Flowcytometric technology has been widely used for measurement of the absolute numbers of T-lymphocytes subsets in Human Immunodeficiency virus (HIV), defining the disease state, monitoring antiviral treatment, and identifying any risk for opportunistic infections. A manual preparing of the samples is required. More recently an automated and enclosed blood cell counting, Celldyn Sapphire has been introduced. In this study the performance of the Flow cytometer EPICS XL as a reference method for analysis of CD3+, CD4+ and CD8 T-lymphocytes was evaluated with blood from 40 individual?s samples.

Shopping malls surface and its atmosphere becomes essential in the design of a mall so it will be attractive enough. Sensory marketing can be an appropriate method to stand out from the crowd and attract visitors. Sensory marketing is a process of engaging visitor?s senses to create a strong relationship between the brand and visitors.

Jag har valt att studera uppkomsten av The African Charter On Human and Peoples Rights. Mitt huvudsyfte är att se vilken roll Afrikas historia har spelat för utformandet av den afrikanska stadgan för mänskliga rättigheter och vid sidan av detta även ta reda på om stadgan är effektiv. Jag har också valt att göra en jämförelse med Europakonventionen för att se vad som skiljer de två regionala systemen för mänskliga rättigheter åt. Jag har sökt information, granskat och tolkat det jag läst med hjälp av rättsvetenskaplig metod och en kvalitativ textanalys utefter en teori om universalism och en världssystemanalys. Något som krävt mycket och noggrann läsning. Mitt resultat pekar på en relativt ineffektiv stadga med starka regionala värderingar och stort fokus på kontinentens historia av kolonialism och de koloniala arven detta gett.

Begreppet Human Resource Management, d.v.s. ledning av de mänskliga resurserna, har de senaste åren vuxit sig större. Detta beror bl.a. på att medvetenheten kring organisationer och hur man får anställda att öka produktiviteten har blivit större. Idag vet vi att de psykosociala faktorerna på en arbetsplats är av stor vikt för att få en ökad produktivitet och effektivitet.

The aim of this study is to create an increased understanding of shared leadership and how it takes shape in the relationship between first-line managers in human service organizations. Shared leadership is seen as a complement to the traditional one-man leadership and briefly means that two managers share the role that usually is held by a single leader. The study has a qualitative approach based on semi-structured interviews with managers in human service organizations. The interviews mention the mangers thoughts and experiences about shared leadership and gain approval in the hermeneutic science field. The study is analyzed based on symbolic interactionism where perspectives from the theoreticians Mead and Goffman are used.

The aim of this essay is to examine three separate Swedish public libraries and their respective websites on the grounds of the usability sciences. I firstly had to summarize the main properties of the usability-field in order to gain an extended knowledge of its purposes and possible usage for today?s library systems. I was then able to apply the extended knowledge in the examination of the three library websites and the purpose of determining whether or not they were designed according to the standards set by the usability-sciences.Usability is a rather new science that deals with the dissection and examination of computer-based systems, in order to find the key components that make systems user-friendlier. With user needs being the main focus of its research, usability tries to meet all the different needs of the modern user and construct systems that are less system-centered and more user-centered.

Uppsatsen ämnar att undersöka hur två kvarnfundament från en övergiven kvarndamm i Björklingeån i Uppland förändrar vattenflödet. Syftet med detta är för att se hur tidigare mänskligaktivitet idag kan påverka vattenflödet och ge fysikaliska förändringar. Uppsatsen är alltså åt det naturgeografiska hållet inom geografiämnet.För att besvara syftet så valdes en 12 meter lång sektion av ån ut till undersökningsplats, de 12 metrarna var fördelade på 4,5 meter uppströms om fundamenten och 4,5 meter nedströms om fundamenten. Inom dessa 12 meter så gjordes det tvärprofiler med 3 meters intervaller, vilket blev fem stycken varav två på var sida om fundamenten och en mitt i. För alla dessa tvärprofiler framställdes det en batymetriskprofil som visar på djup, denna framställdes med hjälp av lodning.

Syftet med detta arbete är att undersöka hur förändring av material påverkar varseblivningen av objekt när formen lämnas oförändrad. Detta kan vara av intresse då spel med realistisk grafisk stil blir mer och mer högupplöst vilket samtidigt ställer högre krav på de grafiska utvecklarna att framställa verklighetstrogna material.Jag har utfört en kvalitativ undersökning med personintervjuer av sex personer. Dessa sex personer har fått se tre objekt där de fått definiera objektets syfte. Intervjupersonerna fick sedan se objekten med olika material där mina frågor haft som mål att få respondenten att motivera uppfattat material samt det uppfattade materialets egenskaper. De intervjuades motiveringar om objekt och material har jag sedan tolkat utifrån litteratur om psykologi, främst om kategorisering som George Lakoffs bok "Women, Fire, and Dangerous Things" (1990) beskriver.Min undersökning har visat att uppfattningen av textur kan förändra ett objekts syfte och funktion.

Theoretical framework: The Theory of Human Caring by Jean Watson was used as a theoretical framework.Aim: The aim of this literature review was to describe the attitude of nursing patients who go through an induced abortion, from a nurse perspective.Method: This literature review is based on a sample of nine qualitative and quantitative studies, collected in the databases Cinahl, PubMed and PsycInfo. The qualities of the studies were assessed through modified templates. Analysis of the results from the studies was inspired of a content analysis.Findings: The nurses experienced their work as meaningful since they give support to the patient. The nurses felt that their work was justified when the decision to have an abortion was well thought through and they felt respect towards the patient when they were aware of the patient?s circumstances.

Syftet med detta arbete är att utforska hur Svenska Turistföreningen, i sina årsböcker mellan 1915-1919, förhåller sig i sina utsagor om människorna och landskapen till det regionala och det nationella. De frågeställningar som använts har varit: Vilka rumsligt anknutna utsagor finns om befolkningen i de olika landskapen och om landskapen som sådana? I vilken ut-sträckning bär dessa utsagor en regional eller nationell prägel? Sätts det regionala i kontrast till det nationella, eller ses det regionala som en del av det nationella? Hur talrika är dessa utsagor? Finns det en tendens att vissa landskapsskildringar innehåller fler eller färre av dessa utsagor? Finns det en förändring i dessa utsagor under den tid som undersökts? Källmaterialet har utgjorts av Svenska Turistföreningens årsskrifter mellan 1915-1919. Dessa behandlar Uppland, Småland, Bohuslän, Västmanland samt Skåne i den ordningen. För att uppnå syftet har en kvalitativ textanalys använts.

People are constantly using there friends in order to ask for a favor or to get hold of some information. This is usually done unconsciously and it is just viewed as everyday life behavior. The function and the use of these links definitely have a value, which means that it can be viewed as a form of capital. But this capital is not caught in the traditional theories of physical capital or human capital; it demands it?s on theorization.

The purpose with this qualitative interview study was to try to describe, through a phenomenological viewpoint, the meaning that Counter-Strike players put on there contemporary world. We started to explore this Game World with field research studies on the world?s biggest Game exhibition Dreamhack in the city of Jönköping. This helped us to develop our main question for this study.The thirteen participants of the interview were selectively chosen from a Game Café in the city of Karlstad. They were interviewed with five questions that dealt with their experiences of playing Counter-Strike and their experience of time perception in their world.

The aim of this thesis is to analyze how small and medium-sized management consulting firms in Sweden work with human resource management during digital transformation. By interviewing companies, this study explores their approach to attracting, recruiting, and developing competence. The results showed that management consulting firms have good access to candidates, made possible by having a strong corporate culture and attractive working conditions - Crucial parts for attracting talent. Social media and networking are frequently used for marketing and attracting interesting candidates. Digital tools and social media showed to be useful during the recruitment process, but personal contacts and networking still play a central role.

Poorly maintained forges are a common sight in the province of Gästrikland. Because of their changed appearance, possible move from the origin location and poor items related knowledge they will rarely qualify for the range of funds available through Länsstyrelsen. Therefore this study deals with the problems associated with the forges in southern Gästrikland, i.e. Hedesunda and Österfärnebo parishes.The aim of the study is to increase the items related knowledge of forges and perhaps form the basis for restoration projects in the area. Eleven forges have been examined and the changes they have undergone have been highlighted.A forge was erected on the farm and was used for the households needs such as producing and repairing tools.

The aim of this study is to compare the modernist novels Astarte (1931) by the Swedish writer Karin Boye with Estación, Ida y vuelta (1930) by the Spanish author Rosa Chacel and the reception of these literary works in contemporary academic research. The theoretical ground of the study consists of feminist and critical theory, with traits of discourse analysis.Astarte and Estación were in large part forgotten and ignored by the Western Canon of literature during most of the 20th century, but have lately gained more attention as important modernist novels by researchers (from the feminist, poststructuralist or hermeneutic theoretical fields) who primarily examine the experimental forms figured by the texts in relation to the deconstruction and shattering of human homogenous ?essence?.The results found in the study show that the literary forms of both novels can be associated with a kind of illusion rapture, which relate to the modernist inclination to what Frederic Jameson calls artificial narrative; a form technique that points back at itself to emphasize its own characteristic of being a constructed and subjective illustration of reality. The contemporary interest in these artificial literary forms expressed by Astarte and Estación is therefore probably a consequence of the vibrant academic debates carried out during later decades concerning the conception of human gender and identity as construction and performance. .
