I vår studie är syftet att undersöka hur matematikens begreppsbildning påverkas av språk ochkulturella skillnader för elever med svenska som andraspråk. Undersökningen syftar till att ta reda påvad pedagogerna anser om detta och hur de arbetar med det i undervisningen. För att ta reda på vadpedagogerna anser och hur de arbetar valde vi att göra en strukturerad intervju med pedagoger i ämnetmatematik och svenska som andraspråk. I resultatet av vår undersökning har vi kommit fram till attspråket och kulturen har stor inverkan på begreppsbildningen i matematikundervisningen. I resultatetkom det bland annat fram att tidigare erfarenheter, metaforer och verklighetsanknutna uppgifter kanorsaka problem för elever med svenska som andraspråk..

Detta är ett examensarbete på Malmö högskolas lärarutbildning Bild och visuellt lärande. Uppsatsen är en avgränsad del i ett utvecklingsarbete av ett läromedel för bildlärare i grundskolans senare år. Med läromedel menar jag i denna uppsats, litteratur i form av en bok som i samlad form ger bildlärare i grundskolans senare år gemensamma referensramar. Bakgrunden till utvecklingsarbetet är att det saknas aktuella läromedel i bild som är förankrade i Lgr-2011. Primärdata har analyserats med statistiska metoder i statistikprogrammet SPSS och resultatet redovisas i huvudsak i tabellform vilket sedan diskuteras mot tidigare forskning.Resultat och slutsats: Inget signifikant samband har erhållits för hypotesen att ´Objektivitet´ skulle bero på ´Etisk kultur´ eller ´Etisk medvetenhet´. Ett signifikant samband för hypotesen att ´Etisk medvetenhet´ påverkas av ´Etisk kultur´ visade sig i resultatet av vår studie.

The aim of the thesis was to identify whether, and if so how, aspects of sexual health (reproductive health and cohabitation) are compiled in the National Quality Register and identify reasons for this. A quantitative method has been applied to go through the registers annual reports. In the first part of the thesis, the registers annual reports was mapped with the help of a checklist designed through World Health Organizations (WHO) definition of sexual health. In the second part, a questionnaire was sent to those responsible for each register to find reasons to why and how sexual health is included in the National Quality Registers. The result shows that sexual health is not usually included in the register data, although the survey showed that most registers brought up aspects that could affect the current target group's sexual health.

This essay takes its starting point in the making of a new national general school curriculum for the Swedish elementary school. The purpose of this essay is to estimate what the policy makers intended with the new policy documents and relate that to how a few teachers perceive these changes. In order to get an understanding of how the teachers view these changes I have done qualitative interviews with four teachers which all work in the Swedish elementary school.Theories on "implementation" and "street-level bureaucracy" are used to analyse my empirical material. My results tell that there is a difference how teachers relate to the new curruculum and the policy makers' intentions with it. That can be explained by the fact that teachers' work is complex and as to they work in a complex organization..

The purpose with this essay is to study how students in elementary school are placed within the subject called ?svenska som andrasspråk?, or SVA. SVA is a subject specially designed to deal with the complications that students with a different native language encounter when trying to learn Swedish.  National school documents state that a student is to be offered SVA if he or she has a different native language than Swedish and if the headmaster decides it?s ?needed?. In this work I focus on the different factors which are involved in the headmasters decision whether a student should be in a SVA-class or a normal Swedish class.

Under vår utbildning kom vi i kontakt med det individuella programmet på en skola där 82% av en årskull gjort sig behöriga till ett nationellt program. Det väckte vår nyfikenhet. Studiens syfte är att ta reda på vad som bidragit till att eleverna blivit studiemotiverade. En hermeneutisk undersökning har gjorts där både kvalitativa och kvantitativa metoder har använts genom intervjuer och enkäter. Resultatet visar att det inte är en tillfällighet att så många blir behöriga att söka ett nationellt program efter ett år på den undersökta skolan.

The aim of this study is to find out in which way the education about climate in school is taught and how the students experience the world situation today. There are various theories about the greenhouse effect and its origin and these theories should be addressed to ensure that students get a broader understanding of how climate change occurs. This includes the natural phenomena and also the human impact on climate change. Students in school are a source of concern that only human are the cause of global warming, and know little or almost nothing about the natural phenomena of global warming.  I will mention what has emphasized in the national steering documents in the case of environmental education at school.I have used a qualitative method, where interviews and document analysis were used as techniques. The interviews took place with five students in ninth grade and with three science teachers in the same school..

Då vi känner att det finns brist på information i detta område vill vi belysa vilka åtgärder som chefer kan använda sig av.                                            Teoretisk referensram: I vår teoretiska referensram har vi valt att först generellt diskutera förebyggande åtgärder mot konflikter för att vidare fördjupa oss i tre huvudområden. Vi har använt oss av samt kombinerat olika författare och teorier.Metod: Studien är en kvalitativ undersökning där vi samlat in vårt empiriska material genom intervjuer.                                                                       Resultat: Det resultat vi har kommit fram till, genom vår studie, är att chefer arbetar med kommunikation och kultur som två åtgärder för att förebygga konflikter mellan anställda på arbetsplatsen.

Education systems face a number of challenges regarding social justice, diversity, difference, and inclusion and membership for all students in the groups that schools create. This invokes questions of how well these challenges are met in curricula and teaching materials. Through discourse analysis of eight Swedish geographical textbooks, this essay aims to seek out the perspectives surrounding difference within the subject of geography. It concludes that the idea of fixed homogenous cultures as meaningfull in differentiating among people dominates throughout the latter half of the 20th century and during the last decade. In addition, it concludes that the discourse surrounding diversity in Swedish geographical teaching materials mainly has a binary liberal view of plurality focused around tolerance.

The present paper is part of a project carried on by the Swedish Section of the International Commission of Jurists. Sweden has ratified several major international human rights instruments. Most of the rights are covered by national law, and only in exception is there a discrepancy between national and international law. Such a discrepancy is found in the UN Convention on the Elimination of all forms of Racial Discrimination, in which the State parties agree on penalizing and prohibiting the founding of and participation in racist organizations. Sweden is not complying with this statute, despite the fact that the government has ratified the convention.

The purpose of this masters thesis is to study two subject gate-ways within the field of Swedish higher education and academic research, concerning structuring and selection of Internet resources to facilitate information retrieval for their target groups, and also to study two co-operation projects in the same field, one national and one European, to see how the co-operation is being carried through and how the gateways in the projects can serve from a wider perspective. The gateways, AGORA and NOVAGate, are being studied mainly by their Web sites and two e-mail interviews with persons responsible for the gateways. Facts about the national project are principally based on an interview with BIBSAM. The European Renardus is being studied out of articles and information on the Web site. From the results of the study it is being clear that the purpose of the gateways is to make a quality-selection of information accessible via the Internet and thereby facilitate for their target groups to find usable information.

Sustainable development is a concept that has been interpreted in a multitude of ways in different contexts. This essay argues that the discourse of "ecological modernization" has strongly influenced the way in which the concept of ?sustainability? has been constructed in Swedish environmental policy. This interpretation of the concept of sustainability offers the possibility of combining economic growth with ecological sustainability which stands in contrast to the assumptions of Deep Ecology and Green Theory. The aim of this essay is to explore how the concept of sustainability is being formulated in environmental policy both on a national level and in the city of Malmö.Considering these issues in a specific context, this essay focuses on city planning that is as an important instrument to promote urban sustainability both on national and local levels.

Background: There is a newly founded national sports education program. This newly founded national sports program comprises of several different sports of which football is one of them. Before a football player can reach the European- or national elite the player usually is first developed in clubs and their respective academies where a lot of time is spent on fine tuning the players? individual skillsets.The main goal for the NIU program is to develop future elite athletes to different sports. When it comes to football, the Swedish Football Association and the Swedish school board have together developed a study plan which will serve as a guideline for the NIU-football classes in Sweden.

I denna studie analyseras fem unga kurdiska kvinnors upplevelser av sina levnadsförhållanden i Sverige. Utifrån en kvalitativ undersökningsmetod och med hjälp av intervjuer, har faktorer som språk, föräldrarnas religion, traditioner och kultur granskats. Studiens teoretiska ram utgörs till stor del av diaspora, etnicitet och kultur, men även identitet, genus och stigma har använts som centrala teorier. Utöver dessa har flerspråkighet som begreppsdefinition haft en betydande roll för analysen och informanternas upplevelser och tankar.Vi har i studien dragit slutsatsen att de kurdiska kvinnorna mer eller mindre har assimilerats in i det svenska samhället genom att de delvis har glömt bort sitt modersmål eller refererar till sig själva som svenskar. Detta av den anledning att de inte vill hamna i utanförskap och menar att det finns en klyfta mellan den svenska och kurdiska kulturen.
