Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka om det fanns en skillnad på studentens prestation i ett läsförståelsetest (TISUS), beroende på vilket tonläge (dur eller moll) på klassisk musik de fick lyssna på. Undersökningen genomfördes som ett laboratorieexperiment i en studierum på Karlstads Universitet, utifrån en oberoende mellan-grupps-design. Urvalet var ett tillfällighetsurval av studenter (N= 26), i åldrarna 19 ? 33, inom Karlstads Universitet. Oberoende variabeln var klassiskt musik komponerad av Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, vilket var uppdelat i de två olika betingelserna dur och moll.

Syftet med det här utvecklingsarbetet är att ge ett förslag på hur man som lärare kan engagera och motivera fler elever till att sträva efter att nå målen i ämnena svenska och historia på högstadiet. Utifrån tidigare forskning, olika teoretiker, läroplanen för grundskola 2011 och de nya kursplanerna för svenska och historia utformas ett utvecklingsarbete som utgår från ett tematiskt arbetssätt där skönlitteratur har en central roll i temat och där läromedel ersätts med olika varierade moment som film, museum besök, gästföreläsare etc. Temat kallas revolutionernas tidevarv och behandlar 1700-1800 talet med fokus på Franska revolutionen, ideologier och de samhällströmningar som följer av detta. Eleverna jobbar både i grupp och med tre stycken individuella uppgifter. Temaarbetet sträcker sig över sex veckor och totalt 30 timmar.

Sverige och Finland är två länder som ofta jämförs. Så även inom utbildning då media framställer finska barn som framgångsrika. Förutom hög status inom lärarprofessionen i Finland bekräftas framstegen i PISAs undersökningar där finska skolungdomar presterar höga resultat. För de små barnen går största delen av dagen ut på att leka och undersöka deras närmiljö. Genom leken skaffar sig barnet värdefulla färdigheter som gagnar barnet i det livslånga lärandet.

The purpose of this study is to illustrate teacher humor by critically examining it from an interpersonal- and humor communicative-perspective; and to discuss teacher interpersonal humor communication-skills in relation to the Swedish high school curriculum, collegial relationships and pedagogical aspects. The study?s empiric material consists of semi-structured interviews with six high school-teachers currently working at the same school, but of different age and gender. The interviews indicate that the informants all have developed humor competence, an interpersonal communicative-skill that allows them to use humor efficiently. Moreover, the result demonstrates that the teachers have various humor approaches but that they all use humor in the classroom for much of the same reasons.

This paper is a qualitative study of the pedagogical conditions and the knowledge necessary for the creation and development of an education regarding leadership in the field of amateur theatre.The purpose of the study has been for participants to reflect and create knowledge about the creation and implementation of a course for leaders of amateur theatre.Questions raised in the study concern the students? previous experience of drama, theatre and leadership; their desire to become leaders of theatre; their own view of their need for knowledge for their future leadership; their understanding of the contents of the education and the theoretical perspectives upon which a course in theatre leadership can build. Finally, the participants? perceptions of difficulties and possibilities of working as theatre leaders were investigated.All 13 participants have answered a questionnaire regarding their previous experience of drama, theatre and leadership and also about why they want to become theatre leaders. The participants have also taken part in four focus conversations regarding what they think they learned, how they value the knowledge they gained and what knowledge they feel will be needed in a future leadership.The data has been analyzed hermeneutically to find patterns in the participants? perceptions of their learning.

Uppsatsen syftar till att analysera tänkbara konsekvenser av rödakorskonsulenters uppfattningar om en framtida rollförändring, samt diskutera lämpliga strategier för rödakorskonsulenten gentemot arbetsområdet.Uppsatsen är av kvalitativ art och baseras på sju stycken intervjuer med rödakorskonsulenter inom Röda Korset. För att kunna besvara vårt syfte har intervjuerna analyserats utifrån följande aspekter: förändring, arbetsberikning, handlingsutrymme, ledarskap och makt.Vi har kommit fram till att en förändring av rödakorskonsulentrollen troligtvis inte kommer att innebära en särskilt stor förändring för rödakorskonsulenterna, eftersom de redan idag till stor del arbetar på det sätt som den föreslagna förändringen förespråkar. Vi har dock kommit fram till att det är viktigt att rödakorskonsulenterna utvecklar specifika strategier för att kunna hantera och förstå sitt arbetsområde bättre. Dessa strategier inbegriper olika typer av makt som rödakorskonsulenterna kan bygga upp i förhållande till de frivilliga, samt hur delaktighet, motivation och engagemang kan skapas. Vi presenterar en modell som ger rödakorskonsulenterna möjlighet att reflektera över hur dessa strategier samverkar.

Shivering är ett fenomen som uppstår hos patienterna postoperativt. Det innebär att patienten har okontrollerbara muskelskälvningar som gör att patienten darrar, skälver eller huttrar i mer än 15 sekunder. Shivering påverkar kroppen negativt, men är också obehagligt och ett onödigt lidande för patienten. I takt med den tekniska utvecklingen utarbetas nya operationstekniker och idag utförs flera operationer med laparoskopisk teknik. Pilotstudiens syfte var att undersöka före-komsten av postoperativ shivering hos patienter som opererats med laparoskopisk teknik.

Kompetensutveckling under arbetsplatsförlagd utbildning inom sluten somatisk vård för omvårdnadsstuderande på vuxenutbildning.Sammanfattning: Arbetsplatsförlagd utbildning (APU) har en central plats på omvårdnadsutbildning för vuxenstuderande. Det är därför av vikt att APU:n gynnar de studerandes möjligheter till kompetensutveckling. Vårt syfte är att undersöka hur vuxenstuderande inom omvårdnadsutbildning upplever förutsättningar för sin kompetensutveckling under APU inom sluten somatisk vård. För att kunna besvara syftet har en abduktiv kvalitativ metod utifrån det sociokulturella perspektivet använts och semistrukturerade intervjuer genomförts. Det empiriska materialet bygger på intervjuer före och efter APU:n med åtta omvårdnadsstuderande.

The political landscape is constantly changing and influenced by outside forces. The strong connection to the traditional media has evolved to include a new important part, social media. A good way for the politics to utilize social media is through their youth associations, whose main purpose is to engage young people and spark their interest in politics. Due to the increasing influence of social media, the politicians, parties and various actors have to adapt to its demands, to be able to gain visibility on these platforms. One way to adapt is to become more entertainment driven, because these platforms are a safespace where people find time to relax and have a good time. With a growing emphasis on simplified, engaging and more fun political massages, political communication has changed its form. This phenomenon is referred to as ?politainment? and encapsulates the merging of politics and entertainment. The purpose of this study is to examine and measure the frequency of politainment in Swedish political youth associations political communications.

This Master?s thesis examines library courses, a relatively new form of user education. Our focus is on the pedagogical point-of-views reflected in the text in these library courses. The primary purpose of the study is to analyze the pedagogical discourse displayed in the library courses to determine if the perspective is behavioural, cognitive, constructive or socio cultural. We are investigating if the pedagogical discourse differs from course to course, and if so, how are they different? In addition we aim to find out how the pedagogical discourse in the library courses relates to university websites and governmental and legal texts, at the discursive and social practice level.

Spotify is a music service that offers on-demand streaming and is available in several countries worldwide. As the company and the interest for it grows, more and more parties are involved and those involved, including the record labels want to control and get an overview of their products. They want to be able to see, for example, when a product is available on Spotify and in which countries.Spotify is in May 2013 in process of developing a to be used by administrators on Spotify in order to meet the record labels with the information requested. The new software intends being used by administrators but also by the record labels so that they will be able to overview their products availability.We were asked by one of the developers to conduct user interviews and tests to result in a design proposal on how the display page of information about a product could be visualized more clearly so that it suits both record labels and employees at Spotify. The results of our contextual interviews were translated into a prototype with two display pages.

In one of six garbage collectors area in Cairo, Esbet el Nakhl, there's a handicap school run by the Coptic church. We chose to study this school using observations and interviews. The purpose of our thesis has been to describe the school, the goals of the education and the educational forms. The questions we asked our selves before the trip to Cairo were; how does the school look like? What's a garbage collectors area? How do the teachers educate the children? How's the situation for the handicapped children?We spent six days of observations and interviews at the school gathering information for the thesis.

Purpose: To examine the hearing environment for tattoo artists regarding occupational noiseand to see whether tattoo artists are exposed to hazardous noise according to Swedish WorkEnvironment Authority regulations. Method: Using a dosimeter we measured a total ofseven sessions of approximately one hour on seven different subjects, located on five studiosin Gothenburg. As a complement we did also hand out surveys based on twelve questions toexamine habits, experienced sound environment and to see if there were any hearing relatedpatterns. Results:. Sound level measurements showed that the lower exposure action valueLpAeq,8h 80 dB(A) in one case was reached if applied to the average working time of sixhours.
