In Sweden the breeding organization for the Swedish Warmblood horse uses a traditional scoring system when evaluating horses. The horse is scored subjectively in relation to how good each trait is in relation to the breeding objective. Other countries, for example the Netherlands, instead use a linear scoring system. The linear scoring system evaluates the horse on a scale between two, for the breed, biological extremes which makes the evaluation more objective since the judges personal values does not influence as much. The breeding organization for the Swedish Warmblood is today planning a change towards a linear scoring system.

The purpose of the project was to make a system that could extract data from a mobile eye tracker and make it comparable with data from visual stimuli. The produced system was programmed in Java and provided all the necessary parts that were required to achieve the purpose. This provides a foundation for further research to determine whether the eye tracker is sufficiently accurate to diagnose Parkinson?s disease..

The objective of this Bachelor?s thesis is to investigate how the public library in Luleå has set about implementing an alternative classification system for its children's books section and to explore why this was done. We wanted to investigate both how they have adapted the new system to the children's own way of seeking information and the library personnel's experience of using the new shelving system. We have done seven interviews to answer these questions and our choice of literature is intended to put the process of change into a wider context. The answers show that the library was dissatisfied with the former system and have instead expressed a desire to shift the focus of their classification system to their users.

Min slutsats vilken jag lägger fram i avsnitt 5 är att kollektiv mycket väl kan vara autonoma agenter. Jag kommer även kortfattat att utveckla ett resonemang kring skillnader i kollektivs och människors moral. Skillnaden kan anses vara en förutsättning för att kollektivet ska kunna uppnå fullständig autonomi eftersom antropocentrisk moral i ett kollektiv kräver mänsklig påverkan..

The aim of this paper is to examine how The Swedish Library Classification System, also known as the ?SAB-system?, has classified popular music. The investigation is limited to the classification category of ?Yx Jazz, Rock and Popular Music? within the SAB-system. The development of this category is studied.

The aim of the present study is to describe and analyse how an inter-cultural perspective presents itself in the didactic considerations and in the practice of preschool teachers on a multiethnic preschool.The theoretical perspective upon which the study is founded is social constructivism, but in addition to this Ingegerd Municio?s idea of two existing discourses present within the institutions in the Swedish educational system, as well as René León?s concept of a diversified normality, has been used as theoretical tools and points of departure.The empirical investigation consists of a qualitative field study at a multi-ethnic preschool, where participating observation and group interviews have been used to collect data. In these teachers from the preschool have participated.The results and the analysis of the data show that an inter-cultural perspective surfaces in the didactic considerations and in the practice of the preschool teachers in their construction of a diversified normality. The diversified normality thus constructed is constituted through different social processes. I have here identified the following ones: the preschool teachers emphasize differences among the children in general, they allow that the children behave differently and they allow them to be different; they recognize ?cultural? differences, differences in origin, and frames of reference, and they recognize that the children at the preschool are bilingual..

Denna explorativa studie beskriver hur den interna kontrollen i organisationer kan påverkas under implementeringen av ett ERP system. Intern kontroll är en del av organisationens ekonomistyrning och består av organisationens rutiner och aktiviteter för att undvika risker och säkerställa att organisationens mål uppfylls. Eftersom implementeringen av ett ERP system är en riskfylld process är det viktigt att förstå hur den interna kontrollen påverkas. För att undersöka detta används i studien ramverket Internal Control - Integrated framework. Datainsamlig genomfördes på en stor IT-organisation där ERP systemet Navision 2009 implementeras och 10 respondenter från olika avdelningar intervjuades.

Det pågår en transformering av svenska stridskrafter till följd av en förändradomvärldsbild och en teknisk utveckling. Obemannade farkoster studeras och bedömskunna tillföra värdefulla förmågor.Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka nyttan med små UAV-system för bataljonsnivånvid en internationell militär operation. De fyra utvalda basfunktionerna ledning,underrättelser, verkan och skydd utgör analysfaktorer.Uppsatsens resultat omfattar en kontextuell del och en teknisk del. Den omfattar även envärdering av små UAV-system i ett typfall, strid i bebyggelse. Uppsatsen visar att detfinns ett flertal uppgifter inom basfunktionerna, som små UAV-system kan lösa medvarierad förmåga.

För en producent som ska utöka sin affärsverksamhet i nya länder finns många alternativa distributionsformer att välja mellan, exempelvis egna anställda, agentur eller återförsäljare. Valet beror till stor del på hur integrerad producenten vill att distributionen ska vara med den egna affärsverksamheten samt vilken grad av kontroll producenten vill ha över distributionen. Genom att använda en agent som distributör ökar producentens möjligheter att kontrollera distributionen eftersom denne i agentavtalet bland annat kan bestämma till vilka priser och inom vilket geografiskt område agenten får sälja producentens varor till tredje man. Det beror på att agentavtal, till skillnad från återförsäljaravtal, enligt praxis från EU-domstolen inte omfattas av förbudet mot konkurrensbegränsande avtal i artikel 101.1 FUEF. Av den anledningen kan det vara mycket förmånligt att utse en agent som distributör istället för en återförsäljare.För en producent är det i dessa fall mycket viktigt att veta hur avtal med en vald distributör ska utformas för att principerna som gäller för agentavtal ska vara tillämpliga.

Gamification är en strategi som använder spelmekanismer och spelkomponenter för att skapa motivation och engagemang hos användare av olika typer av system. Denna studie syftar till att undersöka om gamification kan användas för att motivera användare av system för tillverkningsindustrin.Studien har genomförts med en initial litteraturstudie och kvalitativa intervjuer med experter inom gamification samt utveckling av system för tillverkningsindustrin. Intervjufrågor har därefter ställts mot tidigare genomförd forskning, för att identifiera möjliga resultat.Resultatet av denna studie visar att spelmekanismer och spelkomponenter skulle kunna användas i ett system för tillverkningsindustrin, förutsatt att det finns ett tydligt affärsmål, mätbar och användbar data samt identifierade drivkrafter hos organisationens maskinoperatörer. Vidare har ett antal punkter identifierats som kan vara motiverande för en användare av system för tillverkningsindustrin:Möjlighet för operatörerna att följa utvecklingen i sitt expertområdeKartläggning av operatörernas drivkrafter, vilken därefter används för att förbättra operatörernas arbetssituation, med exempelvis mer givande uppgifterBelöningar som utdelas är matchade mot operatörernas preferenser, med syfte att vara mer effektiva som motivationsskapare.

This report describes a master thesis performed at Saab in Arboga. The main purpose was to build a controller for a system containing a turn table and an antenna beam. The idea is to use this system on a boat where it will be exposed to position disturbances due to waves. The desired behaviour is that antennas placed on the antenna beam should point towards the same target all the time. To solve this problem the system has been modeled and simulated in Matlab and Simulink.

Extreme programming (XP) är en av flera lättrörliga utvecklingsmetoder. Detta innebär att arbetssättet är strukturerat på ett sätt som gör att systemets innehåll enkelt kan omformas efter uppkomna önskemål under projektets gång. Dessa metoder är alltså anpassade för att hantera förändrade kravbilder under pågående projekt. Principen är att framtiden är föränderlig, varför det behövs utveckling som stöder föränderlighet.Kunden ges en betydelsefull roll i lättrörliga utvecklingsprojekt.XP består av ett antal praxis (practices) som tillsammans syftar uttryckligen till att utveckla enastående (outstanding) programvara. Vi har dock funnit att XP inte kan sägas utgöra en metod i bemärkelsen som Goldkuhl (1992) definierar en metod.Vår huvudsakliga fråga som besvaras i uppsatsen är hur XP kan användas.

A system for sampling of alcohol and aldehyde from diluted exhaust gases from vehicles powered by ethanol has been developed and tested. The major part of the work has been research of earlier work in the field and the construction of the sampling system.The part of the system constructed for the measurement of alcohol has been shown to work, however, more test should be performed. The part of the system constructed for the measurement of aldehyde was tested parallel to a commercially available system, based on the same principle of measurement, and has been shown to work well.Determination of the concentration of gaseous ethanol using a FID has shown the since earlier known fact that a FID is not able to measure a correct concentration of ethanol. Furthermore it has been shown that high concentrations of gaseous ethanol can not be kept in a bag more than a few minutes without a substantial decrease of the measured concentration..

A cars powertrain consists of everything that is needed for its propulsion. The components in the driveline that transfer the power from the engine to the driven wheels are not absolutely stiff, hence they will wind up due to the torque and act as torsion springs. If you suddenly demand a bigger torque by stepping on the accelerator pedal, a so called tip in manoeuvre, and that torque is acquired from the engine as quickly as possible, the driveline will not be able to transfer that fast torque change due to its weakness and as a result it will start to oscillate. These oscillations will be transferred to the driven wheels and make the car to accelerate jerkily which will be experienced as uncomfortable by the passengers. Furthermore, there is a backlash in the driveline that will make the weakness in the driveline even more excited than it should have been if the backlash did not existed.To avoid too big problems with these oscillations there is a control system that controls the demanded torque.
