Neurography is the most objective and reliable measure of the peripheral nerve function, and it is used to diagnose both local and generalized neuropathies. Neurography can measure both Motor and sensory nerve functions. The principle for sensory neurgraphy is to stimulate over the nerve and record proximal or distal from the stimulated electrode.At the Department of Clinical Neurophysiology, University Hospital Uppsala, a problem has been identified, in that young adult patients tend to show unexpected abnormal neurography values in relation to the expected, indicated by the reference limits, without clinical correlates. This concerns foremost the sensory amplitudes in median and ulnar nerves. The hypothesis is that the requirement of young adults? amplitudes is too high.

This thesis was carried out at Atlas Copco Tools and Assembly Systems. The purpose hasbeen to develop a design tool to be used for development of new electric Motors for AtlasCopcos electric nutrunners. The focus of the thesis has been to increase productivity bydecreasing the power losses in an electric tool. The productivity is defined as themaximum number of tightenings a nutrunner can perform without becoming too hot.Before starting the development of this design tool an existing Matlab script, whichcalculates the losses in a slotless electric Motor, has been studied and modified torepresent the real losses in a better way. The modification has been made by performingpractical studies of different losses and then adjusting existing parameters in the Matlabscript.Because design changes in one part of a mechatronic system can lead to a decrease inperformance of another part the choice of parameters that can be changed has been madeso that other parts of the system is affected as little as possible.A study of the existing tools efficiency during an entire tightening has been made toincrease the understanding of when and where the different losses appear and to comparethe modified Matlab script with the measured values.The design tool was formed so that it executes the Matlab script, that calculates thelosses, for a number of different design options and stores the alternative which producesthe least losses.

Leisure boats of today have a lot of electronics that needs battery power to work. In additionto that electric propulsion systems have gotten more popular lately, which further increasesthe demand for high battery capacity. The batteries used are mostly lead-acid batteries and toget the most out of the batteries it is important to treat them right. To optimize the electricsystem it is important to have knowledge of how the batteries and the electric Motor are usedand which factors affect e.g. efficiency and recharging.A new electric drive that can replace old diesel engines is being developed and needs testingand evaluation.

This thesis is a product development project that was performed at Alfa Laval Tumba AB. In the past Alfa Laval have manufactured gas separators for engines where gas flows were cleaned from oil. A new business area for this kind of technology has shown to be the manufacturing industry where oil mist has to be separated from the vented air. Therefore a new and bigger design is needed to be able to handle the greater gas flows. A product like that would be a strong competitor on the market when the maintenance would be low in comparison to today?s equipment.During the project several concept suggestions were developed using customer interviews and research as input.

Syftet med examensarbetet är att göra en trådlös version av det elektriska lås som tillverkas av Electec System AB.För att göra ett trådlöst elektriskt lås måste ett batteri monteras i låset. Batteriet måste hållas uppladdat hela tiden för att kunna driva Motorn och ge strömförsörjning till elektroniken i låset. Alla signaler mellan låset och styrenheten ska dessutom överföras trådlöst istället för med kabel. Signalerna måste kodas innan sändning så att ingen obehörig kan läsa signalen och sedan öppna dörren.Det svåraste i ett trådlöst elektriskt lås är att överföra effekt från dörrkarmen till låset eftersom utrymmet är begränsat och avståndet mellan låsblecket i karmen och låset i dörren kan uppgå till 10 mm. För att överföra effekt från dörrkarmen till låset konstruerades en transformator.

Schur AB är ett företag i Eksjö som erbjuder sina kunder lösningar inom post- och tidningshantering. Bland dessa lösningar ingår ett transportsystem kallat Gripper TGG 3200 vilket transporterar tidningar från exempelvis pressen till olika enheter i packsalen. Transportsystemet drivs av ett antal asynkronMotorer, antalet Motorer variera med avseende på hur lång transportsträckan är. Då drivstationer och Motorer är de dyraste komponenterna i transportsystemet vill man minimera antalet av dessaSystemet är uppbyggt av aluminiumprofiler som gör att det kan skräddarsys efter kundens behov. I profilerna rullar enheterna som transporterar tidningen i en sammanlänkad kedja.

Det här examensarbetet går ut på att utreda vilken påverkan oljeval och inkörningsmetod har på tätning mellan kolvring och cylindervägg i en fyrtaktsMotor. Arbetet har utförts på en Motorcykel av märket Honda och modellen heter CBR 954 RR årsmodell 2003. Det diskuteras dagligen i tidningar, på internet och i garage runt om i världen om vilken typ av inkörning som är effektivast för att få en Motor att gå bra och hålla länge. Vissa bil- och mctillverkare har helt tagit bort sina inkörningsrekommendationer medan andra fortfarande har kvar rekommendationen att man ska köra lugnt och på låga varvtal under ett visst antal mil. Eftersom att inkörningen påverkar väldigt många parametrar så finns inte möjlighet att testa hur olika oljeval och inkörningsmetoder påverkar alla dessa parametrar.

This report is a description of a developed educational simulator over rail vehicles and its components. The simulator is a hardware-based prototype over a door system on rail vehi- cles. System specialists and technicians will use the prototype. The Simulator should give the user a technical demonstration on how components work in a door system. The proto- type consists of Motor, switch, relay and sensor.

I detta examensarbete studeras en ny konstruktion av en reversibel axialfläkt. Genom experimentella tester utvärderas olika utföranden av fläkthjul. De faktorer som varierar är utformning på nav och skovelbas samt skovelvinkel. Alla tester genomförs i AB Akron-maskiners testrigg som är upprättad efter ISO 5801.Navets utformning visar sig inte ha märkbar påverkan på prestandan. Förändringar i prestandan upptäcks när olika kombinationer av nav och skovelbas testas.

Abstract 1.The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects whole body vibrations on maximal strength, power output and neuromuscular activity in m. pectoralis major during bench press.Participants consisted of 35 male and 9 female military high school students (m=23, 1 years). On the basis of initial maximal performances in bench press the participants was divided into two experiments groups and one control group. Intervention groups performed a specifically designed push up program on a vibrating plate respectively a step board during 12 weeks Initial load at 60 % of 1 RM showed an average of 46, 5 kg. All groups showed an average increase of 13 kg for each person after 12 weeks.

Inom vårdområdet hanteras en stor mängd känslig information och den bör finnas tillgänglig utan organisatoriska hinder. Många vårdanställda får snabbare och enklare tillgång till information genom informationsteknik (IT), men IT ställer även nya krav på medvetandet om informationssäkerhet.Den i detta arbete studerade litteraturen menar att användarna är den största orsaken till att brister uppkommer i informationssäkerheten. Det kan bland annat förebyggas genom upprättande av informationssäkerhetspolicy samt genom att ge information till och utbilda användaren vid införande av informationssystem.Syftet med arbetet var att fastställa hur användare av datorjournaler påverkas av kraven på informationssäkerhet och hur användarna påverkar informationssäkerheten. Vidare var syftet att ta reda på om de rekommendationer som Datainspektionen gett ut efterföljs av användarna. Observationer och intervjuer med vårdpersonal har legat till grund för att uppnå arbetets resultat.

Stadions utformning möjliggör inslag av traditionella material som naturgräs och betong. Allmänna fotbollsstadion är utformad efter platsens förutsättningar och förstärker närområdet genom sin mångsidighet och breda funktion.

The aim of this essay was to investigate how teachers in the preschool class work with literacy. How do they justify the methods used to develop children's literacy abilities? I also wanted to know to what extent teachers enable multimodal approaches within written language practices. My study considers the impact teachers' professional identity has on working methods in the preschool class. I hope this essay will help teachers reflect on their learning approach. I gathered information by interviewing three preschool teachers and one compulsory school teacher for the early years working in three different preschool classes in three different schools.

This thesis is a feasibility study for a future product development project. The purpose ofthis project is to evaluate the possibilities and difficulties associated with the design of anelectric power assist servo for all terrain vehicles (ATVs). The project has been carriedout in collaboration with Nira Control AB. Nira designs and manufactures electric andelectro mechanic products mainly for the Motor sport market segment.Nira Control AB is developing a fuel injection system for a new line of large ATVs oncommission. To be able to compete with manufacturers like Yamaha and Honda thecommissioner should be able to offer optional power assist steering.
