Mycket litteratur pekar idag på att elevers intresse för matematiken sjunker med stigande ålder. Den belyser även vikten av att ämnet skall innehålla lust och glädje. Matematik behöver inte vara tråkigt. Ämnet är roligt så länge förståelsen finns hos eleverna. Med detta som utgångspunkt har vi valt att undersöka vilken betydelse pedagogers olika metoder har för elevers förståelse och lust för matematiken.

Dark Tourism is a relatively new concept, but as a phenomenon it has existed for centuries in the form of pilgrimages and gladiator games. The term includes visits to places associated with death and disaster, and has in more recent years become a highlighted tourist niche. This paper addresses the phenomenon of Dark Tourism and the reasons behind a visit to such an attraction. To find out the motive behind people's visits, interviews were conducted with respondents who have previously visited one or more Dark Tourism sites. A total of 32 people were interviewed about what influenced them to go to such a macabre place.

This study concerns art education, and the importance of creativity in learning. The objective is to examine the use of art education in practice, and the school teacher?s position on this practice.The theoretical basis of the study is rooted in a socio-cultural perspective, and concerns the relationships between theoretical concepts as learning, knowledge and art education.The investigation is qualitative and the main research methods are participant observations and structured interviews.The group studied in this investigation consisted of five active educators, who work at different schools and make use of art-based methods in their daily work.My results show that teachers believe that art education can be used by schools as a gateway to the other subjects. Art is regarded as a form of understanding through which pupils explore their surroundings, challenge their ideas and build skills through interaction with others..

Introduction: Sleep is necessary for human survival. Difficulty sleeping occurs in about one in four adult person in Sweden, insomnia in every ten. There are several reasons for difficulty sleeping, where stress is one of the most common. The quality of life and health are affected negatively. Treatment with proven efficacy against insomnia is not only sleep medication, but also cognitive behavioral therapy, CBT.

The purpose of this study has been to investigate students? perceptions of the content inthe Swedish subject and current syllabus for Swedish in the third year of uppersecondary school. The purpose has also been to analyze if students are familiar with theaims they are working towards, how explicit they are and if they have any significancefor the students? results and motivation. This investigation is based on a socio-culturalperspective and was made with help of a quantitative method by using questionnaires,but has also been studied to some extent qualitatively, which have been analyzed from astudent angle.The analysis of the results shows that the students have very good perception ofwhat they should study in Swedish year three in upper secondary school.

Open source is growing outside the boundaries of hackers, amateurs and software development, creating a humongous potential in many different areas and aspects of society. The intrinsic and extrinsic motivations that drives open source have been in the subject of much research recently, but how they affect each other when paid and unpaid contributors come together is still hidden in obscurity. In this study I investigate how intrinsic and extrinsic motivation correlates with each other and how those correlations affect paid and unpaid open source software contributors. The literature synthesis is based on of systematic reviews through searches in library databases, identification of articles by searching on the Internet and by reading relevant books. My results indicate that intrinsic and extrinsic motivations continuously affect each other and that paid contributors are more vulnerable since their extrinsic motivation in terms of money is reached only when many other motivations are fulfilled.

Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att ta reda på vad som motiverar lärare och elever och vilka drivkrafter de har för att verka i skolan.

Through a quantitative examination, 26 pedagogies in the pre-school activity answered a few questions in an enquiry about outdoor education. The purpose with this examination was to find out what pedagogies think and apprehend about outdoor education, and also if the "education plan" is in their minds during outdoor activities and if they see them self´s as competent in nature studies. They have also answered questions whether they think that they have good outdoor environment that stimulates children´s development and learning and if there´s any forest that they visit on regular basis.The pedagogies think that during time spent outdoor, it´s the motor skills that are best developed. All of the pedagogies mentioned above think that they need to get more educated in nature studies and also that pedagogies attitude towards time spent outdoors affect the children. They do not think about the goals and intentions of the "educations plan" all the time.

I hälsoprofessionen är beteendeförändringar gällande fysisk aktivitet och kost centralt. Self-Determination Theory är en motivationsteori som i forskning använts för att undersöka motivation till fysisk aktivitet. Det finns däremot mindre litteratur som kopplar teorin till hälsosamma kostvanor. Studiens syfte är att kartlägga och jämföra motivation och målsättning till hälsosamma kostvanor hos en grupp studenter. Studien avser kartlägga samband mellan fysisk aktivitetsnivå, motivation och målsättning samt jämföra könsskillnader.

The aim of this study was to determine the self-perceived learning needs in patients with Coronary Heart Disease (CHD). CHD is the leading cause of death worldwide. Poor compliance is one of the causes of rehospitalisation. Patients suffering from CHD need education in order to manage their disease and prevent readmission to hospital. As hospital stays diminish the time available for patient education is limited.

Hur påverkades bilförsäljarnas motivation under finanskrisen 2008-2009 och hur försökte ledningen för företagen förbättra deras motivation? Hur förändrades de monetära belöningarna under denna period för bilförsäljarna och hur påverkade det deras prestation? Hur förändrades bilhandlarnas möjlighet att ge belöningar under finanskrisen och vilka konsekvenser fick det för företaget?Syftet med förestående uppsats är att ge en bild av hur finanskrisen 2008-2009 drabbade bilhandelsbranschen när det kom till möjligheten för motivationshöjande åtgärder för personalen. Vidare vill vi undersöka hur medarbetarnas motivation påverkades av den finansiella kris som drabbade branschen. Vi vill även undersöka hur försäljningscheferna på företagen arbetade med personalens motivation under perioden.
