The aim of the study was to investigate whether the phenomenon of internet drugs should be considered as a moral panic or as a real danger. We have mainly focused on how society perceives young people's use of these drugs. The study is based on a qualitative approach and we have used structured interviews. The interviews were conducted with three different categories of professionals who in different ways have contact with parts of our study in their professional capacity. These are: officials, commentators, and researchers.

What drove me to write this paper is the will to  examine if there is a philosophically and scientifically viable  alternative foundation for an objective morality other than what we like to refer to as "God". The  American philosopher and neuroscientist Sam Harris presents in his book The Moral Landscape a thesis for an objective morality based on science in which he states that  science can determine human values. The purpose of this paper is to perform a theoretical trial of The Moral Landscape, examining Harris' thesis and it's relations to the philosophical obstacles that stands in its way, these being mainly the famous philosophical principle "Hume's Law" and G.E. Moore's "Naturalistic Fallacy and Open Question Argument" and thus will serve as my main theoretical foundation. The results of my study was not conclusive since Harris in fact doesn't succeed in bridging the gap between facts and values on a scientific ground.

In this modern period, societal and religious groups are strongly divided regarding the acceptability of abortion. Despite so many attempts by various groups to find a middle ground, the debate on abortion still remains largely polarized, at its most dramatic point with the extreme conservatives claiming abortion to be the moral equivalent of murder and the extreme liberals see it as devoid of moral import. And this polarization is due to the legal battle that continues to shadow moral discussions. An acceptance of an ethical nuance will here play as a concession on the deeply contested question of whether abortion should be a legally protected option for a woman, and to an extent blame for the continued crudeness which can be laid at the doorstep of a moral theory itself. Apparently, the ethical literature on abortion has focused almost exclusively on the tiniest moral assessment on whether and when abortion is morally permissible.

I den här studien intervjuas 13 diakoner i Svenska kyrkan om profetisk diakoni och vadde behöver för att utföra den. Syftet med studien är att undersöka diakoners syn påprofetisk diakoni och dess dilemman, kostnader och utmaningar. Slutsatsen är att diakonerna är mycket positivt inställda till profetisk diakoni, men de harsällan tid att ägna sig åt den ? kyrkans struktur och ledarskap komplicerar arbetet. Dessutom upplever diakonerna att deras vigningslöften om att arbeta profetiskt kan varamycket tunga att bära och svåra att leva efter, vilket kan utlösa moralisk stress.

I denna uppsats undersöks hur moral hazard påverkas i grupplån vid frånvaro av sociala band, övervakning, och kontinuerliga krediter. Undersökningen förklarar grupplån i teori men presenterar även empiriskt material från andra författares artiklar. Undersökningen visar att de sociala banden inte har den avgörande betydelsen som teorin förutsätter. The overarching aim of this essay is to analyze, from a feminist point of view, the moral responsibility for the structural oppression of women. In this discussion I focus on the issue of moral responsibility for sexual violence against women, such as rapes. I claim that a feminist theory of moral responsibility has to be based on a collectivist approach. I argue that men should be considered as collective moral responsible for the structural oppression of women. However, it is important that we analyze the interaction between actor and structure.

Syfte: Att undersöka i vilka situationer moralisk stress förekom hos sjuksköterskor inom somatisk vård och hur uppfattningen av moralisk stress påverkades av sjuksköterskans ålder och erfarenhet. Bakgrund: Moralisk stress hos sjuksköterskor uppkommer när de vet vad som borde göras, men strukturella, organisatoriska eller ekonomiska faktorer utgör ett hinder för att utföra rätt handling. Effekter av detta kan leda till dålig självkänsla, depression eller att arbetsplatsen lämnas. Metod: En litteraturstudie med granskning och bearbetning av tio kvantitativa vetenskapliga artiklar genomfördes. Resultat: Sjuksköterskor upplevde moralisk stress i samarbete med andra professioner samt vid samarbete inom den egna professionen. Moralisk stress upplevdes vid meningslöst vårdande som till exempel ineffektiv vård när läkaren gav inkompetent vård. Även vid meningslöst livsuppehållande vård upplevdes moralisk stress. I vissa etiska situationer och vid besparingar som innefattade personalbrist och kostnadsbesparingar, uppstod även moralisk stress.

Background: During the year 2002 approximately 27 000 people lost their jobs because of companies filing for bancruptcy. In 2002 the number of companies filing for bancruptcy in Sweden were 6740. This is approximately twice as many as in the year of 1974 when the first major study concerning bancruptcies in Sweden was carried out. The accumulated amount of unpaid bancruptcy claims for the period 1991 ? 1997 was 51 billion SEK.

Syftet med studien var att undersöka seniorsfotbollsspelares personliga egenskaper, motiv till idrottsdeltagande och moral i idrotten gällande regelöverträdelser, fair play och sportspersonship. Vidare studerades eventuella skillnader mellan spelare på elitnivå och spelare på lägre nivå och mellan män och kvinnor gällande undersöknings-områdena, personliga egenskaper, motiv och moral i idrotten. Dessutom studerades eventuella interaktionseffekter. Avslutningsvis studerades samband mellan de olika områdena. Totalt deltog 150 fotbollsspelare varav 67 var män och 83 var kvinnor.

Den här uppsatsen undersöker om IMF, genom sitt agerande under den finansiella krisen i Indonesien 1997-1998 gav upphov till moral hazard. Problemet analyseras dels kvalitativt genom att titta närmare på de förväntningar som IMF hade på den indonesiska staten och jämföra dessa med den faktiska utgången. Sammanfattning I det här arbetet har syftet varit att undersöka vilka delar det går att upptäcka inom de olika världsreligionerna att använda inom momentet etik och moral i skolans undervisning. Undersökningen har skett utifrån vad gymnasiets kursplan i religionskunskap uttrycker om momentet samt vad läroplanen nämner om ett etiskt förhållningssätt. För att uppnå syftet har en innehållsanalys av läromedel gjorts och därmed en analys av hur de olika världsreligionerna presenterar begrepp som etik/moral och livsfrågor. Detta har medfört en sammanställning av ett eventuellt material att använda inom religionsundervisningen med utgångspunkt i etik och moral. Metoden som använts är en innehållsanalys av både kvantitativ och kvalitativ art.

The purpose of this paper has been to reach a greater understanding in how moral inflicts social workers way of handling everyday situations. In what way, if in any way, moral comes to play a part in the making of decisions. In order to reach this understanding we have interviewed two different groups of social workers which we also later on came to compare . One of the groups contained six interviewees and the other group contained five interviewees. Both of these groups were in the ages between 27 ? 52.To shed some light over this phenomenon did we use two theoretical perspectives, first Kant?s morale theory and second, consequentialistic utilitarism theory.As a result from the interviews we?ve made, we came to an understanding that the meaning of morale and in what way it can be applied in the everyday work differs between these two professional groups.

The aim of this essay is to investigate the function and development of non-player characters (NPC) in the TV/computer game Dragon Age: Origins. The NPCs are analysed in order to see if their development is affected by the player character?s (PC) background and interactions. The game?s ethics is also investigated by studying how the NPCs treat the PC and what significance they give to his background and actions.The results show that the NPCs are affected by the PC?s interactions, and furthermore, that they are round characters, which is unusual in TV/computer games.
