The aim of this paper is to find an algorithm to establish and maintain a virtual enclosure around a mobile unit. The area may take any form and should be scalable up to and including national borders. The enclosure is managed on the mobile unit. The target system is Android. Smartphones, tablets and more recently, cameras is examples of mobile units.

The aim of this thesis is to explore the institutional design of Participatory Budgeting (PB) in Sweden and how the design may contribute to realize central democratic goods. The study records the different PB experiences in Sweden and focuses on one particular case, which is the only case that successfully qualifies as a genuine PB-process according to international standards and definitions. To examine this, the following questions are asked: which municipalities in Sweden have implemented Participatory Budgeting? How can the institutional design of Participatory Budgeting be described and to what extent does it enable the realization of central democratic goods? To what extent does the institutional design enable the realization of the democratic goods inclusion, popular control, considered judgment and transparency? To what extent does the institutional design enable the realization of the institutional goods of efficiency and transferability?The study is based on an institutional theory of democracy. The method used is a mixed method ideal type analysis that combines document analysis, surveys and interviews.

Consumption of meat and poultry has increased during the last ten years while the production in Sweden has decreased. Cheap imports are competing with Swedish products and consumers, restaurant and retail let the price decided what to purchase. Swedish food producers can become better at communicating the added values that meat and poultry produced in Sweden has. Social media gives companies a possible tool for communication in order to communicate and create a relationship with consumers. The rise of social media does not only affect consumer decisions making, but also corporate communication. The objective of this project is to investigate how social media can connect the farmer to the consumer.

Multipel skleros är en autoimmun neurologisk sjukdom som drabbar nerver i det centrala nervsystemet. Den drabbades sjukdomsförlopp är individuellt och kan leda till stora konsekvenser. Flera följd symptom på grund av sjukdomen kan uppstå och vissa kan behandlas farmakologiskt. I dag ser prognosen ljus ut för de som insjuknar eftersom medicinering, behandling, omvårdnad och rehabilitering utvecklats till det bättre. Syftet med denna uppsats var att ta reda på hur olika följdbesvär vid MS behandlas både farmakologiskt och icke farmakologiskt.

This master?s thesis is a remote sensing study of an area-based method used to detect forest in need of thinning by use of laser data and field samples. Only pine-dominated forest has been included in the study and height limits were set to match empirical restrictions. The study area was in the municipality of Älvsbyn (Latitude 65° 40´ N, Longitude 21° 00´ E), in northern Sweden.The Swedish authority Lantmäteriet is currently laser scanning most parts of Sweden, providing new opportunities and applications. The primary aim of the national laser scanning is to create a new elevation model, useful in consequence analysis of climate changes.

Bakgrund: Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) i nucleus subthalamicus (STN) och i kaudala zona incerta (cZi) har visat positiva effekter på motoriska symtom (rörelseförmåga och balans) vid Parkinsons sjukdom. Efter DBS har dock negativa taleffekter noterats, inklusive nedsatt artikulatorisk precision och stabilitet. Nedsatt artikulatorisk precisionoch stabilitet påverkar klusilproduktionen mest vilket kan resultera i att klusilexplosionen uteblir eller att multipla explosioner uppstår.Mål: Att undersöka artikulatorisk precision och stabilitet vid klusilexplosionen efter DBS i STN respektive cZi.Metod: I studien deltog 19 patienter varav 9 deltagare stimulerats i STN och 10 deltagare i cZi. Talinspelningar gjordes innan operation och ett år efter operation med DBSstimulering på och av. Klusilerna i talmaterialet delades in i tre kategorier, de med en klusilexplosion, de med två eller flera klusilexplosioner samt de utan klusilexplosion.

Detaljerad information om vindförhållandena på en site är en nödvändighet för att göra beräkningar av lönsamhet i ett vindkraftsprojekt. Mätningarna behöver vara kontinuerliga och så korrekta som möjligt. Därtill bör de göras under minst ett års tid eftersom vindförhållandena på en plats är säsongsberoende. Under vintertid och framför allt på högre latituder eller altituder, kan mätutrustning påverkas av nedisning. En nedisad anemometer kan ge databortfall eller felaktiga mätningar.Identifiering av felaktiga data är en viktig del av analyseringsarbetet eftersom risken annars är att vindförhållandena på platsen underskattas.

Datainsamlingen sker med hjälp av en enkätundersökning. Urvalet består av 3 300 revisorer i Sverige, auktoriserade och godkända. Analysen av insamlad data sker med hjälp av datorprogrammet SPSS och statistiska metoder som Principalkomponentanalys (PCA), korrelationsanalys och multipel linjär regression.Resultat och slutsats: Distributivt förhandlingsbeteende har ett delvis negativt samband med self-efficacy. Resultaten är dock inte entydiga och ger inte tillräckligt stöd för att motivera ett accepterande av hypotesen.

Purpose ? The purpose with this thesis is to examine how items can be distributed between stores inventory and an external warehouse. Freeze-drying as an alternative drying methodhas often been used for wet archaeological and marine objects, but more seldom for historicalmaterials.This bachelor thesis addresses the issue of whether freeze-drying can be an alternative controlleddrying method for historic costumes. Costumes and related objects are often compositeobjects, consisting of multiple materials, as well as being three dimensional, all of whichwill complicate drying. The purpose of this study was to investigate whether it is possible tohandle costume objects after wet cleaning for drying by freeze-drying, and if damages due tosurface tension of water, can be avoided in this way.

Tidigare forskning har bland annat visat att det finns ett samband mellan barns psykosomatiska besvär och hur relationen till föräldrarna ser ut. Eftersom relationerna mellan barn och föräldrar har stor betydelse för barns välbefinnande är det intressant att undersöka vad som ligger bakom goda relationer mellan barn och föräldrar. Syftet med denna uppsats är alltså att undersöka vilka faktorer som hänger samman med goda relationer mellan barn och föräldrar.Uppsatsen bygger på material från Statistiska centralbyråns (SCB) Undersökningarna av levnadsförhållanden (ULF) och Undersökningarna av barns levnadsförhållanden (Barn-ULF). The Swedish food retail market contains of three major actors, ICA, KF and Axfood, all in all dominating 75 percent of the total market shares. The scant number of retailing actors indicates that the Swedish food retail market is a highly concentrated oligopoly, which as a fact has given rise to definite discussions and argumentations concerning the market situation. But is the food retail market imperfect and how do we reach a workable competition? Economic theory does not provide any clear answer on these questions, but is rather divided into two fundamentally different approaches to define competition: the static and the dynamic perspective on competition. In an attempt to examine the competition on local Swedish retail markets, the purpose of this study is to carry out an econometric model estimating the situation.

As the urbanization continues a large amount of the world?s population is expected to live in urban settlements of informal character by 2050. Därmed kan valet hamna på att låta en förvaltare från en av storbankerna som Handelsbanken och Swedbank att sköta fonderna. Frågan som författarna ställer sig är från vilka av de utvalda förvaltarna Handelsbanken, Swedbank och andra fondbolag som fonderna är mest lönsamma att investera i?Syfte: Huvudsyftet med denna undersökning är att se vilka av fonderna ur de valda fondgrupperna som presterat främst under en femårsperiod och de som är bäst att investera i.

Generally, the economic health of Swedish roundwood truck transport companies has not been good. Profitability is important for maintaining the stability in the transport business, which is a condition for long-term transport planning in the forestry sector. The scope of this study was to identify probable factors influencing the profitability of roundwood truck transport companies and quantify the influence of these factors on economic results. The study was carried out at a major roundwood truck transport organisation in mid-Sweden and was implemented in four steps. In the first step economic results from the haulage contractors were collected and a random sample was taken from accounted net margin for the account year 2005/2006. In the second step hauliers were interviewed to identify probable success factors. At the third step data for identified factors were gathered through a questionnaire.
