The essay explores nationalism in the curriculum of the swedish school from 1878 to 1994. The text has been undertaken an analysis in three levels of discourse based on Norman Faircloughs critical language analysis. The first level is the text, the second is types of discourses and the third is order of discourse.The nationalism in the curriculum has been related to three nationalistic types of discourses, derived from earlier studies on Swedish nationalism. I den här multimodala analysen som utgår från kritisk diskursanalys, undersöks fyra broschyrer från 1177.se ur ett genusperspektiv. Huvudsyftet med analysen är att undersöka hur kön framställs i informationsbroschyrer riktade till barn. För att även belysa andra komponenter för identitetsskapande utöver kön, anläggs ett intersektionellt perspektiv och då kön är kopplat till sexualitet undersöks därmed även heteronormativitet. Det görs genom att ta reda på hur kön markeras, hur karaktärerna i broschyren gestaltas och hur familjekonstellationer ser ut. Resultaten ger dels sken av ett jämlikt förhållande mellan könen då bägge könen i stora drag synliggörs lika mycket, men dels visar resultatet hur subtilt reproducerande av kön sker då broschyrerna speglar stereotypa föreställningar om vad som är manligt och kvinnligt.

Mitt arbete beskriver hur man kan arbeta ämnesövergripande med bild och text i kombination. Jag vill i mitt arbete genom exempel visa vikten av att bild och text vävs samman i undervisningen. Mitt val av arbete grundar sig på att mina elever saknade förståelse av bildspråket. Orden och texterna kom därför in som ett naturligt moment i undervisningen. Syftet med arbetet är att undersöka hur text och bild i kombination kan ge en djupare förståelse för bildspråket.

This report discusses developing a software log tool for analysis of industrial processes. Purpose;the purpose of this study is to investigate whether a product ad observer's purchase intention, perception of product quality, brand image perception and price perception is affected depending on the size of the text that was used in the ad to communicate the product price.Methodology;the study was conducted using a quantitative method through a survey. The implementation of the study has been done by using three variants of the same suit ad where the three different variants have been manipulated on the text size on the price information, by reduced / increased the text size. Multimodal memory theory är en teori om det episodiska minnet vilket bland annat behandlar förkunskapernas och modaliteternas betydelse för minneskapaciteten. Då människan genomför något används den motoriska modaliteten och då hon får höra något berättas används den verbala modaliteten. Det som har undersökts är om minnet och förståelsen för komplexa och tekniska lösningar påverkas av vilket modalitet som används vid inkodningen.

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to investigate how gender stereotypes appear in Swedish picture books. The investigation consists of literature studies and the method used is a text ?and picture analysis. By using this method, it allows us to interpret both text and pictures in the books. It is carried through by consultation of Yvonne Hirdmans theory of how men and women are two different things and that man in this relation constitutes the norm.

This study examines how the text can be presented to make content understandable and give employees the knowledge to take action. An interview survey was made at Skanska Sweden and their management system "Vårt sätt att arbeta". The results show that it is mainly about creating an overview of the system and creating separations between different text sections.

Studiens syfte är att undersöka representation och kommunikation runt och i tre utvärderingar. De övergripande syftet är att undersöka olika visuella tekniker för representation av empiri i dramarelaterad forskning. Utvärderingarna är gjorda på en estetisk linje med inriktning teater på en gymnasieskola i Halmstad. De som har utvärderat är samtliga elever i utbildningens tre årskurser.Undersökningen har en hermeneutisk ansats med inspiration från performance-, kritisk- och visuell etnografi. De etnografiska teorierna och tillvägagångssätten har använts för en rad överväganden gällande representation och hur olika former av estetisk gestaltning kan användas i forskningssammanhang.

The aim of this paper has been to examine to what extent it has been possible for Patricia Crampton, translator of Ronia, the Robber?s Daughter, to capture and cling to the very personal style in which Astrid Lindgren writes. I also wanted to find out if any adaptations of the text were made and, if any, how they have affected the tone of the book. To fulfil this purpose a thorough comparison of the original text and the translation has been made. The first chapter consists of an introduction presenting the background to my choice of topic and giving a short presentation of Astrid Lindgren and her career as an author.

Purpose/Aim: The purpose of this essay is to see how the media, through the newspaper, "Vi föräldrar?, produces family and parental roles, and to investigate how the image changed over time.Material/Method: The material consists of a number of selected texts from the years 1968, 1988 and 2008. The method used is a discourse analysis based on the three level model by Norman Fairclough. The three levels are the text, the discourse practise and the sociocultural practise. In this study two of the levels, text and sociocultural practise, are used in analysing the texts.Main results: Family and parenting in the texts from 1968 can be linked to the structural functionalist theory in which the core family is central and women and men are assigned to specific roles.
