Modeling and simulation is growing ever more important in the development of new products. This thesis describes the use of Hopsan for hydraulic modeling and its use in conjunction with Simulink with the intent of using the model in a hardware-in-the-loop setup. A sensor layer has been created in Simulink to emulate all the internal sensors in a modern forklift. The details of using legacy C-code instead of a hardware MCU for a fully simulated environment, software-in-the-loop has been outlined. There are two major routes one can follow implementing software-in-the-loop, exporting the C-functions to CAPL via a export layer or creating an s-function in Simulink.

The purpose of this study is to examine how well the teaching of physical education meets the needs of a future life in the building and construction industry. In order to answer the survey's purpose, we have carried interviews with teachers for the subject Physical education and health as well as with teachers for the Building- and construction program in order to through their experience gain understanding of common health problems in the profession, but also to gain a deeper understanding of the importance of the subject Physical education and health for this profession. We have reported and described previous research and then analyzed it during our processing of collected data material. The result of the interviews showed that the teachers as far as possible are trying to adjust the lessons to suit this practical program. They also indicate several aspects to consider in order to further customize the education for students in the Building- and construction program.

Ett konstmuseum på 3000 m² i Uppsala vid Fyrisån. En utmejsling i det kulturella och historiska stadslandskapet i Uppsala där besökaren kan vandra längs museumet alla tider på dygnet. Genom att ge små glimtar lockas besökaren att besöka de samlingar av modern och klassisk konst samt den samling av grafiska tryck som finns på utställning. Warehouses are a key aspect of modern supply chains and play a vital role in the success or failure of businesses today. Figures from the USA indicate that the capital- and operating costs of warehouses represent about 22 % of a company?s logistics costs while figures from Europe indicate 25 % (Baker & Canessa, 2009). Because warehousing is such an important function within a company, the authors chose to focus on this in their thesis. The purpose of this thesis has been to examine the significance of a Warehouse Management System (WMS) and item identification with attention to logistic efficiency.

The purpose of this thesis is to find evidence if cult houses existed on Gotland during the Bronze Age. The cult house is a common term in modern Bronze Age archaeology and the general definitions of cult house are discussed and why cult houses seem to be absent on Gotland. In this thesis the cult house are discussed as a phenomenon, and the possibilities to find Bronze Age cult houses on Gotland are evaluated by making comparisons between Gotland houses with already defined cult houses from the Swedish mainland. Syftet med studien är att redovisa nya forskningsresultat gällande objektiv utvärdering av hörapparater med hjälp av hörselgångsmätning, samt att beskriva en modern, evidensbaserad och kliniskt användbar metod för de vanligaste typerna av elektro-akustiska hörapparater med olika typer av insats. Studien består av en allmän litteraturstudie som beskriver tidigare rekommendationer samt en systematisk litteraturstudie där nya rön gällande metodiken vid hörselgångsmätning presenteras. Istället för att få standardutseendet på sina D-uppsatser ville en avgångsklass på en Mediedesignutbildning göra en bok där de samlade sina uppsatser. Denna bok fick en ny form som arbetades fram i den här uppsatsen. Huvudfokus låg på läsbarhet och frågor om estetiken i typsnitt och layout samt om det var möjligt att behålla seriositeten samtidigt som den känns kreativ och modern. 18 personer var med i försöksgruppen som bland annat fick rangordna de tre typsnitten Times, Sabon och Verdana för det aktuella ändamålet. Sammantaget var Sabon det typsnitt som visade sig vara mest lämpligt för en publikation av det här slaget.

The purpose of this study has been to investigate students? perceptions of the content inthe Swedish subject and current syllabus for Swedish in the third year of uppersecondary school. The purpose has also been to analyze if students are familiar with theaims they are working towards, how explicit they are and if they have any significancefor the students? results and motivation. This investigation is based on a socio-culturalperspective and was made with help of a quantitative method by using questionnaires,but has also been studied to some extent qualitatively, which have been analyzed from astudent angle.The analysis of the results shows that the students have very good perception ofwhat they should study in Swedish year three in upper secondary school.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att beskriva hur lärare och ansvariga uppfattar de lärande som sker i ett fritidshem som är inspirerat av Reggio Emilias arbetssätt. Jag har använt mig av en kvalitativ metod och genomfört två intervjuer med en verksam pedagog samt en rektor för ett specifikt fritidshem i Piteå. Intervjuerna genomfördes under april 2007 på fritidshemmet. Resultatet av min studie visar att den Reggio Emilia inspirerade pedagogiken svarar väl mot en modern kunskapssyn. Norconsult AB has developed a solarhousing concept, a house designed for the warm climate in the Middle East andwith large quantities of solar panels installed. The cooling system for the house was designed in an earlier report, the purpose of this thesis is to investigate the possibility of short and long term storage of thermal energy via an underground energy storage volume.Two different designs of the storage and three different filling materials have been integrated into a model to simulate different cases. The first design consisted of pipes installed in the ground, without insulation. The second design consisted of an insulated concrete box installed to prevent thermal energy from the surrounding soil to flow towards the lower temperature regions within the storage. The three different filling materials were dry saudi sand, water saturated saudi sand and the filling material used by the client for energy storage in Sweden.The results from the simulations show that neither of the designs, regardless of the filling material, managed to extract enough thermal energy from the house to the ground to uphold the demands of indoor climate.

In modern health care, the quality registry is anexcellent tool to monitor everyday work. Collected data forms a foundation, presented as online reports, from which local work efforts to refine care quality can be performed. All reports are coded manually by specially trained developers. This is a tedious process and hence becomes a bottleneck in the strive for improvement.This thesis evaluates whether an extended way of dealing with reports can fit into the existing work situation, with main focus on the idea of creating custom reports directly within a quality registry. It provides a set of conclusions regarding today's usage of reports as well as the users' general and specific needs within the area.
