Eudaimonia! : Martha Nussbaums aristoteliska försvar för en reformering av högre utbildning
This essay aims to examine Martha Nussbaum's proposal for a classical defense of reform in liberal education and her critique of utility thinking in higher education. I want to explore how Nussbaum uses history to create an ethical alternative that cultivates both moral and intellectual virtues, which she considers to be crucial for the survival of democracy. In examining Nussbaum's use of Aristotle, I focus on her work as a proposal for institutional implementation of an Aristotelian epistemology and the cultivation of the individual as an ethical political subject. This study highlights the epistemological, educational and political ideas that form the basis of Nussbaum's ideals. I intend, however, to go beyond a contextualizing reading and thus establish a dialogue with a radical intersubjectivity to respond to Nussbaum's ambitions to recognize human vulnerabilities as assets for reason.
Begreppet utanförskap. : En litteraturstudie.
Uppsatsen söker svar på frågan vad begreppet utanförskap innebär. För att få fram dess innebörd sker en analys av vad dess motsats innebär och hur urskiljandet sker. Den metod som används är en komparativ textanalys. Slutsatserna är att utanförskap innebär att individen inte finns på den marknad som övervakas och kontrolleras av statens administrativa lagstiftning. Lagstiftningen uttrycker inte någon moral utan är ett redskap för social kontroll och makt.
Motivation till personlig utveckling
Den, i olika forskningsartiklar, återkommande uppfattningen om att enperson som är autonomt orienterad är mer benägen till att utveckla enmotivation till personlig utveckling ledde till denna undersökning.Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur autonomi påverkar människortill motivation till personlig utveckling. Studien tar sin utgångspunkt iself-determination theory och dess underteori causality orientationstheory, med de tre orienteringarna kontrollerad, impersonell ochautonomi, vilka handlar om orsak till varför en person handlar på ettvisst sätt och effekten därav. De olika orienteringarna mättes med enenkät konstruerad efter general causality orientation scale ochmotivation till personlig utveckling mättes med egenkonstrueradefrågor. Enkäten lades ut på fyra olika sidor på Internet medförhoppning om att nå ett brett deltagande. Studien visade att denkontrollerade orienteringen var den av de tre orienteringarna sompåverkade människor i högst grad till motivation till personligutveckling.
Hedersrelaterade problem i en mindre kommun
Our purpose was to investigate which readiness, different sectors in a minor city has to meet honour-related problems. We wanted to investigate how they manage honour-related problems and how the co-operation in these cases is between different authorities. Our questions at issue were: Which knowledge's, experiences there are about the culture of honour, which resources has the authorities and how is the co-operation between different organisations work?We have collected present documentation and research about the subject. We made eight quality interviews with different persons within professions, as we understood, came in contact with cultures of honour.

The purpose of this master thesis is to investigate if the mobile library has a similar role as the public library. To study this further we intend to examine the value and function of the mobile library. Answers are sought to the following questions: Can the mobile library be seen as a public library in a smaller scale? How do the users experience the value and function of the mobile library? What does the library staff think of the value and function of the mobile library for the users? What would the consequences be if the service of the mobile libraries would not exist? The method used was qualitative interviews. The groups of respondents are mobile library users and library staff.
Kreditbedömning av små aktiebolag vid en slopad revisionsplikt
Revisionsplikt i små aktiebolag har debatterats flitigt i affärs- och fackpress i Sverige de senaste åren. Från 2007 är Sverige ensamt bland de gamla EU-länderna (innan utvidgningen 2004) att ha kvar revisionsplikten för samtliga aktiebolag.Utredningens syfte är att beskriva hur en slopad revisionsplikt kan påverka Handelsbankens och SEB:s kreditbedömning av små aktiebolag. För att uppfylla syftet har vi genomfört två intervjuer på respektive bank. Som teoretisk referensram för bankers kreditbedömning används agentteori. Där beskrivs hur asymmetrisk information mellan långivare och låntagare skapar risk för negativt urval (adverse selection) samt osäker lojalitet (moral hazard).

En analys av Schindlers list utifrån ett historiedidaktiskt perspektiv
Denna uppsats behandlar Steven Spielbergs film Schindlers list med utgångspunkt i de historiedidaktiska begreppen historiemedvetande och historiebruk. Arbetet baseras således på en analys av filmen. Utslaget av denna analys har blivit en diskussion kring dels specifika scener, dels hur filmen i sin helhet ger uttryck för historiebruk och på vad sätt ett historiemedvetande kan stimuleras. Av vikt har även varit att framhålla på vilket sätt filmen som narrativ kan stimulera ett historiemedvetande. Uppsatsen gör en ansats till att koppla samman de ovannämnda historiedidaktiska begreppen då historiebruk, vilket kan förstås som hur man använder sig av historia, påverkar ett historiemedvetande beroende på vad och hur den väljer att framställa det förflutna.

The question formulation for this work has been "is an ice-hockey audience influenced by music during time-outs in a game?". The method was to observe one period with Färjestads BK and Mora IK, but a recording was also made, together with a conversation with the arena DJ. From the recording, the audience reactions were graded from a given scale. The grades were compilated to a diagram that shows the audience reactions in relation to the time, from the first face-off to the final whistle.
