This work consists of two studies. One is based on an inquiery to nurseries with production of woody plants, and the other on visits to gardencenters, primarily in Skåne but also in Stockholm. Inquieries where sent to 87 nurseries, 48 of them replied. The purpous of the inquiery was to make a thorough investigation of the ligneous production at the Swedish nurseries, what is produced and in what quantities. Within the inquiery was also a thorough look at the fruit tree production. This to be able to conclude what cultivars that are produced and how large part of that production that is certified according to the Swedish Board of Agriculture (SJV).

Uppsatsen behandlar styrningsverktyg i arbetet mot ett ekologiskt hållbart samhälle, av kommuner nyttjade styrmedel och de boendes uppfattning av dessa. Fokus ligger på de boendes respons på miljömål i uppbyggnaden av den ekologiska stadsdelen Hammarby Sjöstad i Stockholm.Med hjälp av kvalitativ metod och djupintervjuer med 14 boende studeras de styrmedel som används för att påverka och förändra de boendes miljöbeteende, de boendes inställning till dessa samt vilka drivkrafter som finns bland de boende för att agera miljövänligt.De aktuella styrmedlen; regleringar, ekonomiska styrmedel och informativa styrmedel presenteras med hjälp av citat från intervjuerna och redovisas utifrån strukturell, positionell samt individuell nivå. Dessutom redovisas meso-kontextens påverkan samt individens egna drivkrafter för miljöbeteende.Teorier som tas upp och relateras till det empirirska materialet är makt, governmentality samt relevant urban- och miljöforskning. I resultatet framkommer exempelvis att de boende efterfrågar inbyggda lösningar för ett miljövänligare samhälle. I diskussionen resoneras bland annat kring den krock som kan finnas mellan de olika diskurserna; miljövänlighet och senmodernitet..

Introduction:By insight in the company and by monitoring the management, the board has an important function in creating trust in governance of the company. Furthermore, the board reduces the asymmetry of information between the owners and the management, which also is the function of the auditor, by auditing how the board governs the company and the accounting. In case the board does not effectively monitor the management, the auditor has to extend its monitoring, which increases the owners agency costs through the audit fee. STÖDCENTER FÖR EU-MIGRANTER I LILJEHOLMENIdag består den snabbast växande gruppen hemlösa i Stockholm av arbetsimmigranter från andra EU-länder .Mitt projekt har som syfte att erbjuda denna grupp människor med en byggnad som kan hjälpa dem integreras in i samhället, och fungera som en länk och mellansteg mellan livet i utanförskap och ett värdigt liv med möjlighet till jobb, eget boende och social gemenskap..

Syftet men denna uppsats är attundersöka om socialtjänsten bidrar till stämpling av klienter med missbruksproblematik genom sitt sätt att arbeta. De frågeställningar vi försöker besvara är om personer med missbruksproblematik får sina individuella behov tillgodosedda, eller om de stämplas utifrån en hel grupp. Vi frågar oss även om det är skillnad i hur män och kvinnor med missbruksproblematik får hjälp..

Vi har på förslag från Johan Östergren, rektor på Sjömansskolan i Stockholm, kartlagt vad som fungerar bra och vad som fungerar mindre bra med det nuvarande systemet för bedömning av elevernas insatser när de är ute på APU (Arbetsplatsförlagd utbildning). Genom att intervjua elever, handledare, lärare och rektor, har vi bland annat undersökt hur kommunikationen mellan grupperna ser ut och vad de olika grupperna anser om de nuvarande dokumenten som eleverna arbetar med under APU:n. När elevens APU är slut ska handledaren lämna en betygsrekommendation till läraren, men på vilka grunder görs denna bedömning? Vi gör en historisk återblick för att ge läsaren förståelse för den yrkeskultur och tradition som finns inom sjömansyrket. Den svenska sjömansutbildningen jämförs i ett internationellt perspektiv med den lärlingsanpassade sjömansutbildningen i Danmark.

Uppsatsen behandlar frågeställningar kring gatukonstens existens i Stockholm: vilka platser den tar i anspråk, vilka uttryck den har och vilka de bakomliggande motiven är. Vidare berörs frågor kring det offentliga rummet som demokratisk idé. Syftet med föreliggande uppsats är att belysa gatukonsten som en reaktion mot ett alltmer kommersialiserat och privatiserat offentligt rum. Som blivande bildpedagog finner även uppsatsförfattaren att det är angeläget att diskutera frågor som rör det offentliga rummets möjligheter och begränsningar utifrån demokratiska aspekter. Detta för att försöka uppmuntra elever till ett kritiskt tänkande i frågan samt väcka ett intresse för och inspireras av gatukonstens grepp, ideologiska och visuella uttryck.Uppsatsen behandlar frågeställningar om gatukonst utifrån ett perspektiv som ligger nära konstutövarnas utgångspunkt och för fram ståndpunkten om gatukonsten som en alternativ, viktig, social rörelse.Gestaltningsdelen i arbetet behandlar frågeställningen utifrån de platser som kan kallas för odefinierbara platser, där gatukonsten ofta uppträder.

In the summer of 2009 the High Line opened in New York, a park built on an out-of use elevated rail viaduct. The park meanders its way through the buildings and allows the visitor to see the city from a totally different perspecive than we are used to.I have made a Design proposal in Eriksdalslunden, Stockholm, with inspiration from the High Line. The proposal is based on design ideas of a park I logically call the Low Line, as the place isn't elevated as in New York, but lowered. The two places have some similarities, mainly the strong urban identity and the tracks crossing both areas. They also have very obvious differences, above all the fact that Eriksdalslunden is situated in a swale and is defined in a third dimension by the high bridges that crosses the area.The High Line is designed by James Corner Field Operations, and they have been working using their motto 'Keep it Simple, Keep it Wild, Keep it Quiet and Keep it Slow' during the whole process, words that normally aren't associated to Manhattan.

Sweden is today a country with ethnic, cultural and religious diversity. My aim in this study is to study what view of Islam and Muslims that students at a Catholic school in Stockholm have. The reason why Catholic schools are interesting to study is that previous research has showed that Muslim students around Europe often attend catholic schools as they are regarded as more tolerant towards religion. This study is based on a questionnaire and personal interviews with upper secondary students at the Catholic school in Stockholm. The result is compared with previous research on students of the same age group (12-15 years).

One of the city of Stockholm?s main objectives is to have a society completely free from fossil fuels. To achieve this, several investments regarding improvements in energy efficiency and renewable energy are currently being planned or implemented. One of these investments is a project called Hallbara Jarva which is located in the suburbs of Stockholm. The purpose of this thesis is to examine the prospects of an investment in photovoltaic cells from an energy-saving and economical point of view. The analysis is limited to three buildings within Hallbara Jarva and is intended for the property owner.  Solar energy is a type of renewable energy source and is commonly divided into solar heating and solar power.

Inom grossistbranschen associeras distributionen med svårigheter så som många kunder, små godsvolymer per kund och krav på korta ledtider. Många kunder kräver dessutom leveranser inom vissa tidsfönster. Dessa faktorer ställer höga krav på logistiken och skapar behov om hög leveransservice.Inom transportbranschen råder idag generellt en relativt låg datormognad. Sedan tidigare finns avancerade digitala informationssystem tillgängliga för inköp, ordermottagning och lagerkontroll. Utvecklingen går dock mot att även logistik- och transportavdelningarna i större utsträckning börjar använda sig av mer avancerade transporttekniska hjälpmedel.

The aim of this master´s thesis is to explore how Stockholms new library´s identity is constructed, and further to relate the case study to a general discussion of the identity of public libraries in Sweden. This is done through analysis of the visions and plans that the planned library is based on. We feel that it is a relevant study since questions concerning the public library's identity are for library and information science as well as the institution. Questions posed in the study are: How is the roles and identity of the planned library described in the texts that form the basis of the project? What characterises the relationship between the present and the planned library? What discourses concerning the public library's identity can we see in the material?The theoretical framework of the thesis is a discourse oriented analysis based on the critical discourse analysis of Norman Fairclough.

Marketing of education is a phenomenon which has been developed throughout the increasing competition within the educational sector. The focus of this paper is the marketing made by upper secondary schools (grade 10-12) in Stockholm. The competition in this area is increasing partly due to the growing number of private schools. However, this is a phenomenon seen only in larger cities with several schools available. There are over 170 upper secondary schools in Stockholm and the students freely can choose among these.

Detta examensarbete är utfört på uppdrag av företaget Releye i Stockholm. Målet var att skapa ett smidigt utläggsredovisningssystem åt de anställda där de varje månad kan redovisa utlägg som har behövts göras exempelvis under en resa för att träffa en kund. Projektet bygger i huvudsak på ASP.NET MVC 3, jQuery samt MSSQL. Resultatet blev en funktionell webbapplikation där användaren enkelt kan lägga till, ändra eller ta bort utlägg via ett intuitivt gränssnitt samt se historik för tidigare månader..

The purpose of this study was to examine whether the degree of discipline in social services may be the reason why more children are evicted in one municipality in Stockholm, compared to another. Since our purpose was to study the degree of discipline in social services work with eviction cases where children are concerned, discipline is therefore a central part of the study. The interest in the subject arose from our prior understanding that social services approach to discipline may affect the extent of evictions. In order to answer the study?s question at issue, a qualitative interview was conducted to create an understanding of the discipline and a vignette study was conducted to compare the social workers assessments in two municipalities in Stockholm, Högstad and Lågby.
