Gymnastics is a reoccurring event in the physical education of many students. Despite this, there is still today limited research which describes the students? perspective and interest for this activity and if there are any differences between genders. The purpose of this study has therefore been to investigate students? interest for gymnastics and if there are any experiences, which can affect this interest.

Detta examensarbete handlar om vad några elever i årskurs 2, 5 och 9 säger om sin lust att lära i matematik. Arbetet har sin teoretiska utgångspunkt inom den sociokulturella teoribildningen, där fokus ligger på lärande i samspel med andra. Undersökningen utfördes genom intervjuer, där 4 elever i varje årskurs, dvs. 12 elever ingår i undersökningsgruppen. Varje intervju gjordes i par om flicka/pojke, vilket resulterade i 6 intervjuer.

This essay aims to examine Martha Nussbaum's proposal for a classical defense of reform in liberal education and her critique of utility thinking in higher education. I want to explore how Nussbaum uses history to create an ethical alternative that cultivates both moral and intellectual virtues, which she considers to be crucial for the survival of democracy. In examining Nussbaum's use of Aristotle, I focus on her work as a proposal for institutional implementation of an Aristotelian epistemology and the cultivation of the individual as an ethical political subject. This study highlights the epistemological, educational and political ideas that form the basis of Nussbaum's ideals. I intend, however, to go beyond a contextualizing reading and thus establish a dialogue with a radical intersubjectivity to respond to Nussbaum's ambitions to recognize human vulnerabilities as assets for reason.

Our main reason for this master thesis is to find out how librarians get knowledge and understanding about people with disabilities in order to make the library more accessible. Our aim is to study the so-called 4 x 4 education which is an education about accessibility to and within cultural institutions and find out if a specific education is helpful to librarians in this matter. We also discuss what librarians themselves find desirable in an education of this type. Socio-cultural perspective is our choice as background theory. The socio-cultural perspective states that learning depends on social activity and social interaction.

In today?s school in Sweden the assignment of community encompasses mediated values and education of democracy as well of single subject matters. What does it mean then, that teachers have a certain kind of idea of democracy, and what implications may biology have for the assignment of community? In upper secondary school there are quite many courses in biology with a national curriculum, and findings show that students of teaching perceive or think of biology as helping to promote the dual-purpose of teaching. In this study, the author of the paper has interviewed four future teachers of upper secondary school with biology as one of their main subjects.

This essay examines the 1962 Swedish parliamentary debate preluding the proposition to introduce a uniform compulsory education for all Swedish children. The proposition aimed at ending the previously heterogeneous educational system and replace it with a more equal and democratic system.A widespread debate ensued, regarding the status of Christian religious education (kristendomskunskap) and its new emphasis on scientific objectivity. This essay will examine the relative position of Christianity within the new uniform school system, as it was articulated by the members of the Swedish parliament. This analysis will be achieved through the use of a discourse analytical study of the parliamentary records, the recorded motions and bills. From these records a substantial disparity in the parliamential members articulation of the concept of Christianity can be ascertained, even within the discourse of an educational regime.

I denna studie används Mölndals Stad som fall för att belysa hur chefer i offentliga organisationer förhåller sig till begreppet motivation samt hur de går till väga för att öka motivationen bland anställda, trots ekonomiska begränsningar. Inledningsvis presenteras begreppet motivation ur ett allmänintresseperspektiv vilket följs av en sammanfattning av tidigare forskning på området. I huvudkapitlet presenteras flertal motivationsteorier såsom yttre faktorer, inre faktorer, behovsteorier, kognitiva teorier, sociala teorier och arbetskaraktäristiska modeller. Intervjuer som genomfördes med chefer på Mölndals Stad sammanställs i vårt empiriska material med inriktning på de intervjuades åsikter och uppfattningar kring begreppet motivation.Resultatet av vår studie visar att det finns motivationssystem i offentliga verksamheter och att det främst handlar om att de sällan är allmän kända, varken för ledaren eller anställda. Detta beror på att motivationssystem ofta förknippas med väl strukturerade ekonomiska belöningar, vilket det inte finns resurser till i offentliga organisationer, chefer ser alltså inte deras vardagliga motivationsmetoder som en del av ett system.

The Lugnetgymnasium in Falun has a graphic education that supplies a color printer, which is availablefor the students in their hall. The printer is a Ricoh AFC 6513 and it is a model that can handlevariable data. It was bought in the autumn of 2002. The teachers of the graphic education want to makeuse of the variable data function and procure a variable data software. The purpose of this project is toevaluate variable data software?s, so that the most suitable choice of software can be made for the graphiceducation.

Uppsatsen diskuterar vilka anledningar det finns till att använda sig av inhyrd personal från bemanningsföretag sett ur det inhyrande företagets perspektiv. Vi nämner även de argument som talar mot användningen av inhyrd personal och tittar närmare på skillnader i motivation och lojalitet hos den inhyrda personalen, samt vilka åtgärder som det inhyrda företaget vidtar för att påverka lojaliteten och motivationen hos den inhyrda personalen. Fallstudier har genomförts på Norrmejerier, BoxModul AB och Skanska Prefab Mark AB där aktörerna har varit personer med god inblick inom det berörda området. Våra tolkningar och förklaringar är inte av generell karaktär, det handlar istället om våra undersökta aktörers uppfattningar och sanningar. Uppsatsen avhandlar en kombination av teorier kring bemanningsföretag samt motivations- och lojalitetsteorier.

This study has examined how teachers in Swedish upper secondary schools work to foster a critical perspective through the education in the subject of Swedish. The study is based on qualitative interviews conducted with three teachers, who have given their views on the role of source criticism and critical analysis of literature in the subject of Swedish. Furthermore, they have described how they incorporate these views into their own teaching.The study has shown that the teachers find that source criticism and literary analysis are interconnected, since both depend on a general critical approach, which they both help foster. The main question the study examined was how Swedish education could help foster a critical perspective. The interviewed teachers' ways of working point out a way: teacher C has integrated source criticism and referencing into most of their education, which makes them central to the education in Swedish.

Syftet med denna studie är att få en förståelse för vilka faktorer som påverkar sjundeklassares motivation gällande läsning. Detta görs genom att få en uppfattning om elevers resonemang kring läsning och en inblick i hur de hanterar svårigheter och motgångar relaterade till läsning.Det genomfördes sex individuella intervjuer med sjundeklassare och intervjuerna var utformade som samtal. Eleverna som intervjuades delades in i två grupper, pojkar och flickor för att sedan delas upp i tre undergrupper: svaga läsare, starka läsare och elever som varken utmärker sig som svaga eller som starka läsare. Eleverna lämnades stort utrymme att tala fritt om sina relationer till läsning. Materialet som samlades in sammanställdes sedan, analyserades och diskuterades i förhållande till teorier om läsning och motivation.Resultatet av intervjuerna visar att eleverna har skilda uppfattningar om böcker och läsning.

Vasaloppet är världens äldsta och längsta skidlopp och inför loppet 2012 är 15800 deltagare anmälda. Tidigare forskning har rapporterat att 75 % av alla deltagare påverkas av yttre motivationsfaktorer till deltagande samt visat att målsättning är en effektiv strategi för att öka motivationen. Studiens syfte var att undersöka vad som motiverar människor att genomföra och senare återvända till Vasaloppet utifrån ett motivations- och målsättningsperspektiv. Undersökningen genomfördes genom semistrukturerade intervjuer och omfattade tio manliga med åldern (M = 33,1) Vasaloppsdeltagare som har genomfört loppet en till fyra gånger och dessutom hade anmält sig till nästkommande lopp. Resultatet visade en förändring från yttre motivation vid det första genomförandet till en högre nivå av inre motivation men med prestationsmål som målsättning vid de båda sammanhangen.

De tydligaste slutsatserna vi har kommit fram till i vår undersökning, är att företag bör satsa på att erbjuda, de mjukvaruutvecklare som har en anställning, intressanta och roliga arbetsuppgifter. De arbetssökande, som ännu inte har en anställning, motiveras främst av ett bra arbetsklimat. Företagen bör inte, oberoende om de ska attrahera arbetskraft eller få personal att stanna kvar, konkurrera med lönesättning då, individerna i vår undersökning, ansåg att det endast gav effekt tills att de nått en viss lönenivå. I jämförelsen mellan företagen har vi inte observerat någon speciell skillnad, gällande vilka faktorer som företagen tror motiverar mjukvaruutvecklarna. Eftersom Sony Ericsson är ett större och mer välkänt företag måste mindre företag, som Ajilon, anpassa sina personalstrategier så att de blir mer attraktiva.

This paper deals with how science teachers in the Swedish secondary school choose the content in the education they give to the pupils. What are the reasons for their choices and what do they think of the purpose of science in secondary school? Through interviewing science teachers the investigation shows that there are three different views of how to choose content in the science education: one focuses on the processes of science itself, one integrates the socio-cultural aspects and one emphasizes the interests of the pupils.

The thoughts of a common school for all children have been around since the 1800?s but was something that was introduced in Sweden first in 1962. When the curriculum for primary school came in 1980 there was a new concept, a school for all. With a school for all it was aimed that all children should have the right to participation and a common education no matter what needs they could have.During my education I have come across the concept a school for all and that is something that interested me. Today?s curricula and school laws aim to ensure that all children have the right to equal education and inclusion whatever needs you have.The purpose of this study is to find out some pedagogues? thoughts and work around the concept a school for all.
