I artiklar skrivs det om att ny teknik såsom Web services kan medföra t ex förändringar i processer och sättet att överföra och hantera data. Web services anses av många vara en lösning på integrationsproblem som uppstår när data finns i olika system som inte kommunicerar med varandra. Vi som systemvetare anser att vår studie bidrar till att belysa andra aspekter än de tekniska när det gäller Web services. Vi har studerat organisatoriska konsekvenser av införandet av Web services. Studien kan inte fastställa att Web services är en bra teknik generellt för att integrera system.

Boendesegregationen i våra svenska städer är ett problem som ökar. Den fysiska planeringen är en faktor som påverkar hur väl stadsdelar är fysiskt integrerade med varandra. Olika planeringsideal leder till skilda typer av fysiska strukturer, och i stadsbyggnadsprojekt finns idag visioner om att koppla samman fysiskt och socialt segregerade stadsdelar med den nya strukturen. Målet är att bidra till en ökad integration, såväl fysiskt som socialt. Syftet med arbetet har varit att studera två sådana aktuella projekt, H+ i Helsingborg och Hyllie i Malmö, för att se vilka fysiska strukturer och arbetssätt som förordas och vad de ser för möjligheter och begränsningar att genomföra visionerna.

The aim of this thesis is to investigate whether personal development, from the professional perspective, could be a relevant part of the music education department at Malmö Academy of Music. The thesis explores whether students would gain a better understanding of the professional teacher's role through personal development, and also the kind of educational structure that would be most suitable to achieve this understanding. A qualitative focal group interview was used as a method, and the participants where four students at Malmö Academy of Music. The results show that the students generally would be open-minded to integrate personal development in their educational program, and they also have a lot of interesting ideas regarding how a framework for the integration of personal development in the educational program could be structured. A number of suggestions how to integrate self reflection in the educational program are presented in the thesis.

In this study, emphasis was situated around pupils? expectations regarding body shape and physical proficiency among teachers within the subject of physical education. Additionally, possible outcomes of failure to uphold such demands were put in relation to aspects of legitimacy. To enable such study a qualitative study including semi-structured interviews was conducted and carried through, involving six pupils in the third grade of upper secondary education. Integration är en diskussion som är högt på agendan i Sverige. Mitt syfte har med denna uppsats varit att ta reda på hur ensamkommande flyktingbarn får chans att integreras i Bromölla kommun. Mina frågeställningar har varit: I vilken grad har integrationsmålen uppnåtts? Hur kan implementeringsresultatet förklaras? På vilka sätt skulle man kunna utveckla verksamheten till det bättre i Bromölla? Jag har valt att använda mig av implementeringsteori och har mätt hur integrationsmålen implementerats i verkligheten. This work is based on qualitative interviews with four educationists who before their university studies lack education in their own field of work. The study aims to explore how higher learning influenced and affected these people. As a theoretical point of view the concept of implicit learning and Aristotle?s epistemological approach was used. The study gives an idea that the concept of knowledge is advanced and can go from practical experience to more theoretical understandings.

This thesis is about how the library can help immigrants integrate into theswedish society. By studying leading documents of the libraries in Malmö,Stockholm and Umeå in search for how the relate to work consideringimmigrants and integration I have studied the library as a bridge betweenbeing included and excluded in the society. The thought is that the libraryopens the door to new worlds both for immigrants and born swedes toobtain knowledge about a culture different from their own.In my thesis I reached the conclusion that library on a day to day basisworks with the integrationprocess for immigrants. This study aims to build a deeper understanding of how differences in identities and communication can affect the possibilities of achieving a successful merger between companies from different type of industries. Our study is of qualitative nature and looks into the specific merger between Företagshälsovården AB and Managementkonsulterna AB. The study builds upon 16 semi structured interviews which are carried out with employees from both parts of the organization and with management personnel. Firstly our study shows that the different identities existing within the different parts of the organization, highly affect the integration process after a merger. Secondly we show that the level of communication transmitted from the management, but also between the different parts of the organization, affects the possibilities of creating a successful merger.

Jag har med mitt examensarbete satt mig in i om inte lokalhistoria skulle kunna vara ett sätt att höja intresset. Lokalhistoria är inte bara ett sätt att läsa historia utan det finns förutsättningar att integrera alla skolans ämnen för att försöka skapa engagemang och komma fram till sammanhang och helhetsbilder för eleverna. I lokalhistoriska studier börjar man att arbeta med det som ligger nära eleven och möjligheter finns att på ett sätt väva in praktiska studier.

The aim of this study was to investigate which factors teachers and special needs education teachers view as being the main causes of mathematical learning difficulties and from these choose how to educate pupils with these difficulties. The aim was also to investigate how this education is organised at two different schools. An interview based investigation addressed these objectives by using three comprehensive questions:Which factors do the teachers and special needs teachers view as being the main reasons for mathematical learning difficulties?How do teachers and special needs teachers educate pupils with mathematical learning difficulties?How is the education organised for pupils with mathematical learning difficulties at two different schools?This study is based on four interviews of three teachers and one special needs teacher. The underlying purpose of this study is to investigate how the libraries in Sweden organize and administrate the service of providing literature in other languages than Swedish. The study focuses on the central guiding principles that regulate the provision of multilingual literature and how these guidelines are implemented in to practice at the libraries. As the guidelines are closely connected to the official discourse in Sweden concerning policies targeted towards immigrants, the guidelines will be examined from a perspective of integration politics. To assemble data a survey has been conducted looking into factors such as how the libraries perceive the guidelines, how the libraries do business intelligence and user inquires to reach out to the users of the multilingual media, forms for statistics and method of working. The results points out that the libraries in their work with multilingual media are confronted with three tensions; the first tension is that between the libraries aim to promote equality and freedom for the individual and at the same time to fulfil certain collective interests and goals.

ABSTRACTThe aim of the study was to survey attitudes towards animals among veterinary students, and to assess how the Swedish veterinary education affected students' perspectives on animals. Students in the first and second years of the study programme were asked to answer the question "What is an animal?" as they saw fit, and the answers were analysed using a qualitative-to-quantitave analysis method called the Elementary Model, which had been developed for the purpose. Results showed a significant decrease in "zoo-perspectives", i.e. views and descriptions of animals as beings with cognitive and motor functions, and a significant increase in "homo-perspectives", i.e.

In preparation for the autumn term in 2011, the Swedish elementary school adopted new syllabuses regarding, inter alia, the civic education (Sw. Samhällskunskap). The civic education has traditionally been a disciplinary subject with a main purpose of mediating democratic values as well as providing generalorientation in the society. Generally, the civic education intends to reflect the world in which people live in, being a complex society which to a large extent is regularly affected by global aspects and developments.      The purpose of this study is to review all the elementary school?s syllabuses relating to the civic education with specific focus on the globalisation perspective.
