Due to deficiency in dementia care, the government has commissioned the National Board of Health and Welfare to develop national guidelines for health care services to people with dementia and support for their relatives. It has been allocated stimulus funds that may be applied for to work on improvements in dementia care. In August 2010 these guidelines formed the basis for a decision made that collaboration would take place between the county and the municipalities regarding dementia care in Halland, named Anna's path. The aim of this study is to investigate, analyse and describe how our respondents in the project Anna?s path are planning and preparing for the implementation of the registry of quality BPSD - Behavioural and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia.

The concerning issue of declining number of hunters in North America is also apparent in Europe and Sweden. When the bulk of research found on human dimensions and hunting participation has almost exclusively been done in the United States, this report seeks to add to the needed knowledge on a national level focusing on the causes of hunter declines related to social factors within Sweden. Using hunter data reaching from commune, county to National level, this report describes the correlation between a number of variables and the hunting participation in Sweden.The typical Swedish hunter lives in an area with low population density, the person usually has higher education, the living situation is stable with no recent moving and there is relatively good access to forest land. Persons with weaker connection to the Swedish culture such as foreign citizens, people with foreign background and people born outside ?the Nordic countries? are less likely to start hunt or participate in hunting.A strong relationship was found between the favorite game, moose (Alces alces), and the amount of hunters participating in the hunting.

The economic growth in Ireland, during the 1990s, lead to changing migration patterns. Ireland became a destination country for immigrants instead of an emigration country. Before 2004 people who were born on the island of Ireland had a constitutional right to Irish citizenship. This right was removed after a referendum in 2004.National identity is a sense of community constructed through common history and defines who belongs to the nation. The purpose of this thesis is to do a critical discourse analysis of the debate in media before the referendum.The analysis was done on texts from The Irish Times, one of the major newspapers in Ireland.

Syftet med mitt arbete har varit att synliggöra samisk förskola och deras arbete för att bevara det samiska språket och den samiska kulturen. Hur arbetar de med sitt språk och hur arbetar de för att stärka barnen i deras kulturtillhörighet? För att få svar på mina frågeställningar har jag gjort kvalitativa intervjuer med två förskollärare och tillsammans med kvalitativa observationer och dokumentationer har jag fått en bra bild av hur man arbetar på förskolan. I min studie har jag kommit fram till att den förskola som var mitt studieobjekt hade utformat både miljö och arbetssätt i syfte att stärka barnen i deras språkliga utveckling samt att de gav barnen upplevelser av den samiska kulturen på sätt som gjorde att barnen kunde knyta an detta till sin egen hemkultur, men också på sätt där barnen fick upplevelser av traditionell samisk kunskap och samisk historia..

Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka den samiska kvinnans roll i samisk kultur under 1600-1700-talen och den samiska kvinnans roll idag. För att kunna uppnå vårt syfte har vi som metod genomfört litteraturstudier av tidigare forskning, litterära texter, artiklar, och elektroniska källor. Resultatet visar på både kontinuitet och förändring. En av kvinnans viktigaste roller i den traditionella kulturen och religionen var som utövare av jojken. Det var vanligt att kvinnan jojkade i allmänhet, men även i vissa rituella sammanhang.

The aim of this essay is, firstly, to ? through a text analysis ? compare the curriculum of Waldorf education in Sweden (in the essay referred to as ?WL?) to the Swedish national curriculum ?Lpo 94?, to uncover possible differences and similarities between these documents, and, secondly, to present the roots and educational philosophies that these two curricula, respectively, are based upon. The purpose hereby is to be able to trace, describe and explain the differences between the pedagogical practices of Waldorf education and that of conventional Swedish schools.In the essay, a historical investigation of the main traditions of ideas behind the Swedish national curriculum is briefly carried out, where I swiftly present the educational philosophies of John Dewey (1859-1952) and Lev S. Vygotsky (1896-1934). Next, an investigation of the worldview and philosophy of Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925) is effectuated, where I attempt to bring to light Steiner?s anthroposophical and holistic worldview ? a worldview that throughout the 20th century has developed into an international and wide-ranging anthroposophical movement ? as well as his concepts of knowledge, science and educational philosophy.

This paper investigates the level of consciousness regarding to the diversity work in the municipalities of Malmö, Lund and Landskrona. The study focuses on persons in a middle management position connected to various spheres of activities in each municipality. A survey concerning each municipality's diversity plan, diversity work, recruiting process, education and knowledge was used to investigate the participants' consciousness. The survey poses similar questions regarding equality between the sexes to compare the results from each field. The paper presents an overview of the development of Sweden's labour market and society, and gives an account for the differences between immigrants and natives positions in the labour market.

Vårt syfte med uppsatsen är att undersöka svenska företags internationaliseringsprocess till Polen. The purpose of this thesis is to examine the view on reading and reading promotion in the Culture of Reading (SOU 2012:65), based on three different approaches to reading and reading promotion; the pragmatic, the emancipatory and the traditionalistic. The thesis is based on the following questions; which view on reading can be seen in the Culture of Reading and which view on librarians? reading promotion can be seen in the Culture of Reading. To answer these questions, I am going to apply the aforementioned approaches on the Culture of Reading. The Culture of Reading is an official report from the Swedish government and parts of it will be subject to a qualitative content analysis.

För att svara på detta genomförde vi en innehållsanalys där vi undersökte skillnader och likheter i europeiska och amerikanska flygbolags hållbarhetsredovisningar. För att skapa en förståelse för hur samhällsansvar spelar roll i en historiskt förankrad miljö testade vi förklaringsvärdet av social struktur, nationell kultur samt isomorfism.Den största skillnaden vi fann är att USA är mer detaljerade och redovisar fler initiativ, medan Europa för ett bredare resonemang om hållbarhet. Skillnaderna förklaras utifrån social struktur och nationell kultur, likheter förklaras med isomorfism. Skillnaderna i hållbarhetsredovisningarna kan förklaras med att det sociala kontraktet, som flygbolagen måste följa, är olika mellan regionerna.

This thesis examines why working time preferences differ between workers and nations, and explains the effect of working time regulation and working time flexibility on negotiating work-life balance. In five separate sections the following working time issues are examined: the number of hours worked by workers in Europe; factors affecting individual working time preferences; how working time preferences are negotiated in the national industrial relations systems of Sweden, France and the United Kingdom; how the institutions of the European Union have influenced working time negotiations through the Working Time Directive; and the benefits and practices available to organisations implementing working time flexibility. Broadly this paper views working time preferences as being a highly personal and influenced by factors such as wages, taxation, culture (national and workplace) and non-work responsibilities. It is argued that negotiating a preferred working time pattern is essential to achieving work-life balance and when such a balance is achieved, workers are more healthy, motivated and committed to their employer. Essentially this provides an incentive for businesses to voluntarily implement working time flexibility beyond the regulatory standards..

The European Union has been working to promote equality between women and men for a long time. Despite this, Sweden still have a gender segregated labor market where men generally has the leading positions. According to European law the member states shall promote gender equality and to take all appropriate measures. Statutory gender quotas for company boards is one such measure that some of the European member states have implemented in national law. The Swedish law has no provisions governing gender quotas and therefore the purpose of this study is to explain how gender quotas for company boards relate to current law, both of European law and national legislation.

Studien innefattar en jämförelse av beteende och attityder till miljöfrågor mellan studenter från Jönköping, en individualistisk kultur, och Quito, en kollektivistisk kultur. Syftet är att undersöka om studenternas kulturella och sociodemografiska bakgrund återspeglar skillnader i attityd och beteende till miljöfrågor. Studien använder sig av en enkätundersökning som är baserad på tidigare forskning, det ekologiska fotavtrycket och mätinstrumentet New Ecological Paradigm skalan. Resultatet diskuteras utifrån tidigare forskning inom området med utgångspunkt från teorier om individualistisk och kollektivistisk kultur och Theory of Planned Behavior.Studien visar att det finns signifikanta skillnader i studenternas angivna miljövänliga beteende inom ett flertal områden, exempelvis studenternas angivna resvanor och hur mycket de återvinner. Resultatet tyder på att det finns förklaringar till skillnaderna i de sociodemografiska faktorerna.
