Banks have been some of the biggest operators on the market of business customers financing. When the Swedish Förmånsrättslagen was changed 2004 the banks became more restrictive to allow traditional bank loans. The change made it more difficult for customers to get their loans granted. For that reason customers had to find other forms of financing. Factoring is an alternative that means companies can mortage/sell their claim on customers to finance companies.

Managing credit risk might be the single most important business area for any commercial bank. The assessment of "good" and "bad" corporate clients is a important task for a creditor. A bad debtor is a corporate client with hardships in meeting the continous claims (interest payments) that a creditor requires. One way of evaluating or separating a "bad" client from a "good" client is to assess the propensity for the client to file for bankruptcy. This thesis examines 226 firms in the Swedsh market in the quest of predicting corporate bankruptcy.

This essay deals with the rationale and aims for doing cultural or aesthetic activities and projects in schools, and gives special focus to a specific group of students, attending schools provided at special residential homes for young people (sa?rskilda ungdomshem). These homes receive young people with psychosocial and substance misuse problems and who show tendencies towards criminal behavior. The essay investigates how working with a cultural project in schools at these residential homes is justified and also elucidates how this specific group of students and their problems are constructed in the documents surrounding the project. The essay will further ponder over possible educational and pedagogical consequences of these constructions.The investigation has its theoretical frame work in curriculum theory.

The main purpose of this Master´s thesis, is to describe and discuss what constitutes the library collaboration between The Swedish Royal Library and the National Library of Guatemala, but also to analyse which effects the support has for public library work in Guatemala. The data consists of interviews and direct-observations during 2 months of fieldwork in Guatemala, Central America. The analysis is based on literature studies combined with the answers from the respondents and other results from the field work. We have found above all three factors to be of importance in the constitution of the collaboration between the National Library in Guatemala and the Swedish Royal Library: the Swedish library discourse, the Swedish aid discourse and the relationship between the people involved with the project. The library discourse in Sweden and in Guatemala emphasizes different aspects of the work.

The veterinary handling of wildlife, both in zoos and in the wild, commonly requires that the patients need to be captured and immobilized for examination or treatment. This emphasises the need for quick, on-site, laboratory equipment, in order to minimize the analysis time and thus the stress for the animal and also in order to increase the possibility of starting relevant treatment early on. The aim of this pilot study was to determine whether Serum Amyloid A (SAA) could be a measured in blood samples from bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus), Asian elephants (Elephas maximus) and South American tapirs (Tapirus terrestris). SAA rises to its maximum about 24 hours after the introduction of an inflammatory agent in companion animals. This also correlates with the estimated time it takes for animals at Kolmården Wildlife Park to be examined and having blood samples collected after being observed as sick. The study also evaluated whether the Eurolyser SOLO, using a turbidometric immunoassay (TIA) developed for human diagnostics, could be used for such analysis. This pilot study was a retrospective analysis of SAA in convenience sampled frozen serum, collected from dolphins, elephants and tapirs.

En ordentlig upprustning gjordes av Sissinghurst och sedan skapade de tillsammans den mest berömda och besökta arts -and -craftsträdgården i England.Trädgården användes som om den hade varit ett hus. Övre gården utgör hallen där höjdpunkten är den purpurröda rabatten med blad som har en silvergrå nyans. Vita trädgården är matsalen som är det mest berömda trädgårdsrummet på Sissinghurst. Den innehåller bara vita blommor med ett inslag av ljust rosa.

Today many separated children and youth up to 18 years - children in the sense of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child - flee from war and armed conflicts around the world. Many of them come to Sweden for protection and to apply for asylum.The aim of this study is to examine how the national Swedish news agency Tidningarnas Telegrambyrå - TT - constructs the image of separated children and youth. The main research questions have been: How does TT construct the image of the separated refugee children? The more detailed questions put to examine this main question have been: what are the issues being focused in the reporting and what discourses, voices and sources are let into the journalistic material?The theoretical perspective should be considered as social constructionistic where the basic idea is that the image of the separated child also constructs the way society looks upon them, their rights and their needs, affecting how these children will be welcomed and treated when thay arrive in our society. The empirical study is a qualitative analysis of text, produced in the span 2007- April 20th 2010.

2004 förändrades förmånsrättslagen, vilket medförde betydande förändringar för bankernas säkerheter vid kreditgivning till företag. Syfte med förändringarna var bland annat att förmå banker att ge krediter utifrån en lönsamhetsbedömning av projekten med fokus på företagets återbetalningsförmåga. En av de största förändringarna är att företagsinteckning, som är förenad med allmän förmånsrätt och omfattar 55 % av all egendom, har ersatt företagshypotek som gav bankerna särskild förmånsrätt i 100 % av företagets rörelseegendom.Uppsatsens syfte är att studera och analysera effekterna av den nya förmånsrättslagen på bankernas kreditgivning till småföretag. För att kunna göra detta har jag genomfört intervjuer med anställda på en bank och ett finansbolag.Utifrån den empiriska analysen har jag kommit fram till att bankernas benägenhet att ge krediter till småföretag inte har förändrats i någon större omfattning. Däremot har småföretagens finansieringsmöjligheter försämrats på grund av den nya förmånsrättslagen..

In the Maasai Mara National Reserve the native people, the Maasai, have lived for a long time following their own traditions. Their traditional lifestyle is that of a nomadic people, leading their cattle to the best grazing. Sharing their land with a large variation of different animals, one of them being the African Elephant (Loxodonta africana), the Maasi people have since long adapted to a life side by side with these giants, as well as the fierce predators living in the area.The aim of this study is to determine whether the Maasai settlement, known as Boma, has any impact on the elephants in the surrounding area. In order to conclude whether the bomas has an impact or not, observations of the wildlife were carried out. Observations were conducted in two different seasons, in December 2003 and May/June in 2004.

This aim is broken down into two questions.How are the Sweden Democrats (SD) voters constructed in news articles in Dagens Nyheter (DN) and Aftonbladet (AB) regarding the aftermath of the national elections?What differences are there between the portrayal of the Sweden Democrats voters and the agents that are used as opposition to them?To answer these questions we have used CDA. We have taken our approach from a modified version of Teun Van Dijks CDA model for analysing news articles.

Kommunikation finns i allt vi gör och används dagligen, vi omges även dagligen av organisationer som på olika sätt påverkar våra liv. Den kommunikation som då sker inom organisationer är den interna och formella kommunikationen, det vill säga ett informationsutbyte mellan ledning och medarbetare. Kommunikation beskrivs främst som en funktion för utbyte av information och kan delas in i två processer. Den enkelriktade som kopplas samman med Shannon & Weavers kommunikationsmodell från 1940 ? talet, samt den dubbelriktade processen som hör samman med Newcombs modell.

Uppsatsen är en kvalitativ studie av maktdistansen i den turkiska banksektorn. Syftet är att beskriva hur maktdistansen ser ut i den turkiska banksektorn. Intervjuer har genomförts med sex personer i olika positioner inom en turkisk bank. Den teoretiska utgångspunkten är Geert Hofstedes kulturdimensionsteori, mer specifikt den dimension som behandlar maktdistans. Tre egna begrepp har skapats med utgångspunkt i Hofstedes teori om maktdistans i arbetslivet.

Den här uppsatsen handlar om motivation av personal på svenska storbankers kundcenter. Bak­grunden till uppsatsen är dels diskussionen kring kundcenters ökade betydelse för företag samt problematiken kring vilka motivationsteorier som är lämpliga att använda för att moti­vera personal inom en organisation.I uppsatsen studeras personal från tre stora svenska storbankers kundcenter genom ett om­fattande enkätutskick. Uppsatsen har visat att den viktigaste faktorn för att personal på kund­center ska känna sig motiverade är att ha bra relationer med sina kollegor och överordnade. Uppsatsen har också visat att innehållsbaserade motivationsteorier är användbara för att stu­dera hur olika anställda skiljer sig i vad de värderar mest för att bli motiverade, att innehålls­baserade motivationsteorier kan användas för att förklara varför de flesta av dessa skillnader existerar samt att Herzbergs tvåfaktorsteori inte kan användas för att förklara hur mänskliga relationer påverkar en anställds motivation. .

Trots att fler och fler bankkunder uträttar sina bankärenden via Internet ökar antalet bankkontor i Sverige. Syftet med denna uppsats har varit att undersöka vilka tjänster den internetbaserade privatkunden utför på bankkontoret samt varför kunden väljer denna kanal. Genom telefonintervjuer med privatpersoner har information samlats in och vår undersökning visar att kontoret används i en mängd ärenden, både enkla som komplexa. Det intressanta som uppsatsen visat är att det finns en skillnad mellan vad personerna anser att de uträttar på kontoret och vad de faktiskt uträttat på kontoret. Majoriteten av de personer som intervjuats anser att de använder kontoret till mer komplexa tjänster och detta för att kontoret är den enda kanal där möjligheten finns att träffa en bankperson, ansikte mot ansikte.

There is a need for examining the accessibility of public web sites and for several reasons. First, public organizations possess considerable amounts information of interest to its citizens and which ought to be easily accessible. Secondly, international and national guidelines for web publishing support the different types of requirements experienced by web users and, in particular, with regard to accessibility for people with disabilities. The thesis examines the design of public web sites from two different aspects. Web sites can be built up and structured from the management view of the public organization, or, they can be constructed with a view to user needs and requirements.
