This study of literature from the period 1920-1955 has shown that the profession of gardeners in Sweden went through several structural changes in the early and midst 20th century. The gardeners knowledge, which used to cover the whole horticultural spectra, was due to that no longer appreciated or useful. Prior the 1920?s the gardeners, especially the skilled craftsmen working for the upper-classes, were the ones who led progression in the horticultural field forward and their qualifications were many and diverse. Due to many factors, such as low economic and social status, functionalistic style and the fact that the branch were rationalized and modernized in general, lead up to a point where the gardener of old no longer fitted in, in the much more globalized and modern world of the 1950?s. .

This thesis aims to propose a plausible design and construction of the lost gable pediments of the Glassworks Villa in F?glavik, anno 1875. Through a combination of building inspections, photo analysis and 3D modeling, the researcher utilizes the combined results to digitally recreate the decoration that once adorned the gothic revival villa's gable, to serve as basis for its actual reconstruction. The study further highlights the use of modern technological tools, such as 3D modeling software, to further enhance the understanding of historical architectural elements. The researcher also emphasizes the challenges and considerations involved in preserving and reconstructing historical architectural details for future conservation endeavors..

Detta är ett 10 poängs arbete på C-nivå inom ämnet teknologi. Arbetet är skrivet inom institutionen för landskaps- och trädgårdsteknik på Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet i Alnarp. Syftet med arbetet är att undersöka vilka skador som kan uppkomma på betongdammar när vatten och betong står i kontakt med varandra. Målet med arbetet är att uppmärksamma betong som material vid anläggning av trädgårdsdammar. Arbetet inleds med en litteraturstudie där betong som material beskrivs, dess uppbyggnad och sammansättning av vatten, cement, ballast och tillsatsmedel. Därefter beskrivs de för betong vanligaste skadorna vilka är frostskador, armeringskorrosion (rostsprängning), kemiska angrepp och sulfat angrepp. Därefter genomförs tre intervjuer med personer som projekterar och sköter betongdammar i offentlig miljö för att undersöka deras erfarenhet av betongdammar.

Högskoleutbildningar på distans har blivit en allt vanligare studieform. De vanligaste orsakerna till att studenter väljer distansutbildning som tillvägagångssätt är att många har familj och barn, långt till högskolan eller att de helt enkelt vill arbeta vid sidan om sina studier. Från högskolans sida gäller det då att bygga upp ett pedagogiskt ramverk och att inspirera studenterna till den teknologi som erbjuds på den nätbaserade utbildningen. Därför kan det vara intressant att titta på vad som motiverar en student att vilja lära under de pedagogiska villkor som gäller på en distansutbildning. Syftet med denna studie var därför att söka kunskap och förståelse för vad distansstudenter upplever som studiemotivationshöjande faktorer i distans utbildningens genomförande.

This paper aims at shedding light on the effects of a broken psychological contract in terms of job satisfaction. In a qualitative field study, the author researches seven newly recruites employees about their expectations when starting their jobs at the rapidly growing, Swedish company Klarna. Using Herzbergs two-factor model of hygiene and motivation factors as well as modern motivation theory, i.e. self-determination theory, the study answers questions as to what makes a candidate choose a company and what factors motivates as well as demotivates the recruit at the job, in the onboarding phase. ITT Flygt tillverkar framförallt dränkbara pumpar och omrörare. Motorerna till Flygts pumpar levereras av elmotorverkstaden där tillverkning av statorer sker såväl med modern, högteknologisk lindningsutrustning som manuellt.
