This report describes the scientific work of designing and manufacturing an intelligent controller module prototype for automobile trailer connections. The functions of the module are both to drive the lamps and detect failures. The module also contains functions to handle other functions of the trailer. To learn about controller Modules the group does extensive feasibility study.The group receives three already existing Modules, the functions of the three Modules are studied and tested in the lab, this is done too get a overview of the construction. The method used I called reversed engineering, a way of constructing by analyzing constructions already done.When the Modules are analyzed, the functions of the prototype are tested and designed without copying the analyzed Modules.

The present project was initiated with the aim to create pattern Modules for use in public environments. My intention was to let the properties, of the specific materials used, have a marked influence on the realisation of the final form. I also wanted to find a material, which is suitable from the perspective of sustainabilityand possibilities to create Modules from it. The work was initiated with a study of some candidate materials and many sketches before I finally made my choice. My decision was clear after a visit to the company Glasfabriken inKalmar.

The purpose of this study is to explain how the value of sawn wood changes when sawn wood are cut in 30 respective 60 cm lengths. The raw material into the saw mill will mainly be bucked in 30cm and 60 cm Modules. There will also be two alternatives where the timber will be bucked special lengths, 370, 490 and 550 cm but also in 490 and 550 cm.The method used for the study is to simulate both cutting and sawing the woods. For cutting the simulator Timan is used and for sawing the simulator Timberopt is used. When data is generatedfrom the simulators, calculations of some key figures is done and also how much the revenue need to be increased for the sawn wood in order to cover for the increased costs of changing sawn woodfrom 30 cm to 60 cm ModulesThe conclusion is that the single biggest reason, impacting the value of the sawn wood is the cutting at the saw mill.When going from 30 to 60 cm Modules, the impact will be that the customers to the saw mill must pay more to increase the revenue by at least 10% for the sawn wood in order to justifice the changein production.It is also possible to increase the value of the products further by bucking the timber in three lengths, 370, 490 and 550 cm, in order to get 12 % increase of the share of longer sawn wood (>= 480 cm)..

This report deals with prefabricated bathrooms and the advantage, during the production process, they have compared to ordinary produced bathrooms.The work is done together with the building company JM. The common task is to investigate if the manufactures, in spite of standardized design can meet the concept of JM, i.e. high flexibility and adjustment towards the customer. In JM they are doubtful to the method, as they did not yet worked with prefabricated Modules and think that the choises for the costumer will be limited.There will be a short resume of the progress of the bathrooms and its importance as sanitary and wellbeing.The recent problems with damage caused by damp in bathrooms. Konstruktion och byggnation av testfixtur för 10Gbit/s transpondermoduler

This thesis for the Master of Science degree was performed at Solectron Corporation in Norrköping. The background for the thesis was a need to develop and build two test fixtures to automatize testing and adjusting of transmitter Modules (TX-fixture) and receiver Modules (RX-fixture) which are head devices in DWDM-systems. The basic elements for the test fixtures are: Test board, switch board and DC/DC board. The main function of the test board is to handle communication between the transmitter and receiver Modules and supply voltage to these Modules. The test board was insufficient and modified with a microprocessor to handle the communication between the PC and the receiver module.

This paper describes the design and implementation of an automated build system for the JAS39A simulator FUS39A at HiQ:s offices in Arboga. The assignment was to automate the process in which Modules are built; the simulator is composed of a number of Modules which are built manually at the end of each week, this process takes about a day of manual labor. The system can automatically build a module as either a scheduled service or by manual invocation. The system contains functionality for reporting the build results to any given recipient by e-mail. The purpose of the system is to free up the time put into manually building the Modules for better suited tasks by automating the build of FUS39A.The assignment was split into two parts, an analysis part where information of the old system was gathered, tools and methods were chosen and the new system was designed.

Among the included parts in the boiler are cyclone, convection part andINTREX-chambers.

The Anybus CompactCom Modules are today using the Anybus NP30 processor. These Modules are used for communication between industrial machines and larger network protocols. The communication loads on these systems are increasing every day and the limiting factor for the system is the processor.HMS, the company that develops the Anybus CompactCom, has shown interest for a benchmark test between the old processor and a new processor, ARM Cortex-M3. This project includes that benchmark. To be able to get results that reflect reality a test environment was created to simulate Anybus CompactCom conditions.

This report present a working model for simulation of what happens to colors displayed on screens when they are observed through optical filters. The results of the model can be used to visually, on one screen, simulate another screen with an applied optical filter. The model can also produce CIE color difference values for the simulated screen colors. The model is data driven and requires spectral measurements for at least the screen to be simulated and the physical filters that will be used. The model is divided into three separate Modules or steps where each of the Modules can be easily replaced by alternative implementations or solutions.

The main purpose of this thesis has been to find a way to evaluate the soil parameters for the Total sounding method (TS), such as the inner friction angles and settlement Modules. This study only includes an analysis of soil profiles from the Stockholm region. The chosen location for the study is a proposed residential area east of Igelstaviken in Södertälje. Presently, the subject plot is located in a residential area and is also adjacent to a school area.Total sounding is originally a Norwegian soil testing method. The differences between the sounding methods (weight-, ram-, CPT-sounding) are for instance how the sound is driven into the ground and what kind of parameters that are registered.

Optimering av prestanda och utnyttjande av flertrådsteknik

The purpose of this thesis was to help the company Medius AB with optimization of selected parts in an existing system to minimize the execution time by implementing multithreading. The idea was to manipulate the code so that calculations could be executed at the same time. The main work in this thesis consisted of three optimizations. The first one was to reconstruct a big ?for-loop? so it would execute every loop's work in an own thread. The second optimization also was a reconstruct of a ?for-loop? so it could execute the work in different threads. The third and last optimization consisted of reconstructing a stored procedure on the database, so different parts of it each could be executed in an own thread to create data at the same time. To implement the optimizations Visual Basic .NET and its support for multithreading and connection-pools was used. The result of the optimizations meant that one of the Modules could be executed more efficiently and it was 12 % faster. The other Modules execution time was more efficient by 25 % faster. The meanings and requirements for this thesis are fulfilled by now letting the system make use of its resources in a better way..

Konstruktion av pallmagasin

Detta examensarbete har utförts åt företaget MH Modules AB. Företaget arbetar med att utveckla, tillverka och sälja materialhanteringsmoduler till maskin- och systembyggare utan egen produktidentitet. En materialhanteringsmodul kan bestå av rullbanor, bandtransportörer, kedjetransportörer, hissar, vinkelväxlar och pallmagasin. Syftet med arbetet var att utveckla ett nytt pallmagasin där pallar ska kunna lastas på och av på ett enkelt och driftsäkert sätt med hjälp av en handtruck.Målsättningen var att konstruera en lyftanordning med styrenhet. Efter att lyftanordningen och styrenheten var klara gjordes det en lämplig ram som uppfyller säkerhetskraven.Arbetet inleddes med att se över konkurrenternas och MH Modules egna framtagna pallmagasinen.
