På ABB i Umeå programmeras styrsystem till bland annat tillverkningsindustrin och gruvbranschen. Varje styrsystem är unikt men vissa delar förekommer ofta, så för att inte programmerarna ska behöva skriva samma kod varje gång har det skapats funktionsblock av de kodbitarna. Funktionsblocken är samlade i olika funktionsblocksbibliotek. Biblioteken uppdateras med jämna mellanrum och alla funktionsblock behöver då testas så att inte ändringarna har påverkat de gamla funktionerna. Denna testning, som nu görs manuellt, tar mycket tid och är långt i från pålitlig.

Relationships between defence mechanisms and body movements were investigated in regard to three hypothesis; I. that a difference in frequency of body movements correlates to different signs of defence mechanisms, II. that themes of body movements can be identified in regard to signs of defence mechanisms, III. that no significant differences will be found between the different groups of gender. The aim of the study was to seek a relation between quasicommunicative body movements and defence mechanisms.

Uppsatsen är en fallstudie. Den består av samtal med tre representanter från olika stora arkitektföretag med anställda landskapsarkitekter. Det här arbetet har präglats av funderingar om hur man gör för att strukturera kreativt arbete. Frågan som detta arbete sökte besvara var, hur gör yrkesverksamma landskapsarkitekter för att finna ordning och metodik i sitt kreativa arbete?.

Styrelserepresentanter i blåsväder och skandalartade affärer är medialt frekvent förekommande begrepp. Bolagsstyrningsfrågor blir därför allt mer uppmärksammade och styrelser bevakas av medias ombud. Bolagsstyrelser har som företagets bärande pelare en framträdande roll, vilket orsakar viss problematik vid valet av medlemmar. Många gånger väljs externa representanter in, vilka ska bidra till att bolaget styrs optimalt. Inte sällan består dessa av företrädare för konkurrerande bolag, innebärande att nyttomaximering försvåras och en maktkamp blir följden.

A LED spectrometer has been constructed for qualitative spectrometry using certain wavelenghts. The LEDs and the photodiode are being controlled with a microcontroller that is connected to a computer to power the components and save data. The spectroanalysis made with the LED spectrometer were significantly different to a standard spectrometer, concluding that more analysis should be made until a final product is ready. Some areas of improvements are suggested. .

Many traffic incidents are due to the driver?s lack of attention, resulting in dangerous lane departures, either sliding off theroad or into the oppose lane. These kinds of incidents often have serious outcomes, which has led to much effort being concentrated on preventing or lessening the damages when the incident is already a fact, for example by installing safety belts and air bags. These measures may be considered to be acts of so-called passive safety. Active safety on the other hand, means that the safety systems intervene before the incidents have occurred.

Staphylococcus aureus is the most clinically important Staphylococcus species and is associated with high mortality in patients with positive blood cultures. S. aureus bacteria may cause a variety of disease manifestations ranging from minor skin infections to life-threatening conditions such as pneumonia, meningitis, osteomyelitis, endocarditis, toxic shock syndrome (TSS) and sepsis. This microorganism belonging to the gram positive cocci may also be part of the normal flora. In Sweden, penicillinase-stable penicillins are the primary alternatives to treat S.

The agricultural sector is currently highly dependent on fossil fuels, with diesel beingmost prominent. There are however both historical and modern alternatives thathave not been subject to enough evaluation to disregard them as suitable alternative.This report aims to theoretically investigate the feasibility of converting aconventional diesel driven tractor to run on electricity, delivered via a cableconnected to either the main power grid or on-site electric production, such asphotovoltaic. Delivering electricity to the machine via a cable is a method withhistorical roots in the early 20th century and in the present day mining industry.The economic and technological potential of the technique are evaluated, along withthe examination of several different motor powers, voltages, losses and constructionideas. The report finds the technique to be both possible as well as long termeconomically and environmentally beneficial. To realise this method however, somedeviations from the present methods of agricultural farming must be made,considering the more advanced driving patterns, the limited mobility and therequirement for extra driver awareness.

Målet med det här arbetet har varit att utveckla en ljudmotor skriven i JavaScript som underlättar ljuddesign för webbsidor. Ett sekundärt mål har varit att diskutera hur relevant Flash är för ljuddesign på webben och huruvida HTML5 har möjligheten att ersätta Flash i framtiden. En ljudmotor som har fått namnet Klang har utvecklats som ett JavaScriptbibliotek för integration med interaktiva webbsidor. Ljudmotorn använder Web Audio API, den nyligen föreslådda ljudstandarden för HTML5, som bas för uppspelning och processering av ljud. För att anpassa ljuddesignen för olika typer av webbsidor har Klang möjligheten att dynamiskt styra hur musik och ljud spelas upp beroende på vilken typ av webbsida den används för och hur en besökare använder denna webbsida.

Syfte: Syftet med denna studie var att jämföra graden av smärta och illamående hos två patientgrupper inom ortopedi som smärtlindrades med tablett Dolcontin/Depolan/Morfin eller tablett Oxycontin/Oxynorm postoperativt dag 0, 1 och 2. Syftet var även att undersöka vilka riskfaktorer enligt Apfel Risk Score som kan påverka grad av illamående samt att undersöka om en korrelation fanns mellan preoperativ information och incidensen av postoperativt illamående och kräkning (PONV).Metod: En komparativ studie med kvantitativ ansats. Data samlades in genom två olika enkäter, varav en enkät fylldes i av patienterna och en enkät av sjuksköterskorna. 48 patienter inkluderades i studien, 24 per substans. Både kvinnor och män som genomgått elektiva knä- eller höftarteroplastikoperationer deltog i studien och de var mellan 31-77 år.

This study is a quantitative study designed to examine whether training in health issues may have contributed to the increase in head managers' psychological capital (PsyCap). Construction consists of the following components: self confidence, hope, optimism and resilience. A high PsyCap considered beneficial in organizational change and steer towards the positive development and helps individuals in stressful situations. The results show an increase of characteristics such as hope and optimism among managers (N = 15) who have undergone training in health issues compared with managers who have not undergone training. However, the tests show no significant difference in head managers' attitudes to health breaks, not the severity of granting health breaks in the groups as a result of training.

Rapporten handlar om framtagning av användarvänlig konstruktionslösning till en frekvensstyrd filterkärra och görs på uppdrag av Lars-Olof Larsson vid Filterteknik AB i Karlstad. Kursen är Examensarbete högskoleingenjörsexamen i maskinteknik, MSGC17 vid fakulteten för teknik- och naturvetenskap på Karlstads universitet under vårterminen 2014.I detta examensarbete tas en konstruktionslösning fram till en frekvensstyrd filterkärra som är en blivande produkt och ersättare till två tidigare filterkärror. Filterkärrans uppgift är att filtrera olika oljor från vatten och partiklar. En testkörningsprototyp fanns från början och huvudkomponenterna var utvalda. Genom produktutvecklingsprocessens metodik har ett antal prototyper tagits fram och utifrån det har den med bäst lösning valts och arbetats vidare med. Resultatet blev en kärra med samma ramstomme som tidigare liknade kärror.

AbstractAs a developer of database-driven applications you will be faced with difficult choices, when it comes to choosing database, server and programming language. For the result to be satisfactory it requires the different techniques to interact well with each other and also fulfill performance expectations. This is even more important when the application is deployed to the cloud and the response time plays a major role.This paper evaluates different databases and their performance. To test the databases there was an application made in the server script language PHP or Hypertext Preprocessor and it was deployed to Windows Azure cloud platform. The test applications task is to call and load databases by controlled requests which creates, reads, updates and deletes data in an relatively large extent.The results shows that locale databases or databases in the same data center as the server generates the fastest response.

The purpose of this essay is to acquire variables that explain and may be used as a base for wage estimation in the private sector in Sweden. The factors that are assumed to have an impact on wage estimation are based on earlier Swedish and international studies. Business survey data, which is based upon monthly questions to firms in various sectors of the Swedish economy posed by the Swedish National Institute of Economic Research, will be analyzed to find out weather they have an impact on Swedish wage settings or not. Tests including business survey data are yet rarely frequent, why this essay will be some kind of a pioneer within the area. To estimate significant factors that influence wage setting in Sweden, three different wage equations have been modeled and tested with a regression model.

This report describes the design and construction of a prototype that automatically aims a microwave link towards a target. The link, that is located on a mobile aerial mast, is used by Saab Training Systems as a part of an infrastructure network. The report also discusses the development of a GUI that communicates with the control unit by Bluetooth.The control unit, called Pan/Tilt-controller, controls the position of the link by stepping motors. One motor controls the azimuth angle and the other one controls the elevation angle.By a GUI the operator enters the coordinates on its own position and the targets position. Hereafter a bearing is calculated and it will be sent up to the control unit.The control unit will sense its own direction by a magnetic sensor that works as an electronic compass.
