Bakgrund: Enligt världshälsoorganisationen WHO har 347 miljoner människor diabetes runt om i världen. WHO menar att diabetes kommer vara den sjunde ledande orsaken till död år 2030. Diabetes typ 2 kan vara genetiskt betingad och den påverkas av livsstilsfaktorer såsom kost, motion, ålder och tobaksvanor. Vilket innebär att det är viktigt att diabetiker har kunskap och rätt tillvägagångssätt för att kunna hantera och utföra egenvårdsaktiviteter. Sjuksköterskans roll är att stödja och främja egenvården.

I have done a comparative gender study of Library of Congress Classification from 1900 and 2001. I have also used a hermeneutic method and ideological critics to find out what picture of women the both systems shows. In my comparative study of the both systems I have found low update of classes which relates to women in the new classification system. Men seem to be a norm in the system, because men are not defined in classes related to both men and women. But many classes related to women are named Women as and Women in The study also shows that women are more related to subjects about family and marriage than men are.

The purpose of this study was to gain a clearer picture of how after-school-care teachers? work with fundamental values in after-school care, both practically and theoretically based on the curriculum Lgr 11. I wanted to acquire a broader understanding of the school's core values and what kinds of tools teachers used to cope with their task. I proceeded with two questions:How does after-school care proactively work with core values based on gender, ethnicity and class?How does the work on value issues at after-school care centers compare with Lgr 11?In my study, I used literature studies and a qualitative analysis of five interviews with afterschool care teachers.

Many new electronic publication systems have arisen in the past few years, one of them is the weblog. In 1999 there were 23 weblogs, today there are millions thus a need for organisation has appeared, both special metadata and subject indexes have been invented and created. Semi structured interviews were used to investigate three menand four women?s experiences of using Windows mobiles with adaptedfunctions for text messaging.

Fetma, som oftast beror på dåliga matvanor och låg fysisk aktivitet, är en stor bidragande orsak till ökningen. När en person drabbas av diabetes innebär det att patienten bör ändra sin livssituation när det gäller kost och motion. Undervisning av sjuksköterska kan stödja patienten i denna omställning. Syftet med denna studie är att beskriva patienters erfarenheter av undervisning i diabetes typ 2.Datainsamlingen genomfördes genom sökning i databas Cinahl, Pubmed, och sökningar i andra artiklars referenser.

Energy is an essential part of the society and for a sustainable future we need to use the energy resources in a sustainable way. The forest is Sweden?s most important resource for renewable energy and a higher production combined with shorter rotation periods (time from planting to clear cutting) can increase the access to energy. The tree genus poplar (Populus spp.) is interesting as energy resource as it has both high production and short rotation period. But browsing ungulates are a major threat to the establishment of poplar plants and therefore the poplar plantations need to be fenced in today. To use fences is expensive and time consuming; this makes it interesting to find more cost-effective solutions where there is no need to fence. The aim with this study was to look at the ungulates? occupation rate and browsing pressure in poplar plantations without fence.

The purpose of this paper is to examine how teachers choose to work with the teaching of reading and writing skills, how teachers justify their choice of teaching method and how the documentation of student development is being used. This paper also discusses the definition of reading and writing, phonological awareness and how different reading- and writing educational methods can be combined. The gathering of information has been done through a literature review in which I have looked at past research on reading and writing. I have also conducted qualitative interviews with teachers involved in literacy learning. The result of my research shows that it is not possible to determine which literacy learning methods that are most effective.

In my paper I adress the question of what happens in the relationship between the beholder, the artwork and the artist when they meet in the era of Web 2.0. The new smartphone based medium that I write about is Instagram. The artist i write about is the Swedish illustrator Jesper Waldersten. My purpose with this paper was to explore how the the beholder, pictures and artist relate to one another i relation to Instagram and how the interface of the smartphone and the app affect the beholder in these relationships. I also seek out to understand the difference between how Instagrams interface affect the beholder in comparison to the interface of the artists web page and his book.

The aim with my work was to gain a deeper understanding of some adult adopted children?s experiences and reflections about which role parent ship plays for the adopted child?s development of identity. Following questions have been in focus: What does a working parent ship imply, seen from the perspective of adopted child? In which way can the development of identity for the adopted child be supported by a functional parent ship? Semi-structured interviews were carried out with the two following themes: Support and confirmation. The sample consisted of five foreign-adopted between the age of 18 and 37 years.

Den minskade fysiska aktiviteten bland barn och ungdomar håller på att få förödande konsekvenser för folkhälsan. Trots att kunskapen finns om hur viktig den fysiska aktiviteten är för den motoriska, sociala, psykiska och fysiska utvecklingen fortsätter andå statusen av ämnet Idrott och hälsa att vara låg. Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva gymnasielevers vanor avseende fysisk aktivitet samt analysera vad skolan kan göra för att förbättra hälsan hos eleverna. Metoden som användes var en enkätundersökning. Urvalsgruppen utgjordes av 65 elever, varav 41 flickor och 24 pojkar, i årskurs 2 på en gymnasieskola i Skåne.Resultatet visar att 74% av eleverna ägnar sig åt motion minst 3 ggr/vecka: Femtiofem procent tycke om att röra på sig och lika många var fysiskt aktiva som barn.Slutsatser som kan dras av detta är att många elever tycker om att röra på sig men för att alla ska bli nådda är skolan en viktig arena som borde ta sitt ansvar.
