This bachelor thesis is a critical study in which we are studying if the swedish reports of the so called ?second revolution? in Egypt have been objective. We have been studying this by using Jörgen Westerståhls objectivity model and we have chosen to investigate whether the reports have been objective balance-wise. The second revolution is a term which describes the protests and demonstrations that led to the military action in which the elected president Muhammad Mursi were forced to resign on the 4th of July, 2013The study includes articles from five leading Swedish newspapers, Aftonbladet, Dagens Nyheter, Expressen, Göteborgs-Posten and Svenska Dagbladet. We have been studying all the articles that include the word ?Egypt?.

Intentionen med detta arbete är att uppmärksamma citizenship education som blivit allt mer betydande när det gäller skapandet av nationell enighet/identitet i Kenya. Mer specifikt innebär det att arbetets syfte var att undersöka hur utvalda kenyanska gymnasielärare arbetar med att förmedla kunskapen om citizenship education för att skapa nationell identitet och vilket innehåll som presenteras. Bifrågan blir om lärarna därefter uppmanar eleverna på något sätt att praktisera den kunskap som förmedlas i skolan om demokratiska rättigheter i samhället. För att besvara undersökningens frågeställningar har jag granskat dokument, i form av litteratur och databaser samt genomfört intervjuer, vilka sedan har analyserats. Respondenterna i intervjuerna har fått svara på likvärdiga frågor och ämnesområden där sedan dessa har satts i kontrast mot varandra för att frambringa eventuella differenser.

I meet in my work as art teacher many students of different descent, were they, or their parents, have different school experience than the Swedish. This, in combination with therecent discussion after the Muhammad caricatures about the banning of images in Islamic religion, made me curious to study what art education in a Muslim country looked like. I went to visit the Maramra Egitim Köyü school in Istanbul, Turkey, and especially their art classesfrom grade five to eight, which are the same age of students that I have been working with thelast ten years. This was my first visit to Turkey.The question I ask is: What does the practice of Turkish art education look like, using the Marmara school as an example. Which discourses can I identify in the art teacher practice? What surprised me the most was the frequent visual exposure of the founder of the Turkishstate, Kemal Atatürk.

Bees are of importance for the global food security. In Europe 84% and in the World 35% of all the agricultural crops are dependent of animal pollination (Winfree et al., 2011:1). In agricultural production there is a huge lack of pollinators (Azien & Harden, 2009). A problem that is widely spread. In Sweden the problem becomes clear when looking at the statistics of the number of bee colonies during the last 20 years, where it has been a decline with 63 % (Statistiska Centralbyrån & Jordbruksverket, 2011).

Abstract This essay has grown out of an interest for the subject of religion and religious education for upper secondary pupils in Sweden. Our society is characterized by cultural, religious and secular diversity, which also reflects in the classroom where individuals with different religious preferences share space and participate in discussions. One of my aims is that this essay can be a contribution for future studies in the religious field. Previous research has shown that Swedish pupils increasingly lose interest in the subject of religion (on a personal level but also more in general). There is a possibility that this picture might have changed since these studies where done, and that is what I want to investigate in this essay.

Title: Jaunty Vaasa-lads and lazy boys ? a study of masculinity and patriotism in the Civil Guard in Vaasa in relation to the Finnish Civil War of 1918.This paper deals with the subject of expressions of masculinity in relation to patriotism and nationalism as a part of the mobilisation of the so called white side in the Finnish Civil War of 1918. With regards to how this was expressed in the local Civil Guard in the town of Vaasa. The focus   lies on the construction of an ideal masculinity within this specific Civil Guard as expressed            in the Guards own documents of different varieties, during the events in the spring of 1918 and at the one year anniversary of its outbreak. Syftet med denna studie är att ta reda på elevers attityder gentemot muslimer på en gymnasieskola i Småland. Med hjälp av en konstruerad enkät fick elever i årskurs ett och tre på Naturvetenskapsprogrammet och i årskurs ett och tre på Fordonstekniska programmet på denna småländska skola ta ställning till åtta påståenden om muslimer. I studien jämförs dessa två programs enkätsvar för att se om det finns likheter och skillnader i elevernas attityder. Elevernas svar till de åtta påståendena kopplas till deras bakgrund som exempelvis religionstillhörighet och ifall de har muslimska vänner eller inte för att se samband. Enkätsvaren har bearbetats med hjälp av socialkonstruktivistisk teori och Peter Bergers och Thomas Luckmanns socialisationsteori.Resultatet visar att eleverna på Naturvetenskapsprogrammet på denna skola generellt sett är mycket positiva till muslimer och deras religionsutövande, men ett par är negativa till bärandet av slöja, byggandet av moskéer i Sverige samt muslimsk invandring.

This subject of interest in this paper is the ideas expressed and formulated in the making andinauguration of the Branting-monument at Norra Bantorget in Stockholm. The initiative for a monument honoring the late Social Democratic leader Hjalmar Brantingwas taken at the Swedish Social Democratic Party Congress in 1928. In 1935 the party board decided to give the task of designing the monument to the much renowned artist Carl Eldh. A national fund-raising campaign for the monument was also initiated. In1942 the model of the monument was completed, but because of the war it was stored in a shelter.

I detta arbete har jag undersökt hur diskussionen om niqab har sett ut i Frankrike, Storbritannien och Sverige. Jag har även undersökt olika lagar som till exempel religionsfrihet och mänskliga rättigheter. För att få en ökad förståelse om länder kan förbjuda niqab. Jag har samlat in mina data genom artiklar som jag hämtat från databaser som CSA Social Sciences, PsycInfo och Social Services Abstracts, tidningsartiklar som publicerats i Dagens Nyheter samt protokoll från riksdagens hemsida. Jag har även läst litteratur om islam för att få en djupare förståelse för hur religionen ser ut.

International trade in services has increased over the past 30 years as a result of progress in information and communication technology, increased focus on services from the manufacturing sector and the establishment of trade associations.The international market for healthcare services, also referred to as medical tourism, is growing more and more. Patients increasingly seeking treatment at other countries healthcare systems because of long queues within their own country or because it exists better prices for the same care abroad. However, this type of service exports occurs at a limited extent in Sweden.The purpose of this study is to highlight and analyze the conditions for Swedish service companies to export healthcare services. This, includes the challenges and opportunities that exist to expand the exports of these services.The approach for this study has been in the form of interviews with two market actors and written responses, from the same interview guide, with three market actors. These market participants are the so-called Care companies which export healthcare services in various counties, and the membership organization Swecare who work with export promotion activities for its members in the Swedish healthcare sector.

This paper examines how the ideal of manhood is portrayed and constructed and how the participation of Swedish soldier volunteers are motivated and legitimatized. The purpose of this examination is to gain understanding and knowledge about the Swedish soldiers in the Swedish brigade, how they legitimatize and motivate their participation and how the ideal of manhood is portrayed and constructed. The study is based on material from the war archive in Stockholm. The empirical material is composed by letters and propaganda material. In the analysis of the empirical study, there have been two theories used which are Eric Hobsbawms historical method and theory about invented traditions and Peter Aronssons historical method and theory about ?historiebruk? and legitimacy.
