The purpose of this bachelor's thesis is to examine the information needs and behavior of Swedish theater students. The aim is to get an increased insight into how theater students search and use information as they create their character roles and also to examine how the information seeking is integrated in the creative process. The findings of this study have been made through qualitative data gathered from five interviews with six theater students who are studying at the Swedish Theater Academy. These students studied between autumn term of 2014 and spring term of 2015. To analyze the result of the interviews four different theories? have been used, Carol Kuhlthau?s information search process model, Lars Höglund and Olle Perssons model of four domains, Lars Höglund and Olle Perssons information search barriers and Tom Wilson?s model of information behavior.

How does the companies in focus, gather information about what effects the customers value in use?? How do the companies use this information in their business?The purpose is to examine how some industrial companies gather information about the customer?s value in use, on the bases from the five activities from Porter and how they can use this information.Three semi structured interviews were made for this investigation, with representatives from Atlas Copco Rock Drills, IL Recycling and Johnson Pump.The conclusions are that to gather information about the customers value in use, the company must work close with the customer. This information helps the company to improve their products, services and their relationships..

It is important that companies knows how to handle a complaint when they receive one from a customer. This information could the company take care of and use when they develop new services. Furthermore a good complain handling leads to satisfied and loyal customers which increases the revenue for the company. We have examined how SAS handle their internal information process and if this process affects the information and in that case how. The study is performed with a qualitative method, based on deep interviews.

HIV/AIDS ökar frekvent i Sverige och är därmed en sjukdomsgrupp som vi alla inom vården med största sannolikhet kommer möta. Tidigare forskning visar att det finns en tendens till negativa attityder hos vårdpersonal gentemot HIV/AIDS patienter. Syftet var att beskriva HIV/AIDS- smittade patienters skildrade upplevelser och erfarenheter av vårdpersonalens bemötande och omvårdnad. En litteraturöversikt gjordes av både kvalitativa och kvantitativa artiklar som har analyserats med hjälp av kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Resultatet visade att HIV/AIDS- smittade patienter både har positiva och negativa erfarenheter/upplevelser av vårdpersonalens bemötande och omvårdnad.

Over the last 25 year IT development has greatly influenced the waycompanies are managed, the tremendous growth in the information society has made a huge amount of information extremely accessible. This has resulted in the problem of information overload where the large amount of information can affect the quality of a decision basis collected by a controller.The purpose of the study is to examine how a controller is affected by information overload and how this influences the decision basis. We intend to highlight the important elements to represent a high quality of information.A survey was conducted through a case study within a global affiliated company in the packaging industry. An adductive approach has been applied with a qualitative research method. Collected empirical material from interviews has been put into relation with existing theories.The case study indicates that there is no relationship between the problem of information overload and flawed decision basis.

Enligt tidigare forskning pressas aktiekursen i de flesta fallen nedåt vid en nyemission. Under det senaste året har en del nyemissioner utförts i synnerhet på grund av den globala lågkonjunkturen då många företag haft för lite kapitalbas. Vad gäller företag på Stockholmsbörsen som valt att nyemittera aktier har även här de flesta fått se sin aktiekurs rasa.Författarna till denna uppsats avser att studera hur marknaden reagerar på ett offentligt tillkännagivande av en kommande nyemission. Det undersöks även om det förefaller någon skillnad mellan tillkännagivanden av nyemissioner genomförda innan eller under lågkonjunkturen och skillnader branscher emellan.Då vi ville se hur denna händelse påverkar ett företags aktiekurser valde vi att göra en eventstudie.

Varje år behandlas ungefär 8000 personer i slutenvård för malign tumör i bröstkörteln. Bröstcancer är idag en av de vanligaste dödsorsakerna hos medelålders kvinnor i Sverige. När kvinnor drabbas av bröstcancer är det viktigt att de får den information de behöver. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva upplevelsen av information i samband med undersökning och behandling hos kvinnor som drabbats av bröstcancer. Elva vetenskapliga artiklar analyserades med manifest kvalitativ innehållsanalys.

Bakgrund: En negativ förlossningsupplevelse kan resultera i sekundärförlossningsrädsla. Detta gör det viktigt att identifiera vilka faktorer som bidrar tillrädsla under förlossningen. Detta är mycket lite utforskat. Syfte: Syftet var att kartläggaförekomst av och orsaker till rädsla under förlossningen hos kvinnor iGöteborgsområdet. Metod: Analys av en fråga ur en redan genomförd enkätstudieutfördes med kvalitativ innehållsanalys samt kvantifiering av förekomst, kategorier ochunderkategorier.

The purpose of this essay is to explore how students in secondary school seek out and use information. More specifically, the essay examines how the search and use of information differs between students working in groups and students working independently. The essay draws on in-depth interviews with six students. Two different theories are used to analyse the transcripts from the interviews. The first theory consists of Carol Kuhlthau?s six different stages showing how the students? feelings, emotions and actions change during the information seeking process.

Defining the concept of information has long been the subject of debate within Information Science (IS) and new challenges are constantly presented by new scientific discoveries and new theoretical positions. It is, nevertheless, of key importance for any academic discipline to find definitions on which there is a consensus. The paper therefore aims to clarify the relevance of one of these new theoretical approaches for IS, namely poststructuralism. It does so by describing the theories found in the writings of poststructuralists Mark C. Taylor, Jacques Derrida and Michel Foucault, and discussing their relevance for the three definitions of information suggested by Michael Buckland (Information-as-knowledge, Information-as thing and Information-as-process), thereby answering the following questions: What relevance does Mark C.

The purpose of this thesis was to investigate on what perspective or perspectives university teachers and librarians at a medium-sized university in Sweden base their view on information literacy. More specifically, how do the respondents view their own information literacy and what opinions they have of their students? information literacy as professionals. Three perspectives are used to interpret the results, the sociocultural perspective, the phenomenographical perspective and the behavioristic perspective.The method used is semi structured interviews with three university teachers and three librarians.Both librarians and teachers emphasize the importance of information literacy, for themselves as well as for students. The information literacy of the librarians involves being well acquainted with the subjects of the students.

Bakgrund: Många patienter i den psykiatriska vården är föräldrar till barn under 18 år. Studier har visat att sjuksköterskorna brister i att uppmärksamma barn till psykiskt sjuka föräldrar. Det finns en brist på kunskap och utbildning gällande barns upplevelser av att ha en förälder med psykisk sjukdom. Barn har enligt hälso-och sjukvårdslagen rätt att vara delaktiga. Syfte: Att beskriva barns upplevelser av att ha en förälder som lider av psykisk sjukdom Metod: Artikelsökningar utfördes i PsycInfo, PubMed och Cinahl.

Den utveckling som internet har genomgått har bidragit till att en rad förändringar har skett. Det innehåll som finns på internet har ändrats och skapas numer av dess användare lika mycket som av företag och organisationer. Det har skett en utökning av plattformar där användarna kan kommunicera och interagera med varandra och dela med sig av personliga åsikter och erfarenheter på ett enkelt sätt. Vi är dessutom mer kritiska till vad som skrivs på internet och reflekterar över vad som är pålitlig information eller inte, samtidigt som vi som turister och konsumenter bryr oss om och påverkas av vad andra tycker och tänker. Inom turismnäringen har TripAdvisor blivit en viktig plattform för denna form av informationsskapande och spridande.

Våra djur utsätts ständigt för olika utmaningar då lantbruket intensifieras samtidigt som flera delar av gårdar styrs och övervakas med elektronik/automatik, så minskar djurens kontakt med människor. Viss skötsel måste utföras av människor och detta skulle kunna resultera i rädslor hos djuren. Rädslor beskrivs som en negativ känsla. Syftet med denna sammanställning var att sammanställa hur rädsla kan påverka djurens hälsa och välfärd, hur rädsla uppstår och om gener är inblandade? Hur kan man bäst kan mäta och förebygga rädsla? Om djur utsätts för en negativ eller oförutsägbar behandling kan det orsaka en långvarig stress.

This Masters thesis in Library and Information Science has the title The New Information Desks at Malmö Public Library . During the rebuilding of the library in Malmö a new information desk was developed. This desk differs to a great extent from conventional information desks used in libraries. The information desk is triangular with rounded edges which allows the librarian and the user of the library to work side by side without any physical barriers. The aim of this thesis is to explore the requirements for the information desks formulated by the library and how they are perceived by the librarians and the users of the library.
