Uppsatsen handlar om flickor, pojkar och teknik sett ur ett genusperspektiv. I undersökningen har 23 barn i åldrarna 4-5 år intervjuats kring vardagsteknik med utgångspunkt från två sagor berättade med flanoteknik. För att ge barnen en känsla för sagornas huvudpersoner användes dockor. Syftet var att se om det finns förebilder i sagor och i barnens närmiljö som påverkar deras intresse för teknik. I anslutning till detta gjordes barnintervjuer under videoinspelning.

This essay represents a chronological and contextual analysis of clay pipes that have been found in the urban settlement of Västergarn during seminary excavations between 2006 ? 2012, conducted by Gotland University. Clay pipes can be dated closely and are useful means for dating and interpreting archaeological contexts from the early modern period, such as house foundations. There have been excavated four house foundations in Västergarn with different sorts of clay pipes dating to the post-medieval period. Can they tell which people used them or which country they were produced? By discussing the meaning of clay pipes in early modern society on Gotland this essay tries to answer these questions..

I contacted the production company Salmonfox in the hope that they would have any projects that they needed help with. It showed that Salmonfox just started up an old project that they needed to complete. They wanted my help to edit some trailers and one crowdfundingfilm for the short film called, Captain Sweden (Kapten Sverige). Salmonfox are hopefully going to use the different trailers and crowdfundingfilm to promote the short film and get help with the funding to make a feature. The project began with a pilot study in which I made a time plan and a requirements plan, where the different requirements were set.

?Ritualen - att minnas? är ett arbete där jag bearbetat begagnade brukstextiler. Med utgångspunkt från en nyfikenhet på materialets förmåga att registrera minnen har jag undersökt plagg och tyger. Syftet med arbetet var att undersöka en känsla av närvaro i frånvaron av kropp. Arbetsprocessen var ett intuitivt prövande ochsökande efter en metod eller teknik med vars hjälp den känslan kunde uttryckas.Arbetet resulterade i tre objekt som tillkommit genom en teknik av noggrant avvägd upprepning, ett utsuddande och uppdelande av material.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka marknadsföringen inför högstadieelevernas gymnasieval och därigenom se vilka bilder som förmedlas av god vuxendom och dess genuskonstruktioner. Som bakgrund ligger marknadsliberalisering och livslångt lärande och den teoretiska grunden är socialkonstruktionism och postmodernism. Materialet är gymnasievalsinformation till årskurs nio i Norrköpings kommun och det har analyserats enligt diskursanalytisk metod. I materialet konstrueras vikten av att välja, vägen som metafor, flexibilitet som egenvärde, eftergymnasiala studier som norm, en essentialistisk människosyn samt tydliga bilder av vad som är manligt och kvinnligt där teknik, industri och fordon ses som manligt och frisör och florist som kvinnligt. Genom analysen har vi kunnat urskiljs hur en bra vuxen förväntas vara och vilka egenskaper som anses behövas eller är önskvärda i dagens samhälle.

English abstractTitle: Islam and the limitations of the public will of choice.The purpose of this paper have been to investigate how three modern Islamic theorists view the limitations of the public free will of choice based upon their interpretation of the Islamic theology and doctrine.The paper focuses to highlight how all three chosen Islamic theorist interpret the Islamic doctrine based upon my elected theses and more specifically pinpoint were the free will of choice ends, and Islam as a religion starts to take hegemony. The paper?s aim is to further an understanding that in the modern world and as a effect of increased literacy, Islam has been somewhat inclined to split into several Islamisms, based upon the variety of fatwa?s on the Islamic doctrine that is available online. Therefore it remains to the modern day Muslim, to individually decide whether they choose to follow the message of the Holy revelation in the Quran or trust a mufti?s fatwa in their everyday life as a Muslim.The material used and analyzed in this paper is prime source material.

I focus on the informants' television viewing and I compare this cross-generational, and in relation to other media use. Material/Method: The method I used in this thesis is qualitative interviews. My choice fell on this method because I believe it to be the most suitable for obtaining the data needed.

Ett steg i processen är optimeringav transmissionsnätet och investering i fler förnyelsebara energikällor, till exempel vinkraftparker.Vinkraftparker med enbart likströmsöverföring har lägre effektförluster än motsvarande växelström. Föratt ytterligare minska förluster i likströmsnät behöver spänningen ökas med DC/DC-omriktare. Syftet medstudien är att uppskatta vilken effekt en DC/DC-omriktare kan uppnå om den placeras i en 20? containervid botten av ett vindkraftverk, detta under förutsättning att Modern teknik används.Studien presenterar en modell av DC/DC-omriktare i en container och beskriver hur beräkningarna harutförts.

This essay examines two modern retellings of the classic fairy tale of Snow White and the seven dwarfs in the version of the brothers Grimm. By analyzing the differences in the modern version to the more original one my aim is to be able to see how these objects of popular culture are affected by the type of society they are created within.In my two-step analysis I have first used the theory of narratology to find what changes had been made in the two retellings. Here I have the help of several key concepts of the theorists Vladimir Propp, Gérard Genette and David Bordwell. The narrative differences, which turned out to concern the characters mostly, I have then sought to explain in the light of the sociological theories of Zygmunt Bauman regarding liquid modernity and liquid fears..

Denna studie har genomförts för att ta reda på vad som har påverkat studenter i deras val av teknisk universitetsutbildning. Undersökningen är baserad på åtta intervjuer med studenter som läser vid olika tekniska utbildningar på Uppsala universitet. I intervjuerna har studenternas uppfattningar och upplevelser av undervisningen i grundskolans årskurser fyra, fem och sex undersökts och studenterna har även fått beskriva sitt tekniska intresse och reflektera över ursprunget till detta. Resultaten ställs mot den forskning som finns om vikten av NO och teknik i de tidiga åren på grundskolan, lärarens roll och föräldrarnas utbildning och yrke. De åtta studenterna som har intervjuats i detta arbete har alla minst en förälder med en universitetsutbildning på tre år.

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to examine if the realistic youth novels of today can provide support and inspiration for its readers with the purpose of dealing with own difficulties. I have examined four Swedish novels from 2006 and studied in what way and from whom the young fictive women get advice and support. In the background section of the essay I have made studies of how it is to be a young woman in modern society. It also covers a historical perspective of the modern youth novel and presents studies based upon reading and reader-response theory of young people.

Abstract ?The Vampire from past to present?. This essay studies and compares the early historical Vampire as it is presented in some of the Western Europe countries, primarily Greece, but also Romania and how their descriptions of the Vampire have inspired the portrait of vampires in modern films and literature. The essay aims to answer the questions:How has the historical, traditional, European Vampire developed through the centuries into the modern Vampire of today? Which original facts and perceptions about the Vampire from a Christian and pre-Christian point of view can be observed in the modern Vampire, as it is presented in the chosen films and furthermore, can any new ideas be observed in the films?By studying Vampire literature and poems throughout the centuries, a very interesting picture appears.

In this paper Mona Hatoums installation Corps étranger is discussed via a post structuralized method based on associative and semiotic comparisons with vanitas, a post-modern self-portrait, and as a representative for modern visual art. The analyze touches upon pornography, science fiction and the quest for scientific conquest in outer and inner space. Theoretical references are Foucault, Freud, Lacan, Barthes, Dolar, Said and Virilio. Hatoum makes the observer a voyageur with the aid of the latest medical technology, endoscope, which gives her the opportunity to make an introvert self-portrait when she films her own throat and rectum. But at the same time she makes the portrait of us all.
