Ebbas klänning Uppmätning och analys som källa till information i kombination med historisk undersökning
This study focuses on costume as a source of information. By making a case study of an 1880's dress itaims to explore the conservators potential as an investigator and conveyor of the information containedin a costume. Further explanation of this role is made by reference to several statements made by wellknown textile conservators. The paper also explores the different words used to make a new version ofa preserved or inexistant garment, gives an extensive presentation of taking patterns and an insight tothe other methods used for analysing costumes. The case study consists of an investigation of the dressconstruction, during which a pattern is taken, and a literature study of the contemporary fashion, theowner of the dress and the maker of the dress.
Medarbetarskap ? en studie av medarbetarskap i en arkitektbyrå
Companies and organizations recognize the importance of collaboration to develop responsibility and ability of change in the workplace. The concept of collaboration was a relatively new idea in business in the late 1980s. In a Nordic context, collaboration is a traditional approach that companies use successfully for competition, survival and development. Collaborative organizational efforts cover management of committed people who can help companies achieve flexibility, customer loyalty, innovation and economic success on a challenging and competitive market. Many theorists believe that collaboration is the key to integrating technology, financial competence and innovation.
Samverkan arkitektur och installationer : Osynligt ventilationssystem i utställningssal på Plan 4, Nationalmuseum
Detta examensarbete har utförts i samarbete Statens Fastighetsverk. I dagsläget pågår renoveringen av Nationalmuseum där byggnaden skall återställas till sitt ursprung och ett nytt ventilationssystem skall tillgodose ett stabilt inneklimat för bevarandet av museiföremålen. Examensarbetet undersöker hur de krav som ställs på ventilationssystemet kan kombineras med de begränsningar som byggnadens kulturminnesmärkning medför genom att besvara frågan ?Hur kombinerar man dagens behov av installationer med en kulturhistorisk byggnad utan att påverka det kulturhistoriska värdet?? För att exemplifiera denna problematik presenterar vi ett principiellt lösningsförslag för installationssamordningen till en utvald del av byggnaden.Ventilationsförsörjningen till utställningssalarna på Plan 4 utgör ett av de svåraste samordningsområdena i byggnaden. Det valda utrymmet för lösningsförslaget är bjälklaget på Plan 6 som skall försörja en av dessa salar.
Taggade bibliotek ? en studie av adoptionen av RFID på svenska folkbibliotek
The purpose of our research was to examine whether the acceptance and diffusion of RFID technology among the employees at public libraries in Sweden, follow the classic diffusion of innovation model. RFID or Radio Frequency Identification, is a technology that uses radio frequency and microchip technology to track items, in our case, library books and other library materials. Diffusion is the process by which, in our case, the RFID technology is adopted by the library staff. The purpose of this study was to examine what factors influenced the acceptance and adoption of RFID among the library staff. We used Everett Rogers' Diffusion of innovation theory as our framework.
Samarbetssvårigheter och konflikter mellan dag och nattpersonal inom äldreomsorgen : En studie ur medarbetares och enhetschefers perspektiv
We investigated a retirement home, where we looked at whether there are differences, disagreements or conflicts between teams who work day and night shifts. Our purpose was to examine the Heads of Unit and the employees perspectives on their perceived work situation, cooperation difficulties and why they emerged. We chose the general systems theory as our theoretical basis, which gave us the opportunity to highlight different parts that can affect the working climate and the cooperation of the working groups. The study also highlights the importance of structure, common goals, reporting and dialogue meetings. To understand the perceived work situation, we used methodological triangulation, using quantitative and qualitative methods (surveys, semi-structured interviews).
Animerad långfilm, en studie kring röster och rollsättning
This thesis aims to explore the use of costumed interpreters at museums. Firstly the thesis examines how extensivethe use of historical costumes is in Sweden, along with some international comparisons. Later on the differentways that the clothes are used is examined, and the costume as a resource for learning is discussed. In the lastpart of the thesis the ?function? of the costume is examined.
Livet mellan husen : ett utvecklingsförslag för Disagården
The open air museum of Disagården is situated in the Old Uppsala parish,
Uppsala municipality, are projected to portray a double row village, before
the land enclosure, on the Uppsala plain during the 1860s and 1870s.
Disagården operates under the County Museum of Uppland and serves as an
exhibit of Uppland's farming culture during the late 19th century. However, an
open-air museum is a complex institution where many interests are linked
together. Disagården aims to simultaneously portray an historical
environment while offering broad public appeal.
The Disagården open air museum was inaugurated in 1931 and consists of
relocated buildings that together form three farm complexes "Gränbygården",
"Skuttungegården" and "Bärbygården".
The thesis explores how the close surroundings of a typical farm in
Uppland looked during the 1860s and 1870s. This historical depiction has then
been applied to Disagården in a development suggestion creating a
foundation from which Disagården can structure the close cultivation of the
different farms. The basis of the development program has primarily been
compiled through archival and literary studies but also through on-site visits
and interviews.
How did the concept of open air museums start and what were the ideas
behind the concept? Which external influences affected the situating of
cultivations and buildings? Which crops and species were present on the
farms in Uppland during the specified time period? What was the relation of
the different structures to each other? Which organizations had influences on
the farmer's household of the Uppland plain? The thesis attempts to clarify
the answers to these questions.
The influences affecting on the farmer's household in Uppland were
probably numerous.
IT-supporten i kommunala verksamheter: En fallstudie av Umeå kommun
The objective of this study was to examine how an IT department has been affected by the changes of increased local usage of IT, and how the usage have affected municipalities IT departments demands of IT support. In the study we explore how both the IT department and the IT support works by interviewing present and former employees at the local IT department. The current IT department have undergone a series of local changes over the last 20 years, the department has gone from only having internal users to getting the entire municipalitiy?s agencies of IT as users. It started with how the municipality began to dig down fiber optic cable in the middle of the 1990?s, and today has started to develop solutions as to how to meet the demands of future usage of IT.
Skogsentreprenör 2007 : en kvantitativ studie av organiserade skogsentreprenörer i Sverige
SMF Skogsentreprenörerna is a nationwide organisation for Swedish forestry contractors. It has about 750 organised companies with somewhere around 1500 logging machines. These machines perform well over 50% of all yearly landed wood in Sweden. The members of SMF also performs more and more of other functions in Swedish professional forestry, such as soil scarification, planting and pre-commercial thinning of younger stands.
In order to determine what major priorities SMF should focus on in the future a member survey was initialised and carried out by SMF together with Daniel Larsson-Snygg, student at the swedish university of agricultural sciences SLU.
This report presents the result of this survey sent out to all members of SMF. It is intended to answer a number of questions about their entrepreneurship such as:
What different kinds of work do these companies perform? How many machines and employees do they have? How old are the company owners and their employees? What are their thoughts about the future of their business? How well does SMF serve their members needs?.
Brottoch Straff - Nu och Då : En studie av hur elever i årskurs åtta upplever en historiskupplevelsedag
Studien är genomförd i sex åttondeklasser, från två högstadieskolor i Kalmar tätort. Utifrån undersökningens syfte har vi genomfört en kvalitativ enkätundersökning.Undersökningens syfte är att undersöka respondenternas upplevelser och reflektioner från temadagen Brott och Straff, som har genomförts på Kalmar slott i delad regi av slottet och Kalmar läns museum. Studien behandlar hur respondenterna uppfattar kulturmiljöpedagogiken som ett hjälpmedel i deras lärande. Det är en fallstudie, och inte en generell uppfattning från samtliga åttondeklasser i Sverige.Enkätsvaren, och tillika empirin, studerades utifrån två olika perspektiv, dels för att kunna föra en innehållsanalytisk diskussion, dels utifrån ett historiebruksperspektiv. Respondenterna har vid genomförandet av enkätundersökningarna uppgivit flera åsikter och reflektioner, men en tydlig majoritet har angivit att temadagen Brott och straff varit bra, spännande, rolig och lärorik.
Den representativa demokratin och kompetenskraven : En studie av kompetensnivå och kompetenskrav på kommunpolitiker
The local politicians in Sweden are responsible for a great deal of the welfare system why one would assume that there are a lot of demands put on them - demands for certain skills or a certain level of competence. I have in this study tried to find out how the demands on the local representatives concerning the demands for competence and the actual level of competence among the politicians are affecting the local politics. This was done through investigating how the local politicians are perceiving their level of competence and the demands put on them, but also how the employees are perceiving the demands and the level of competence put on the politicians. The study was made in the municipality of Gislaved in Southern Sweden. I was using both quantitative method (an opinion poll among the politicians and employees in the municipality) and qualitative method (interviews with three politicians and three employees and literature studies).In order to investigate the demands for competence I split the concept into ?soft? competence (socially and emotionally based skills), and ?hard? competence (skills based on knowledge, education and experience).

The purpose is to describe and analyze Handelsbanken?s proftit share system Oktogonen and to investigate how it affects the motivation among the employees and management.The method qualitative case-study has been used. Both primary and secondary sources act as a foundation for the thesis. The primary sources are based on eight qualitative interviews. The empirical material is completed with appropriate theories.

The focus of the paper is to study how a store manager can influence their employees to perform better on the job, in terms of service to customers and increased sales. The aim is to analyze the different tools store managers use to motivate their employees with the goal of improving service to the customer and to increase sales.
Kompetensförsörjning : Strategier för att hitta, behålla och utveckla personal
This qualitative study aims to examine what career opportunities the Swedish employment service Arbetsförmedlingen can provide, as well as how the employees perceive their career development opportunities. Furthermore, we have touched on what it is that makes employees feel satisfied with their job and workplace, and also stay in the organization. The study was conducted on one of Arbetsförmedlingen?s offices in northern Sweden and the informants consisted of six employment agents, an executive assistant and a head of division. The result of the study has been analyzed using theories within the field of career development.

Employees of the criminal correctional system have a duty to notify social services if they suspect that children are exposed to maltreatment, according to Chapter 14, § 1 SoL. Despite the obligation to report, studies show that this is not done at all times. The purpose of this paper is to describe and analyze how the criminal correctional system in Kalmar looks at notification if they suspect that children are exposed to maltreatment. To examine this, we used qualitative research method based on semi-structuring interviews; these were carried out with six employees, working in the criminal correctional system. The answers that emerged during the interviews have been analyzed using Yeheskel Hasenfeld theory of human services organizations, and trough previous research.
