Sverige är i ekonomiska sammanhang ett litet land, en begränsad hemmamarknad tvingar företag utomlands för att möjliggöra en expansion. Sverige är internationellt känt som en designnation och uttrycken ?Swedish Grace? samt ?Swedish Modern? har blivit synonymt med kvalitet, säkerhet och nytänkande. Problemet som denna uppsats ämnar att undersöka är i vilken utsträckning svenska design-företag anpassar eller standardiserar svenskheten vid en utlandsetablering.Syftet med uppsatsen är att med en jämförande studie utvärdera och analysera hur tre stycken små och ett stort svenskt designföretag väljer marknadsföringsstrategivid en utlandsetablering. Vi har ingående studerat dessa fyra företag och datainsamlingen har skett med hjälp av kvalitativa intervjuer med representanter från företagen.Vår undersökning har visat att valet att anpassa eller standardisera svenskheten är kunskap- och erfarenhetsstyrt, men även beroende av företagets storlek.

Ground construction has to a large extent been dominated by traditional meth-ods during the last 50 years. Although the construction has been changed meanwhile innovations are not accepted. In collaboration with NCC Ltd Region South, I have examined a modern con-struction methodology that has been developed by NCC for future large pro-jects. The method is divided into two central phases. Phase 1 is? Single Pro-duction? which is a preliminary period for ground constructions to come.

This thesis is about a potential trade-off between integrity and long-term usability in the choice of file formats for preservation of text documents. Five common formats are discussed: plain text, PDF/A, Office Open XML Document, Open Document Text, and Markdown. The formats are compared with respect to four criteria related to integrity and usability and to the records continuum model: support by widely used software, stability, rendering of contents and reusability.It is concluded that no single format is optimal with respect to all four criteria, when it comes to preserving typical documents in a modern environment, with more or less complex formatting and document structure. Therefore, the feasiblity of using two or more formats for preservation of a single document (e.g. PDF/A combined with Markdown and/or Office Open XML) is discussed.

The Swedish government ratified on May 1 2009 an amendment of marital law, resulting in same-sex marriage becoming legalized. With the rights of the Christian Swedish state church to officiate weddings originating from the same law, the church was thereby faced with two options: Either officially include same-sex couples in the Christian concept of holy matrimony and keep the right to officiate weddings; or give up the right to officiate weddings altogether. An official decision to accept the terms was reached on October 22 2009, but not without being preceded by an agitated medial debate.This research attempts to analyze the arguments of the debate in three stages: In the first stage the arguments are categorized according to their respective ideological standpoint. In the second stage these categories are examined from post-modern, social constructivist and socialization theory perspectives. Based on this, the third stage sees the arguments analyzed from a viewpoint based in the Copenhagen school concept of securization.The research concludes that the debate does not only simply feature two sides with differences of opinion; but rather that the arguments of the two opposing sides are founded in a common view of the other side as a fundamental threat to ones conception of a sound society..

This study aims to investigate and describe the direction of the ideological development of the Swedish gymnastics association Gymniska Förbundet. Between 1928 and 1932, this organization transformed from a purely gymnastic and cultural association into an influential platform for the production of Swedish nationalist ideology. Based on theories of National Socialism?s formation within modern society, the analysis focus on the conditions regulating Gymniska Förbundets relation to modernity. Thus the study examines the association?s ideas in relationship to the concept of modernity.

This study is an attempt to investigate religious perceptions and its development, function and connection to religious practise within the Swedish extreme metal scene. This is performed mainly by a qualitative method of investigation, studying lyrical content published on a number of extreme metal albums, thereafter relating the lyrical progression to the progession of the scene as a whole and also to the development of individual religious belief and practise.The lyrically expressed manifestations of religiosity within the extreme metal scene prove to be related to religious practise in some cases, most visibly in the Christian parts of the scene.The study also indicates that development of religious expression often is evident regardless of religious preference. This development also regularly relates to an increase in musical evolution and prowess often achieved with increased age and maturity.Musically and lyrically, the extreme metal scene displays transgressive attributes which assist both individual and group in the process of creating identity, meaning and individuality.Experiencing extreme metal, in concert or in the privacy of one´s own home, can be one way of perceiving spirituality in this modern age..

För att företag ska överleva så måste de ta hand om sina befintliga kunder såväl som att attrahera nya. CRM eller Customer Relationship Management är en benämning på ett synsätt eller en strategi som används för att förbättra relationen till kunderna. När modern teknologi som Internet och e-mail används för att uppnå målen med CRM kallas det electronic Customer Relationship Management eller e-CRM. Syftet med vår studie har varit att undersöka hur företag använder CRM och e-CRM för att förbättra relationen till sina kunder. För att uppnå detta syfte har en fallstudie gjorts på Handelsbanken.

Kombinerad sim- och sporthall belägen i sydligaste delen av Mellanbergsparken på gränsen mellan Hägerstensåsen och Västertorp i sydvästra Stockholm. Projektet handlar dels om anläggningens placering och roll i sin kontext - i förhållande till den befintliga centrumbildningen kring Hägerstensåsen med dess tidstypiska form och struktur. I förhållande till parkmiljön i Mellanbergsparken och dess funktioner samt parkmiljön i ett större sammanhang. Samt i förhållande till stråken på och i närheten av platsen, däribland inte minst den hårt trafikerade Södertäljevägen och de problem och möjligheter som detta medför. Dels om anläggningens egna inre logik, de krav som ställs  på en modern, tillgänglig anläggning av detta slag och sambandet mellan de olika aktivitetsslagen inom byggnaden och de eventuella synergier som kan uppstå som resultat av detta. Samt hur verksamheterna inne i anläggningen samverkar med platsen och dess förutsättningar för att generera lokalisering, tematiska samband mellan inne och ute och utformning av allt från bärande system till detaljer. .

In Sweden and in the rest of the world we face the problem how to create a sustainable development. At the same time the Swedish million program, a housing program made in the 1960:s and 1970:s, is facing a renewal due to lack of maintenance during many years. An attempt to join these two interests has been made in the residential area of GÃ¥rdsten north of Gothenburg. This paper is a case study to review the project and its approach to the sustainability concept. The purpose is to spread knowledge about the problems that can arise. By studying documentation about the reconstruction I have analyzed the approach that has been used. The housing company?s starting point was user participation and an intention to make the changes visible.

Denna uppsats ämnar undersöka hur genus reproduceras och framställs i sju skrivna utlåtandena som producerats på familjeutredningsenheten Liljan. Bearbetningsmetoden som har använts är diskursanalys. Uppsatsen baseras på två huvudteorier. Dessa är kritisk diskursanalys som har en stark företrädare i Norman Fairclough och genusteori som bottnar i Yvonne Hirdmans teorier kring genussystem och skapandet av genus. Resultatet visar att modern antas ta huvudansvar för barnet/barnen och samtidigt säkerställa relationen till fadern samt kompensera för faderns eventuella bristande föräldraförmåga.

This essay deals with the subject of communication through Facebook. In this survey we studied 100 youths from Karlstad and their communication habits and behavior patterns on Facebook. The social network site Facebook has since its start in 2004 made a mark in modern communication. Today in 2010 the site has more than 500 million users. This paper wants to study what happens to other types of communication.

Sara Lidman?s second novel Hjortronlandet (1955) unfolds in the north of Sweden in the early 20th century. It describes the progress of modernity and the conflicting interests of an old local culture and a new more ?civilised? one. The two cultures are constituted by different value systems and in the novel they are represented by two neighbour communities.

The purpose of this study was to investigate young teenagers 13-16 reading habits and attitudes concerning todays modern teenage literature especially written for the young teenagers. The study also includes the readers apprehension of the literature and how the target group is reached. The study is based on results from questionnaires, interviews and by compiling summaries of literature relevant to this study. Earlier research has been compared with results from this study. Reflections made by teachers and librarians concerning the youths reading habits are an integral part of the study.

Approximately 20% of the milk within the udder of a cow is stored in the cistern and immediately available for milk removal, while activation of the milk ejection reflex is required for removing the remaining milk stored in the alveolar compartment. The aim of this literature review is to describe, evaluate and consider implications of the three different suckling activities that the calf displays during a suckling bout. In terms of milking, these phases are represented by pre-stimulation, stimulation during milking and post-stimulation. Pre-stimulation is commonly performed in order to induce the milk ejection reflex, whereby the hormone oxytocin is released and the alveoli in the secretory tissue are contracted. Time requirements regarding pre-stimulation must be considered in relation to lactation stage and milking interval.

Intresset för de naturvetenskapliga ämnena tycks under de senare åren falnat hos svenska ungdomar. En rådande uppfattning kring denna företeelse är att den grundas i de naturvetenskapliga ämnenas abstraktion, komplexitet och kunskapsmässiga omfång. Denna studie fokuserar på hur genetikområdet framställs inom tre läroböcker avsedda för biologikurs A.Genetikområdet uppvisar samtliga av ovanstående egenskaper vilka anses vara bakomliggande denna avkylande inverkan på elevers intresse. Studien fokuserar medelst en läromedelsanalys innehållandes diskursanalytiska inslag hur ämnesområdets problematiska egenskaper materialiseras och eventuellt motverkas inom modern pedagogisk text. Från studiens redovisade resultat kan vissa gemensamma drag urskiljas i den granskade litteraturen.
