The aim of this study was to investigate whether the Swedish Institute of public health care uses paternalistic information in their alcohol publications. My intention has also been to examine to what extent the paternalistic information is being used. This is determined simply by how frequently paternalistic information is found in the publications. I chose to analyse five publications that contain alcohol related information and had a clear Motive. My results show that all five publications use paternalistic methods with the intention to change readers, or people in their surroundings, alcoholic behaviour. Though this is quite a small essay, I have suggested extended research of the subject ? preferably of all 176 alcoholic publications presented by the Institute of public health care..

Researchers points out that social media has become a powerful venue to spread news, both for the news business and the users. Although the news diffusion has become a phenomenon to be reckoned with, we have found no research in Sweden about what motivate users of social media to share news.This thesis work therefore investigates news sharing on the social network Facebook by examining user Motives in the light of the media theory uses and gratifications. A web survey was conducted and distributed to students at a Swedish university. The result showed that expression was the strongest Motive to share news on Facebook, and the item that was highly valued by the students was to give other valuable information. The result also showed that other Motives for sharing news was socialization, information, status and entertainment. .

The essay is a text centred study of ten Young Adult Novels, in which Internet plays an essential part. The structure is put into light out of used narrative techniques of how to create stories and its construction elements. I compare the ten Young Adult novels to each other. My aim is to analyze the functions of the Internet Motive in the chosen novels, using different approaches, and enlighten it with concerns to the new phenomenon that Internet is in society. In 1988 the Swedish Social Democratic Party decided to reform the tax system. In this essay I analyse the Motives behind their acting on a basis of the party strategic theories of Przeworski and Sjöblom. They have strived for deepened knowledge of the work and personaldevelopment, strengthened professionalism and raised working status. The structuralMotive powers have been i.e raised salary and changed, more attractive workingtasks. Legitimation and possibility to run your own company are both a Motive and astructural Motive power.
