Stop motion som uttryckssätt : En kvalitativ studie med fokus på de påverkande faktorerna för varför unga vuxna amatörer väljer stop motion-animation som uttryckssätt
Playfulness and curiosity in the usage of new technology and digital filmmaking has always been of great importance within these fields. There are many different media technologies that can form what the user wants to communicate in a certain context. One of these forms of expression that has increased in popularity from the early 20th century until today is the animation technique, Stop motion. Amateur filmmakers have also found an interest in using the technique. Our purpose has been to study the different aspects as to why young-adult amateur filmmakers have chosen stop motion as the way to express themselves.

In this degree project a study of the importance of a graphic identity to companies has been done. A questionnaire among small companies in Dalarna has beenmade. From this, three sets of graphic profile-program have been formed andthese are suitable for new companies. Finally a practical application has been made on Greenfield in Mora, a graphic profile has been designed.To cause an identity is to prove that someone or something exists by individualizingand distinguish. Every individual or company has its qualities or charasteristics.The way to a desirable identity is going by a corporate identity-program that containsthe companies strategies, people, products, buildings, trademarks, graphic design.

This degree project has been done in parallel to the advertising agency Hera in Uppsala, and containsthe creating of a logotype and graphic profile for Aircall, a new big chain of shops dealing with telecommunication.Aircall was found 1 February 2004, when three smaller companies became one. Thisnew company were in need of a common brand and a uniform profile. The created graphic profile hasbeen applied to visiting cards, letterhead, envelopes, letter cards, bags, cars and advertisement. Thegraphic profile has also been used when designing the shop interior end exterior. Research has beendone on competitors graphic profiles and advertisement.

The goal with this project was to develop a graphic template for a new magazine about running, STARK Löpning. Besides the looks of the graphic elements, sections in the magazine would be developed. Finally, a discussion is made about how the magazine can be remade into an electronic format.Content analyses has been made regarding magazines with both a main and a specific orientation, to review the graphic relationship between them. A content analysis regarding a competing magazine about running was also made.An unstructured interview was done with Art Director Petrus Iggström, to find out his way of working when he creates new graphic templates for magazines.The discussion concerning the electronic format was done based on previous research in the subject.The graphic relationship between main and specific magazines turned out to not be significant, they had few similarities. It was often showed that elements regarding the magazine s?identity had been changed, for example text fonts.

»Does it have to be so green?« is a visual communication project focused on packaging design. I attempted to challenge the clichés of graphic design for organic products and designed a packaging concept for a fictional food brand. The project had a special objec¬tive which was to explore ways to use the package as carrier for in¬formation about the enviromental impact of the packaging itself.The process included research about packaging design and its ef¬fect on the consumer, an investigation of the Swedish market for organic foods, creating and defining a brand, and designing a cohe¬rent packaging concept for a product line which communicates the brand?s values and appeals to the intended target group.The project resulted in prototypes for a muesli package, tea car¬ton and honey jar, as well as a manual that explains the application of the graphic program..

Att animera mänskliga Karaktärer : En studie kring animation med hjälp av icke verbal kommunikation
I detta arbete undersöks det vilken av två animationsmetoder, handanimation eller motion capture som främst skapar animation som upplevs av åskådaren som naturlig i sitt rörelsemönster. För att besvara denna fråga har en litteraturstudie genomförts som främst fokuserar på området kroppsspråk. Tre typer av animationer har skapats dels med hjälp av motion capture-teknik och dels med handanimation. Sedan utvärderas de olika animationsklippen genom en kvalitativ undersökning där det visade sig att de animationer som skapats med hjälp av motion capture-teknik upplevdes som naturligast i sitt rörelsemönster. .

Samt att hålla ordning på många individuella filer kan i längden bli jobbigt för användare. Med en databasorienterad lagrinsgslösning kan olika API:er användas för att göra data kompatibel med flera olika verktyg och program, samt att det kan användas för att skapa en centraliserad lösning för att enkelt hålla ordning på information. Bland databaser finns det två primära grupperingar: SQL och NoSQL. Detta arbete ämnar undersöka vilken typ som passar för att hantera motion capture data.

The printer is a Ricoh AFC 6513 and it is a model that can handlevariable data. It was bought in the autumn of 2002. The teachers of the graphic education want to makeuse of the variable data function and procure a variable data software. The purpose of this project is toevaluate variable data software?s, so that the most suitable choice of software can be made for the graphiceducation.

Den sociala kontexten inom idrotten är en viktig orsak till utövares motivation. Sociala skäl såsom känsla av tillhörighet, att vara del av ett lag och social status rapporteras som centrala anledningar till engagemang. Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka vilka motiv individer anger till sitt motionerande med fokus på de sociala aspekterna, med en jämförelse mellan könen. Studien utgår ifrån Deci och Ryans Self-Determination Theory (2000). Motiv till deltagande i motion mättes genom användandet av ?The Exercise Motivation Inventory-2?.
Att navigera med gester : Gestbaserad teknik för framtiden
Technology evolves quickly, with innovative ideas growing everywhere. Still, no technology is anywhere near challenging the mouse and keyboard for navigation of your standard computer. This study focuses on comparing the traditional technologies of mouse and keyboard with the new technology of gestures - in this case Leap Motion - in purpose of finding how the usage differs and what the potential users want from the competing technology. The experiment was executed in a controlled environment, with as few external factors as possible. We found that although the test subjects found Leap Motion fun, the test subjects do not want to surf the web with gestures.

I detta arbete undersöker jag om kost, sömn och motion påverkar elevers vakenhet i skolan. Litteraturgenomgången behandlar aktuella rön kring näringslära, sömn, motion, riktlinjer för skolmat och skolfrukostförsök. Även Linköpings kommuns roll i skolmatfrågan behandlas. I en enkätundersökning bland 35 sjätteklassare kartläggs deras mat, sömn och motionsvanor under fyra dagar. Resultatet behandlas i en enkätanalys, där det framgår att kost och motion kan påverka elevernas vakenhet i skolan.

and practical functions. The walls usually consist of the houses. They have a big
influence on the streetscape depending on architecture, heights and widths.

The study addresses the field of design as a profession and examines the views on strategic management in a design project among nine selected graphic designers. The graphic designers who participate in the study are permanently employed at design companies in Stockholm. The study has a qualitative approach and the method is based on face-to-face interviews. We have chosen to examine this subject due to the opinion among professionals that strategic management in the design industry has increased during the last decades. There is a belief that strategic management in some cases are used too extensively as a way for design companies to make more money.
