The main purpose of this bachelor thesis is to create a product in the form of a database that can be used for cost estimates of equipment within bio refineries. Through interviews and literature searches the key components and their costs were identified. The database was constructed in Microsoft Excel with different tabs for different categories of components; these tabs are further divided into three parts: one part with costs, one part with calculations and an information part. Most of the part with costs contains the expenses found in scientific papers during the literature study, the calculating part converts different capacities according to user preferences and the currency to euro (?) from 2010 and the information part consists of references and information about what is included in the cost.The database is a good tool for making cost estimates for bio refineries.

Sammanfattning Denna uppsats handlar om barns tankar efter att ha läst en skönlitterär bok med en historisk handling. Jag har valt att intervjua fem barn i tioårsåldern som går på olika skolor i en mellanstor stad. Mitt syfte är att ta reda på vilka kunskaper barnen tillägnar sig genom att läsa skönlitteratur? Min huvudfråga lyder: ?Vad anser barnen att de lär sig genom att läsa skönlitteratur? Delfrågor: ?Vad anser barnen påverkar deras intresse för en bok? ?Hur kan en bok med historisk handling öka intresset för historieämnet? För att få svar på mina frågor har jag använt mig av kvalitativa intervjuer med en narrativ ansats. Med detta menas en forskningstradition som tar utgångspunkt i berättelser.

Syftet med denna studie är att identifiera skillnader och likheter i olika pianolärares undervisningsupplägg, samt undersöka om deras synsätt och metoder går att knyta till de respektive genrer som de undervisar i. Inom forskning och litteratur har motsättningar som kan kopplas till afro och klassiskt undersökts och framställts i kontraster såsom gehör kontra noter eller improvisatoriskt kontra återgivande. Sådana motsättningar ligger till grund för föreliggande studies intresseområde.Studien utgår från ett sociokulturellt perspektiv, vilket innebär att lärande ses som en social aktivitet, där kunskap finns i kommunikation och de redskap som har växt fram i samhället. Datamaterialet består av kvalitativa intervjuer med fyra mer eller mindre aktiva musiker/pianopedagoger (två afrolärare och två klassiska lärare) med olika arbetssituationer.Resultatet visar att individanpassning och musikalisk mening samt glädjefullhet värderas högt i samtliga informanters pianoundervisning. Målet tycks vara att eleverna får uppleva glädje av att kunna musicera, snarare än att de ska bli ?stora? och kända pianister.

Arvika Fastighets AB is a municipal subsidiary tasked with managing all green areas in the municipality, with a strong focus on the City Park and plant beds in the city centre. These areas generate large amounts of green waste, which is currently transported to the municipality's composting area at Lycke. Currently, the material is piled up and turned once a year without using the resulting soil for flowerbeds, lawns, and shrub/tree plantings. The purpose of the study is to determine if Arvika can compost the green waste in a more efficient manner and produce weed-free soil ready to be mixed into various substrates for different purposes. Interviews with the Swedish Church and several municipalities in Sweden have been conducted to learn from their experiences and knowledge of how they make their composting work.

This study is commissioned by the Swedish University of Agricultural Science (SLU - Department of Forest Resource Management) in coorporation with Sveaskog and Vilhelmina Norra Sami reindeer herding community. The purpose of this study is to analyse movement patterns and habitat use of reindeers during two winter seasons (2005/2006 and 2006/2007) in areas affected by forestry activities such as clearcutting. This study examines the possibilities of analysing information from Reindeer husbandry plans and forest variable data from kNN and SMD, in relation to GPS collar points from reindeers by using Geographical Information System (GIS). Lack of knowledge and understanding between the reindeer industry and the timber industry has often led to heated debates. The possibilities of using this type of technique are very interesting and could increase knowledge concerning land-use issues to different resource users. The main results from analyses comparing SMD, kNN, data about clearcuts, and GPS collar points from reindeers indicates that clearcut areas, younger forest, coniferous forest on lichen-dominated areas and areas dominated by pine was preferred by reindeers during the winter period.

The health care system in most western countries is undergoing rapid changes with an increasing amount of people living with chronic cancer. These people have to deal with their disease in every day life together with working and family life. The relationship between health services and every day life has changed and raises new requirements. Earlier research has shown that maintaining every day life is important for cancer patients and their families. This study comprised patients with lymphoma receiving their diagnosis during 2003 ? 2005.

Vid objektorienterad systemutveckling är det viktigt att man genomför en analys- och designfas, dels för att man inom ett utvecklingsteam lättare ska kunna visualisera hur ett system är tänkt att bli och dels för att kunna fånga och åskådliggöra kundens krav. Till sin hjälp i dessa faser har man metoder/processer och modelleringsspråk. Varje företag har i regel haft sin egen variant av ovan nämnda, men allteftersom kom kravet på en gemensam standard att bli oundvikligt. Sedan ett antal år tillbaka finns nu en standard. Trots det finns det säkert företag kvar som ännu inte antagit denna standard.

Det saknas logopediskt bedömningsmaterial normerat för flerspråkiga barn, och kunskapen om dessa barns typiska tal- och språkutveckling är begränsad hos logopeder i Sverige. Detta leder till över- och underdiagnostisering av språkstörning. Denna studie syftar till att undersöka svensk-engelsktalande barns narrativer (berättelser). Dessa analyseras kvantitativt och kvalitativt, både makrostrukturellt (story grammar) och mikrostrukturellt (lingvistiska mått). Även narrativ förståelse undersöks och jämförs med produktion.

Vi hade som avsikt att med denna uppsats undersöka vilka effekter berättande tv-reklam har på konsumenter. Mer specifikt var syftet att studera vad konsumenter kommer ihåg av tv-reklam som är uppbyggd av storytelling, men även hur de beter sig då reklamerna visas och vad som gör berättande tv-reklam intressant. Studien utgick ifrån fyra företag som använder sig av berättande tv-reklam, dessa företag agerar på den svenska marknaden och är: ICA, Din El, Norrlands Guld samt Telia.Undersökningen var av kvantitativ art, med en enkät som underlag för insamlingen av empiri. Även teorier har granskats och sammanställts för att bygga en stadig grund och har fungerat som utgångspunkt inför analys och slutsatser. I studiens resultat fann vi att det är viktigt att varumärket har en tydlig koppling till tv-reklamen.

The guest harbor on Utö, Utö Gästhamn, is currently using electricity for heating all of the water used in the showers and taps. Because of the large amount of visitors, especially during the summer months, the hot water usage gets very high and that is also the case for the electrical bills. During the year of 2011 the cost of electricity for Utö Gästhamn reached a total of 257 500 kr. Out of these 257 500 kr approximately 142 000 kr, 55 % of the total cost, were because of the water heating.The report is the result of a cooperation with Skärgårdsstiftelsen, the Green Islands-project and Utö Gästhamn where the mutual goal is to dimension a solar energy system, to promote the sustainable development.Initially the different techniques for the solar energy system are researched. The techniques are plane solar collectors, evacuated tube collectors, pool collectors and photovoltaic cells.

Promoters are genetic elements that facilitate the transcription of a gene and they have been found in front of non-coding RNA (ncRNA) genes in different organ-isms, e.g. the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana. A similar element, DUSE, has been found in front of ncRNAs in the social amoeba Dictyostelium discoideum and a part of this project has been to analyze the function of this putative promoter element through cloning and expression studies. A construct to analyze the func-tion of DUSE was successfully designed and introduced into D. discoideum but full expression studies were not finished because of shortage of time.

It begins with an exploration of the music of Claude Debussy and then goes on with other methods and scales and also includes an analytic chapter and results at the end. With "strokes of music" I mean a musical technique, which has some parallels to how a painter can choose colors and palettes to express what he is looking for ? the freedom to choose between colors and palettes, or in music tones and scales ? to move between them by sudden or leading modulations, from the diatonic scales with alternative formations, to the symmetric spheres, to the melodic pentatonic scales and other alternative new formations, using plateauic solutions or chords in diatonic, functional and non-functional progressions. This is a critical discourse analysis of the conformation of the conflict in Goma, Democratic Republic of the Congo, as constructed by Ekot, a news-show on Radio Sweden. The ambition of this bachelor thesis is to examine the production of a Congolese conflict for a Swedish audience and to find out how the construction differences with and without a reporter in the field. To obtain this purpose the narrative is studied as well as the use of voices that define the conflict. The construction of proximity between Swedish audience and the Congolese event and the meaning of sound to stabilize the formation of discourse within foreign news is examined as well. To conform and explain foreign news it must be put in relation to a starting point.

For Skattkärr IF a turf field with warming has been projected to increase field?s utilization hours and to have a longer period for athletes to perform their activities outdoors. The technique chosen to heat the plan is a type of a geothermal heating system without a heat pump. The brine, which is water with 30% ethanol, collects heat from the borehole and discharges it to a coil in the field. There is at position 11 boreholes but it is planned to increase the number to 31, which is the design for the facility.
