The work was carried out on Termisk Systemteknisk?s office in Linköping. The aim was to create a computer system with infrared camera technology for quality control and temperature monitoring of manufacturing processes in industry. The system should be configurable such that it can be used on several different issues, including those where the real-time analysis of camera images is required.The developed system is based on an existing framework, Panola, to deal with measurement results and images in a database. The framework is built for the system continually check for new data , and the task was to create a foundation upon which to build systems that use the framework, but fully or partially utilize direct calls .

This study is about the perception of politics in social work. The aim of the study was to seehow people working with social work in municipalities describe their perception of how politicsaffect their work. The study was conducted in two municipalities in middle Sweden,which had a transfer of power in the 2006 election. Six people; two social workers, two executivedirectors and two politicians was interviewed about their perceptions about politics, ifthe ideological direction of the municipal matters, and how politics effect social work and theorganization. The increasing holdings by institutional investors have raised concerns about the institutions passive investment strategies and the implications for corporate governance. A way for investors to address moral hazard and opportunistic behaviour of management is to demand conservatism in accounting practices. This paper analyses the relation between institutional ownership and accounting conservatism in the Swedish market by studying firms on the Nasdaq OMX Stockholm over a three-year period. Furthermore, the study investigates whether ownership by institutions with high probability of monitoring managers leads to higher conservatism in financial reporting. To measure accounting conservatism this study uses the asymmetric timeliness measure developed by Basu (1997).

Hur samverkar de nationella folkhälsomålen med fysisk planering, och på vilket sätt kan folkhälsomålen beaktas för att förbättra förutsättningarna för ökad fysisk aktivitet hos barn? Denna studie är en fallstudie i Hjo kommun. Studien tar utgångspunkt i kommunens folkhälsoproblematik som visar att det finns en hög förekomst av övervikt hos barn. Intentionen är att undersöka vilka organisatoriska processer som kan underbygga det kommunala arbetet med folkhälsomålen, liksom att ta reda på vilka faktorer i den fysiska miljön som skapar förutsättningar för barns fysiska aktivitet. Avsikten med studien har varit att skapa ett underlag för Hjo kommuns översiktliga planering.

Animals can be ill and need veterinary care for many reasons. The conditions can be more or less emergent, some can even be life-threatening. When an animal is in a life-threatening condition you can save the animals life just by having the right equipment near-by and ready to be used. Det problem som denna uppsats hade för avsikt att besvara var varför hemautomation inte används i fler hem. Genom resultaten från en enkät som distribuerades kunde slutsatsen att kostnaden för de befintliga lösningar som finns på marknaden idag inte låg i den prisklass våra respondenter ansåg rimlig. Författarna utvecklade då problemet och ställde sig frågan om en hemautomationslösning verkligen måste ha en så hög kostnad som de befintliga lösningarna har idag. För att belysa detta problem implementerades en egen kostnadseffektiv lösning där respondenternas mest önskvärda funktioner togs i beaktande och en testmiljö implementerades utefter dessa. Resultatet blev en hemautomationslösning med stor potential och med en betydligt lägre kostnad än dagens befintliga lösningar..

The number of parties in the Swedish parliament has increased from five to eight during the last twenty years. The political agenda is still based on a two-block system with the consequences that the number of parties in each block has increased. To be represented in the parliament, a party needs at least four per cent of the total votes in the election. If only one party fails to achieve that, the whole block will lose the election to the other block. This could encourage voters to vote tactically for the small parties in the block to ensure that the block wins the election.

The definition of an expectation gap is, when the local municipal politician and the audited apprehensions and expectations gets apart about what auditors are going to work with and what they are going to accomplish.Svenska Kommunförbundet writes in their publication Fullmäktige och revisionen (2004) that the communication between the auditors and the audited is important so the final result becomes great. Apart from the communication, the recurring information about auditing is important to increase the knowledge and understanding. Are there expectations on what the auditors are going to review and discover among the audited, when there probably are expectations from the inhabitants on the auditing. This leads us to our purpose of our essay which is to investigate and describe if there exist an expectation gap between the auditors and the social welfare boards in the primary municipality. The method we used to collect our data was a guided telephone interview with 66 persons.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att studera varför och hur företag arbetar med CSR, samt hur detta arbete kan redovisas. Vi har gjort en kvalitativ undersökning med utgångspunkt i fyra företag i olika branscher, Trelleborg AB, Green Cargo, Vattenfall och SAS. Vi har även intervjuat en revisor och en konsult inom CSR-området samt gjort en attitydundersökning med hjälp av enkäter.CSR står för Corporate Social Responsibility och handlar om det ansvar som företag har gentemot samhälle och miljö. Det är ett brett begrepp som innefattar många olika aspekter och uppfattas olika i olika sammanhang.En anledning till att företag arbetar med CSR är att intressenter så som kunder, ägare, media, intresseorganisationer och myndigheter med flera påverkar och ställer krav på företag. Kunder kan välja bort produkter som inte anses vara producerade på ett ansvarsfullt sätt och kan bojkotta företag som inte tar sitt ansvar gentemot omgivningen.

Bakgrund: Numera engagerar sig allt fler företag i sociala och miljömässiga frågor då det förekommer ett krav från intressenter om att företag ska ta sådant ansvar. Fler företag involverar verksamheten i aktiviteter som berör Corporate social responsibility (CSR), för att tillfredsställa externa intressenter och uppnå en fördelaktigare position hos verksamhetens intressentgrupper.Problemdiskussion: Det förekommer en uppfattning om att företag enbart involverar verksamheten i frågor kring CSR i syfte att endast främja den egna verksamheten. Forskare menar att CSR aktiviteter inom ett företag kan ha en god inverkan på varumärket medan en del anser att effekten av dessa inte är uppenbara och tydliga.Frågeställning: Hur inkorporerat är CSR i Coops affärsidé och hur implementeras dessa hållbarhetsstrategier på butiksnivå?Syfte: Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur ett företag i Sverige arbetar med Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Vidare är syftet att undersöka hur företagets strategier inom CSR stärkt varumärket samt hur har resultatet av deras hållbarhetsstrategier gjort detta.Metod: Denna uppsats har utgått ifrån en kvalitativ ansats för att undersöka företaget Coop, där tillvägagångssättet delvis varit intervjuer med konsumenter och butikschefer samt företagets hållbarhetschef.

CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) innebär att ett företag ska ta ansvar för hur de påverkar samhället, ur såväl miljömässigt, etiskt, socialt samt ekonomiskt perspektiv. Sedan 1950-talet har begreppet socialt ansvar uppmärksammats och etablerats inom företagsvärlden. Syftet med vår uppsats är att undersöka om CSR som strategi kan vara ett verktyg för ett hållbart företagande och om CSR kan ge en långsiktig lönsamhet på marknaden. För att kunna skapa en förståelse kring komplexiteten inom CSR samt analysera empirin utgår vi från Carrolls CSR-pyramid som en grundläggande modell för att därefter byggas på med den utvecklade tre-stegsmodellen. Vidare ges en genomgång av Lucas teori om strategisk miljöledning för att slutligen presentera Mintzbergs organisationsteori för att visa hur olika verksamheter kan se ut.

In this essay suggested pathogenesis of secondary hypertrophic osteoarthropathy (HOA) is reviewed. HOA, characterized by; periostitis, periosteal proliferation of tubular bones and arthritis can develop due to many different underlying diseases. The syndrome is most commonly seen with intra-thoracic malignancy or chronic pulmonary infections. HOA has previously mainly been described in humans and various domesticated species. More recently, through wildlife disease monitoring, cases have also been found among wild animals.

The aim of this study was to understand how the professional in social work handles the media scrutiny. When the media writes about social services there is seldom anything positive written about it, many social services organizations are instead heavily criticized and scrutinized by the media. When social services organizations are scrutinized by the media there is a crisis at work, and therefore should be handled as a crisis. Therefore, we describe how a crisis management might look like in an organization. The study is qualitative therefore we have interviewed four municipalities in Sweden that have been exposed by the media at a national level.

Sustainability issues have become increasingly high-profile and important in recent decades. In addition, quality issues have come to play a central role in corporate marketing, strategy and management. The word quality can be defined differently in different contexts. This paper focuses on the concept of quality, based on the Total Quality Management perspective, which in Swedish has come to be known as Offensiv kvalitetsutveckling. Offensiv kvalitetsutveckling has been described as a theoretical framework in which an organization continually strives to meet and preferably exceed customer needs and expectations at the lowest cost through continuous improvement, and in which all members of the organization are committed and focused on the organisation's processes. The purpose of this study was twofold. First, to clarify the applicability of the theoretical model Offensiv kvalitetsutveckling as a theoretical explanatory model. Second, to explore how Max Hamburgerrestauranger AB performs according to the values in Offensiv kvalitetsutveckling. A multiple case study was conducted in order to explore these topics. The results showed that Max Hamburgerrestauranger AB is working in a dedicated and value-driven manner, aligned with the values ??that form the basis for Offensiv kvalitetsutveckling. The results also showed that the model for Offensiv kvalitetsutveckling could serve well as a theoretical explanatory model, but that the model would benefit from being developed, enriched or integrated with other models.
