, such as Civilization IV. The study does not simply declare how these games can be good for these factors, but also in what respect computer games may prevent the development of young individuals socials skills and learning progress. The study showed that in spite of perpetual prejudices against computer games in the technological age, computer games might actually be good to use as a tool in order to authorize the development of young individuals regarding learning and social aspects.

Syftet med uppsatsen var att undersöka hur det kan vara att leva med ADHD som vuxen inom tre områden; arbete, fritidsaktiviteter och vardagsliv, och på så vis öka förståelsen för dessa individer.  Som underlag för studien gjordes kvalitativa intervjuer med tre vuxna män med ADHD-diagnos. Resultatet från dessa intervjuer analyserades med hjälp av teorier om copingstrategier och KASAM.  Intervjumaterialet visade på en stor spridning av hur funktionsnedsättningen ADHD påverkade livet. Det var främst symptomen uppmärksamhetsstörning och hyperaktivitet som ledde till svårigheter i arbetsliv, fritid och vardagsliv. Svårigheterna yttrade sig dock på väldigt olika sätt. Symptomet hyperaktivitet upplevdes i vissa situationer som en tillgång.

För många människor innebär en hjärtinfarkt en tro på att det är slut med det yrkesverksamma livet, fritidsaktiviteter och samliv. Flertalet av de riskfaktorer som orsakat hjärtinfarkten anses gå att förändra genom att ändra på personens livsstil. Dock är det många personer som har svårt att ta tag i sådana förändringar efter infarkten. En fungerande relation mellan vårdgivare och patient ligger till grund för att omvårdnads- och förändringsprocessen ska bli så fulländad som möjligt. Syftet med litteraturstudien är att beskriva de faktorer som inverkar på patienters livsstilsförändringar efter en hjärtinfarkt samt beskriva vilken betydelse sjuksköterskans stödjande och vägledande roll har för dessa patienter. Detta är en klassisk litteraturstudie som baseras på elva vetenskapliga artiklar.

This paper has two parts. In the first part we analyse the Swedish translation of KIMS and we compare it with the American version that Baer and colleagues developed(Baer et al, 2004). Our focus is the factor structure, internal consistency, scale correlations and validity in relation to the already validated translation of the MAAS. The second part has three issues: Does a group of relatives to persons with borderline personality disorder differ from a group of university employees with respect to different aspects of mindfulness? What are the correlations between KIMS and the symptom measure BSI-GSI for the group of relatives? Has the Family Connections program had any effect on the degree of mindfulness for the group of relatives? 123 university employees answered the KIMS questionnaire.

During the recent years the interest in entrepreneurial education has increased both in terms of research being made in the subject, but also in the extent of entrepreneurial courses in Swedish secondary schools, where as the concept Junior Achievement (JA) is particularly being used. A common goal of the entrepreneurial education is apart from teaching the students how to start and run a business, to develop the students? entrepreneurial skills and competences. The main purpose of the essay is to describe and illustrate the role of the teacher in the entrepreneurial pedagogy being used in courses with the JA concept and to investigate which entrepreneurial skills are being developed by the students participating in these courses. There is also the purpose of investigate what the characteristics are of this entrepreneurial pedagogy being used in the courses using the JA concept.

Purpose: Reading aloud to children and having a conversation about a book, which is read to them, has attracted much attention as important factors that influence children's language development. Language development for children is one of the most important tasks that the preschool- teachers have, and according to ?Läroplanet?, all children must have the opportunity to develop their language. The aim of this study was to examine how reading aloud, and by letting them speak about a certain book, ?boksamtal? impacts preschool-children`s ability to develop their language according to preschool- teachers.Method: I have used a qualitative method by interviewing four preschool- teachers.
