The Catalan movement of Independence is a well debated subject in Spanish news for the last decade. This thesis aims to examine what kind of identityarguments that spanish versus catalan newspapers make about the independence movement, in relation to nationalism and national identity. This is to deeper the understanding about the current complex situation in the Iberian Peninsula. The research shows that identityarguments about the independence movement presented by catalonian newspapers clearly put focus on identifying the ethnic and cultural reasons for the growing nationalism in the region, as well as discussing the political possibilities and obstacles of a sovereign Catalonia. In comparison, the identityarguments presented by spanish newspapers has another view of the situation, where the political aspect of the nationalistic catalan movement, identify the process as defying the Spanish Constitution and challenging the traditional historic unity of Spain.

Runt om i världen pågår krig, konflikter och tvister, som grundar sig i problem som har uppstått till följd av människors missnöje när det gäller dragningar av statsgränser. Det är gränser som vanligtvis inte harmoniserar med nationers etnicitet och utbredning, vilket kan leda till att en matchningsproblematik mellan stat och nation växer fram. I november år 2012 hölls ett tidigarelagt parlamentsval i regionen Katalonien i Spanien, ett parlamentsval som indirekt kom att ses som en folkomröstning där de katalanska invånarna röstade för eller emot ett självständigt Katalonien. Syftet med den här uppsatsen har varit att visa på konsekvenser som detta val fick för Spanien och dess regioner, men också att utreda Kataloniens politiskgeografiska möjligheter att bryta sig loss från sin moderstat Spanien och bilda en självständig stat.Katalonien har i uppsatsen utgjort en fallstudie vars händelseförlopp och självständighetsprocess kan appliceras på andra regioner och nationer som befinner sig i en liknande situation. Uppsatsens undersökning utgörs främst av litteraturstudier där Kataloniens och Spaniens geografiska och historiska bakgrunder har beskrivits och jämförts med andra nationer inom Europa.

The 1st of January this year the state owned Swedish Luftfartsverket changed their name into the shorter name LFV. The shorter LFV is a more modern version in terms of that the name is a proof of that the classic organisation of the state, Luftfartsverket, with this stepbreaks through boarders and finds new ways. Plans have existed before but since 2005 when Luftfartsverket lost its assignments from the government and become a state owned business corporation, the plans have intensified. Now, also for all the employees, it isgetting obvious that something is going on in the organisation.The purpose of this paper is to see how this newly made change of name and logotype have been recieved and how it has effect the strategic choosen respondents within the organisation LFV. These choosen respondents have thorough knowledge of the organisation of LFV.

Arbetet innefattar en studie baserad på det grafiska verk som slutfördes på Colossai Studios 2007 som var ett förstadie till en kommande filmsekvens som skulle användas inför marknadsföringen av spelet Frontline Nation. Genom den expandering i detaljnivå som genomfördes mot spelets fotorealistiska stil studeras grafikens relation till spelupplevelsen utifrån begreppet the suspension of disbelief. Inom ett teoretiskt ramverk av spel- , design- och mediestudier analyseras verket och dess skapandeprocess för att slutligen mynna ut i en diskussion om hur expanderingen kan utföras med hänsyn tagen till en potentiell betraktares suspension of disbelief. Analysen leder slutligen fram till ett antal angreppssätt där kontentan är att vi kan underlätta betraktarens suspension of disbelief genom medvetna val att hålla grafiken trogen till verkligheten, fotografiska konventioner, förstärkande referenspunkter samt en sanningspräglad helhet. Angreppssätten kan med fördel användas inför framtida grafiska expanderingar mot en fotorealistisk stil där spelupplevelsen beaktas eller som språngbräde till framtida forskning..

Sedan Namibias självständighet 1990 är engelska landets officiella- och dominerande undervisningsspråk. Den officiella språkpolitikens mål är att skapa en enad nation genom engelskan som officiellt språk. Tidigare forskning visar emellertid att språksituationen i landet är mycket komplex. Möjliggörs eller begränsas individens vardag med engelska som officiellt språk? Hur upplevs den officiella visionen om en enad befolkning i det lokala rummet? I min studie lyfter jag fram hur den officiella språkpolitiken kan upplevas i vardagen.

Information is flowing over us and we get more and more used to being in a constant accessible state. The individual might spread his own word as he wishes. From a democratic point of view this should give a great opening for everyone into the public spheer.

The purpose of this thesis is to discuss education as a state tool in Sweden during the 17th and 18th century. The idea is to contrast the pragmatics of the Swedish education system with the theories of Rousseau and Comenius. The thesis is marked by the thought that theory and application diverse because of the subversive infusion in the ideas of the theoretic.The results shows that it is ultimately a question of public education and its potential. The state recognises the potential of public education but also its dangers and therefore becomes very active in forming not only the education system as a hole but also its pedagogic.

In the current study, the aim was to investigate whether tail posture and motion can be an indicator of the emotional state of pigs and if the tail posture of the pig is affected by social breeding value (SBV), coping style and/or housing. Emotional state can be defined in two dimensions: valence and arousal. Two batches of 96 finishing pigs were studied in a one generation selection experiment with a 2x2 set up and were housed in a barren or straw bedded pen. In each pen, 6 pigs (3 male, 3 female) were housed. A back-test was done to determine the coping style of the pigs with two categories; high resister and low resister pigs.

After W.W. II the Social democratic government wanted to modernize and rationalize the Swedish society. The university system was reformed[INS: :INS] to support growth of industry and science. But the reform did not reach Swedish academic library system and it was not well organized. The aim of this thesis is to analyze the reaction of the Swedish academic libraries to the new era in the framework of ideological criticism.

The swedish rule concerning the treatment of employee stock-options have changed and the new wording of the rule will be applicable for the first time in 2010. The previous wording of the rule stated that the employee shall be taxed for the stock-option when moving abroad, even if the option is not exercised. The Swedish Skatteverket and Regeringsrätten have found that this rule is in conflict with the free movement of persons within the European Union. The new wording of the rule states that the employee shall be taxed when the option is excercised, no matter where the employee is situated. A state`s right of taxation of a stock-option determines wheter and to what extent the employee stock-otion derives from that state..

The pig industry suffers economical loss due to stillbirths, piglet mortality and low birth weight. This is due to breeding programs that have resulted in larger litters. It has been suggested that these problems are due to the metabolic state of the sow during gestation and the fact that she might not be able to supply her foetuses with enough nutrients for survival and a high and even birth weight. A lot of research has been done to investigate whether body weight and back fat thickness of the sow has any impact on her reproductive traits and if there are any special feed components that improve reproduction. Fibers and unsaturated fatty acids have a positive impact on reproductive traits as long as the sow is fed a sufficient amount of energy and protein during gestation and lactation.

This thesis examines the everyday resistance, and its interaction with cultural hybridity, of the Saami population in the administrative unit of Torne lappmark during the period 1639?1732. To do this, the thesis uses theoretical concept of everday resistance as it has been described by JamesC. Scott and the theories of cultural hybridity as they have been described by Peter Burke. Primary source material used in this thesis consists of the court records from Torne lappmark, specifically from the courts at Jukkasjärvi and Enontekis.The results of this thesis present a picture of the everyday resistance in early modern Torne lappmark.

Therefore COO is used in marketing to position a brand.Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine how luxury fashion brands communicatetheir national identity through analyzing their advertising.
