Uppsatsen är en teoretisk genomgång av begrepp och begreppsområden som avser vuxnas lärande. Fokus är progressiv pedagogik där de som lär är aktiva att söka sin egen kunskap. Förförståelsen är en lärmodell som har konstruerats med ledning av författarens praktiska verksamhet som ansvarig för en ledarskapsutbildning och tidigare pedagogisk erfarenhet från studier på A-och B-nivån. Begreppsområden i lärmodellen vars syfte är att analysera är; formellt lärande, motivation, deltagare, pedagog och pedagogisk metod. Ett grundläggande begrepp i förförståelsen är problembaserat lärande, PBL, och andra metoder för grupplärande.

Studiens syfte var att undersöka några elevers och pedagogers uppfattningar om vilka faktorer som påverkar elevernas motivation till skolarbete. För att få svar på dessa frågor gjordes en studie där vi genom kvalitativa intervjuer låtit nio elever och fyra pedagoger från två skolor tala om sina upplevelser av motivation i skolan. Studien innehåller informanternas berättelser om vilka faktorer som inverkar på motivationen, resultatet diskuterades utifrån Jerome Bruners motivationsteori och  John Hatties studie om motivation. När vi sammanfattade resultatet kunde vi ur samtliga informanters svar utläsa att elevers motivation var starkt kopplad till fyra huvudområden; meningsfullhet, delaktighet, variation och upplevelsebaserad inlärning. Nyckelord: motivation, motivation, pedagogik, lärare, learning, elever, klassrum, arbetsformer.

The aim of this thesis is to examine the relationship between user education at high schools and the context in which it takes place. In order to accomplish this qualitative interviews have been executed with librarians at five Swedish high schools. The theoretical framework of this thesis is based on the sociocultural perspective and four approaches to user education developed by Olof Sundin. Based on the empirical material six themes have been identified. Each one represents a contextual factor which influences the user education.

Motivation är viktigt för människor, både i arbetslivet och livet generellt. Motivation kan huvudsakligen indelas i inre och yttre motivation, beroende på vilken avsikt individen haft med sina handlingar. En individ som drivs av inre motivation till en handling, utför den eftersom själva aktiviteten upplevs som intressant eller tillfredsställande. Handlingar baserade på yttre motivation har sin grund i något annat än själva aktiviteten, exempelvis ekonomisk belöning. Syftet med studien var att jämföra möjliga skillnader mellan manliga respektive kvinnliga högskolelärare avseende inre och yttre motivation.

Motivation är en betydelsefull kompontent för en individs utövande utav studier. Studien utgick ifrån motivationsteorin Self- determination theory. Syftet med studien var att redogöra för relationen mellan högskolestudenters demografiska faktorer och vilken typ av motivation som driver dem till att utöva studier, samt relationen mellan motivationstyperna. Med typ av motivation avses amotivation, inre samt yttre motivation. Studien bestod utav 102 studenter, varav 49 män och 53 kvinnor, från en högskola i mellersta Sverige som fick besvara enkäten The Academic Motivation Scale.

Under skoltiden är det meningen att man ska lära sig saker även i hemmet. En viktig del i en inlärningsprocess är motivation, då ofta i de inledande faserna under processen. Den här studien undersöker hur man kan studera motivation i en läxläsningssituation, de olika perspektiv som finns att beskriva motivation och om det finns en skillnad i ansträngning och prestation mellan individer av positiv respektive negativ attityd. Resultatet visar att det inte finns en signifikant skillnad i varken prestation eller ansträngning mellan dessa grupper, men man kan se en tendens att positivt inställda anstränger sig mer..

För dagens företag är det förändra eller försvinna som gäller, men det gäller att få med sig de anställda på förändringståget. Här är kommunikation och motivation viktigt. Syftet med studien är således att undersöka begreppen kommunikation och motivation i en organisation under förändring. Studien kastar ljus på såväl hur tvåvägskommunikation mellan de olika nivåerna: ledning, mellanchefer och medarbetare fungerat som hur berörd personals motivation till sina arbetsuppgifter påverkats av ett förändringsprojekt. Uppsatsen baserar sig på en fallstudie på Billerud Karlsborg, där vi intervjuat anställda som deltagit i projektet ProMark.

This is a study where the purpose was to investigate whether preschool teachers have a positive or negative attitude to outdoor education. Their view of outdoors education is also treated. The methods used were questionnaires and semi-structured interviews. The survey was sent to all preschool teachers in three municipalities and on a social network. The interviews were conducted at a preschool, which had a form of outdoor profile.

Metod: Studien har en kvalitativ ansats med semistrukturerade intervjuer. Sju tr?nare fr?n olika orienteringsgymnasier i Sverige deltog. Intervjuerna analyserades tematiskt f?r att identifiera ?terkommande teman i tr?narnas uppfattningar. Resultat: Resultatet visar att tr?nare uppfattar motivation som n?got individuellt och f?r?ndringsbart.

The objective with this study is to investigate the school introduction of newly arrived students, by focusing on the latter years of high school, by comparing two schools method of working.This was done by a qualitative survey based on half structured interviews and existing school documentation.The questions of the study targeted the schools method of working, how well the education was adapted to the students and if it was appropriate to them. We also asked about the school resources to meet the need of the newly arrived students. Our theoretical assumptions were based on Haugs? terms ?including integration? and ?excluding integration?, Lahdenperäs? theory about intercultural education, Vygotskijs thoughts about adapted education and finally Blossings? description of different cooperative cultures. Our results showed that school introduction for newly arrived students were formed from the schools? view on learning development and adapted education.

Society today is characterized by the transforming effect IT has had, the majority of the activities we perform on a daily basis involves one way or another digital technology. One area which has not yet seen the positive effects of IT is education. Despite the progress of technology, the school education has barely changed since it first saw the light of day. Our goal with this study is to investigate the possibility of implementing Gamification elements in educational environments and examine whether it could increase our young students learning motivation. We believe that this kind of implementation will have a positive effect for these young people since they have been interacting with games since they were small and are familiar with the driving force of a reward system.With this study we want to examine the opportunities and challenges that Gamification implementation brings out in a learning environment and therefore encourage and motivate our young ones to study even harder..

Music used in exercise has been widely used since 1970. Researchers have pointed out thatfuture research about music influence on motivation should include a comparison betweengender in health club environments. This is also the aim of this paper. We have handed outsurveys, all together 120, in two different health clubs in Gothenburg, Sweden. A distinctionhas been done between gender.

Tolfterna was a popular education organization that existed between 1896 and1964 and that arranged social evenings and set up a library for working women. This thesis purpose is to investigate Tolfternas's activities in 1902-1907 and hereby place Tolfterna in the education- and library history. The thesis examines the library catalog and the protocols from the social evenings and analyses them by means of the popular education ideologies of the early 1900's: Patriarchal education, civic education, self-education and the domestic/housewife ideal.The analysis shows that the organizers of Tolfterna as well as the working women who visited the social evenings had political and social interests. This places Tolfterna in a civic education context.The social evenings contained a mix of politically orientated discussions, traditional lectures and entertainment as music and reading. The library had self-education orientation, it contained mostly fiction and was run by the working women.

Syftet med detta examensarbete är att undersöka vad som motiverar elever till att lära sig i skolan, samt få kunskap om hur jag som lärare kan hjälpa omotiverade elever att hitta lusten till fortsatt lärande. Svaren på frågeställningarna har sökts dels i litteratur och dels genom intervjuer med elever i år åtta. Resultatet visar att det som främst motiverar eleverna är att få bra betyg, att bygga en bra grund inför fortsatta studier, och att kunna skaffa sig en bra utbildning för att senare få ett bra arbete. Eleverna stimuleras även när något är roligt. Humor och glädje skapar lust hos eleverna.

The aim of this master's thesis is to examine whether librarians working in public libraries see fiction as a source of knowledge, and what role this plays in the educational mission of the public library. This investigation, which consists of a literary study and an empirical section, shows that the concept of phronesis denotes practical wisdom and moral thinking, and that it can be applied to that form of knowledge to which reading can contribute. An important issue in this context is the reader's motivation to learn. The interviews show that librarians see literature as a source from which knowledge can be drawn. When they mediate literature, they believe that they are conveying something of value and they set great store in mediating literature which could have a not inconsiderable import to the borrowers.
