Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a serious postoperative complication and nurses should therefore observe symptoms in an early stage and implement preventive provisions, for example use of graduated compression stockings (GCS). The nurse is also responsible for making sure that ordinate GCS tried and used correctly by the patients. The aim of this study was to investigate the latest research regarding the efficacy of GCS in prevention of postoperative DVT and if there are any incorrectness in usage. And assess guidelines and recommendations for the usage of GCS. Method: Literature review.

Jag har med hjälp av relevanta böcker och tidigare forskning undersökt IKEA:s etablering i Ryssland.SlutsatserDet är omöjligt för en organisation att förbli helt neutral vid en etablering utomlands då den är beroende av samarbetet och kommunikationen med omgivningen.Studien bevisar att Hofstedes teori stämmer delvis då IKEA påverkats av både den ryska marknaden och nationella kulturen.Fastän nationell kultur har en stor påverkan på företag som etablerar sig utomlands, så är den inte ensam om att influera organisationen. IKEA:s etablering i Ryssland påverkades inte lika mycket av den nationella kulturen som det påverkades av det politiska systemet och korruption.Kulturella skillnader kan vara en orsak till misslyckade samarbeten, men jag anser att med rätt ledarskap och en tydlig organisationskultur så skulle ett företag kunna etablera sig var som helst. .

Pollen analysis of a peat core was used to reconstruct the last 2500 years of vegetation history, with focus on the impact of anthropogenic disturbance, in Hamra National Park, central Sweden. In addition, analysis of pollen in soil samples was performed in an attempt to locate ancient cultivation plots in the National Park. Denna uppsats undersöker de spänningar - i språk, förståelse och kultur - som uppstår mellan de ekonomiska och kulturella fälten för kulturaktören i ett sponsorsamarbete, med fokus på finansiering, genomförande och resultat. Flerfallsstudien baseras på djupintervjuer med sex kulturaktörer i Stockholm, vars inställning till och erfarenheter av näringslivssamarbeten skiljer sig åt. Empirin analyseras utifrån Pierre Bourdieus teorier om fält, kapital och habitus. Philip Kotler och Kevin Lane Kellers teorier om sponsring används för att förstå näringslivets incitament. Analysen är gjord utifrån ett institutionellt perspektiv och visar att en medvetenhet om ekonomiseringen i samhället i stort påverkar utfallet av kulturaktörens näringslivssamarbeten.

Private labels have been increasing a lot during the last 30 years. The reason is great margins and it also works as an aid to build a store's brand. The problem is that private labels take market shares from national brands. Retailers need to have a good mix between these products and adopting category management without being influenced by opportunism, which can lower the profitability of a category. The purpose of this study is to examine and describe how private labels are prioritized in the category edible fat.

The aim is to examine how students with attention difficulties may demonstrate their mathematical understanding through visual representations. A curiosity about how students think about mathematics, national tests and Concepts cartoons has also permeated the study. With help of observations combined with interviews and actively work for a week, the study shows an idea of how visual representations can help students with concentration difficulties to stay focused on their tasks. I chose a selection of pupils to do some mathematical tasks from the national tests which they had not been able to solve before. Now in the form of Concepts cartoons, which I designed, they managed to solve the same mathematics data. In my study treatment and interaction reveals as key pillars for a successful educational work with the students with concentration difficulties. Thus, all pupils who previously have been unable to solve these assignments on the National test were now able to show their mathematical understanding supported by visual representations..

The purpose of the present investigation was to identify how knowledge about goal-setting is developed and applied in practice of male players in the Swedish national floorball team, by using a qualitative methodology. Participants were 6 players playing for the Swedish national team. They were asked to respond to the interview questions in relation to their perception of setting goals for a successful outcome in sports, how their goal- setting process has developed and how they deal with goal setbacks and goal attainment. Results revealed that Swedish national players in floorball employed goal setting often for both individual and team goals in practice and competition. In addition, many interesting findings regarding the process of goal setting emerged in the result.

Uppsatsen syftar till att undersöka hur den aktuella läroplanen för grundskolan, Lgr 11, förhåller sig till en postkolonial andrafierande diskurs i sina förväntningar på skolans utbildning och fostran av barn och ungdomar. I detta arbete har läroplanens två inledande kapitel samt kursplaner i svenska och svenska som andraspråk för år 1-6 fokuserats. Utifrån poststrukturella grundantaganden om språkets konstituerande funktion för den sociala verkligheten samt postkoloniala teorier om andrafiering, analyseras kulturbegreppets olika skepnader och sammanhang i materialet för att få syn på undersökningsobjektets förhållande till en sådan ?vi? och ?dom?-diskurs. Med hjälp av Carol Bacchis (2009) metodologiska grepp på poststrukturell policyanalys, kallat WPR ? The National Arts Council[1] has made an evaluation on obstacles and success factors for the interaction between culture and school. In the evaluation report they concluded that teachers and cultural workers have different views on culture and knowledge which creates confusion in their interaction. Thus I became interested to investigate teachers and cultural workers views on culture, aesthetics, and the knowledge that they think the students / children / young people should get from culture and aesthetics. This work is based on qualitative interviews with four teachers and four cultural workers. I compare their views with each other and link it to different research perspectives on culture and aesthetics in school to get an understanding of the similarities and differences in their approach, and what implications it can have in the school?s learning processes. In this work, from a didactic point of view, I found that when the teachers and cultural workers are talking about culture, the why-perspective differs.

Security Council resolution 1325 (2000) is about women, peace and security. Since the resolution was adopted several countries has made their own National Action Plan for implementation of the resolution.Sweden and Denmark are two of these countries. Resolution 1325 is one of the documents that each countries armed force has to relate to in international work.These countries can get to work together in international operations within the framework of the Nordic Defense Cooperation, NORDEFCO. This study is done by looking at similarities and differences in the action plans and whether they can be an obstacle for the countries to cooperate in an international operation.In this paper a comparative analysis of Sweden and Denmark's plans for the Security Council resolution 1325 will be done. This bachelor thesis is studying the development of Swedish law in relation with EU-law. There are two different points of view expressed in the theories of Europeanization. One that means EU makes a big influence on national policy, one that says path-dependency will make the national policies differ. The case used in the study is discrimination on the ground of disability as regards employment. The aim of this thesis is, through a case study, to analyze the relation between Swedish and European law and by that shed some light on the matter of Europeanization..

This study was a survey of how it is possible to create conditions for good elite environments in cities with elite universities. The purpose of the study was to create an understanding of how sports associations and National elit sportuniversities in Sweden can co-operate to create a good elite environments for people with dual careers. The study analyzed the current situation and what increased co-operation would do for the elitesports environments. To answer the purpose of the study interviews where conducted with leaders from sports associations and with a representative from the national sports university in Umeå. The result showed that in the current situation were was no cooperation to a significant degree.

Kultur differentierar samhällen världen över och skillnader kan orsaka problem för företagare som saknar kunskap eller underskattar dessa skillnaders betydelse. Den holländske forskaren Geert Hofstede har under mer än 40 år bedrivit forskning om kulturskillnader och placerat samt värderat ett stort antal länder i olika dimensioner vilka i uppsatsen utgörs av Osäkerhetsundvikande, Individualism, Maktdistans och Maskulinitet. Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka hur fem svenska företag upplever och hanterar kulturskillnader mellan Sverige och Mexiko utifrån Hofstedes fyra dimensioner av nationell kultur. För att kunna genomföra denna studie har frågor kopplade till nationell kultur baserade på Hofstedes dimensioner använts och personer på fem svenska företag har intervjuats. The purpose of this Master's thesis is to examine the decision-process concerning public art in Borås municipality. My questions have been from where the initiatives come, who the decision-makers are, how the decisions are taken and which questions are discussed. I have examined this through partly interviews with the members of the deciding organ in Borås municipality, partly through literary studies. I have also analysed texts such as debates and protocols from the Swedish parliament. I have also been present at two of the committees meetings.
