Den här uppsatsen är skriven inom ramen för ämnet Krigsvetenskap under författarens studier på Yrkesofficersprogrammet 2006-2009 till arméteknisk officer. I Ammunitions- och minröjning i modern konflikt ges läsaren genom deskriptiv metod en exposé över ammunitions- och minröjningens grunder, historia och nutid. Uppsatsens generella syften är att avhandla problematik som svenska ammunitions- och minröjare i sitt yrkesutövande idag kan ställas inför. Och hur delar av den tekniska organisationen och teknisk utrustning för detektion, lokalisering och klassificering av minor, Explosive remnants of war (ERW), Improvised explosive device (IED) och försåt kan bidra till att lösa denna problematik. Författaren genomför utifrån sina intervjuer och litteraturstudier prediktioner av den kommande utvecklingen på området.

Att gestalta med ljud inom landskapsarkitektur kan ses som relativt ovanligt. Ljudets inverkan på människor och hur detta påverkar utemiljöers karaktär har det dock experimenterats med sedan antikens Grekland. Man använde sig av olika ljudinstallationer som producerade ljud med hjälp av naturens krafter ? luft och vatten. Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka vilka ljudinstallationer som har använts i historien samt visa exempel på hur de kan användas i modern tid.

Vi lever i ett mångkulturellt samhälle där kulturmöten är en del av vardagen. Vi ska bli lärare och eftersom litteratur har en central roll i skolan anser vi det därför vara viktigt att vara medvetna om vilket budskap barnlitteratur sänder. Syftet med vårt arbete har därför varit att undersöka hur mångkultur skildras i barnlitteratur. Vi frågade oss vilka värden som formuleras, i vilka fall mångkultur skildras samt om barn kan identifiera sig med karaktärerna i böckerna. Vårt syfte var inte att ge ett konkret och generellt svar på hur mångkultur skildras utan hur den kan skildras.

In Sweden, we have a limited area available, and with the present development with increasing market oil prices, and enormous forces on the renewable energy sources, we need every hectare possible to protect the output of the forests. So with this in mind, many people are now considering how to increase the production of the forests that are already available. A part of production increases is to manage the existing forests, and not to allow this area to go to cultivation or become marshland. We manage our forests in a way that benefits the environment, and we consider that our working practice over the years has shown us to be correct and well functioning. A part of our way of producing forests is to ensure that we have functioning drainage systems in the forest holdings which we administer. The responsible at Holmen Skog requested a good method to make inventories of the drainage systems of Holmen forests. This Degree Project is about ways to identify and implement drainage systems with modern methods. It deals with authorities regulations, and how they operate in different counties.

Det vi vill undersöka i denna studie är huruvida de nya moderna kommunikationsmetoderna kan hjälpa till att påverka sociala åtgärder som sociala rörelser. Det visar sig att de sociala rörelserna är nära kopplade till användningen av modern kommunikationsteknik såsom exempelvis mobiltelefoni och användning av internet, specifikt sociala nätverkssajter, när vi studerar protesterna som pågår i både Syrien, men även resten av arabvärlden under denna tidsperiod. Detta visades även när vi genomförde våra observationer på webbsidorna som mobiliserar dessa möten. Det resultatet vi fick fram var att de nya kommunikationsmetoderna och den nya utvecklade tekniken har bidragit till de kollektiva åtgärderna mellan individerna, inte minst i Syrien men även resten av arabländerna, om inte resten av hela världen. Dessa tekniska metoder har bidragit till informationsspridningen kring de pågående upploppen i Syrien där de även har fått större möjligheter att organisera, dokumentera, mobilisera och även rekrytera medlemmar till de sociala åtgärderna.

Studies of modern communication media such as Cell Phones and so called Instant Messengers are popular today. This study focused on these modern techniques, focused on parents as a target group and on what is important for them in everyday communication.By exploratory using three focus groups it became clear that the children, and the link to them was the absolute most important thing for the parents. It became clear that this link to a great extent today exists through the mobile phone.In a following study a Mobile Instant Messenger called My Friends was introduced. It was used by two families during two weeks to see how it would change the communication within the family. The focus was to see how problems with availability were handled, it turned out that:My friends had a more obvious way of indicating availability than the Cell Phone had.

I dagens samhälle gäller det att bygga upp en organisation som har ett starkt varumärke. Vikten av att bygga ett starkt varumärke är en förutsättning för att kunna behålla och attrahera ny arbetskraft.Studien har genomförts på en kommun i Sverige där vi har undersökt hur kommunen arbetar med frågor som arbetsgivarpolicy och värdeord. Med hjälp av teoretiker som Senge och Argyris diskuterar vi kommunens vision om att vara en lärande organisation. Storstadskommunen arbetar efter en ny arbetsgivarpolicy och en uppsättning värdeord, där kommunen uppmuntrar sina anställda till ett kontinuerligt lärande.Vi vill med denna studie ta reda på hur arbetsgivarpolicyn påverkar kommunen som organisation samt vilken påverkan dessa uppsatta värdeord har på kommunens varumärke.

The aim of this Bachelor´s thesis is to investigate how library statistics, performance measurement and indicators represent the modern public library activity. During the last decades the public library has gone through a lot of changes. Information overall has increased and new technology has been introduced into the library. This new development has had effects on the library users. The statistics reported to the Statens kulturråd (National Arts Council) has not changed in the same way.

Since the seventies and the publishing of speculative popular science books like The Tao of Physics by Fritjof Capra and The self-aware universe by Amit Goswami, the idea that quantum physics resonates with spirituality has become the topic of hundreds of books and movies.The quantum-spiritual discourse has three distinct ways to approach quantum physics in its discussion on spirituality: The parallelistic approach which emphasizes the similarities between eastern philosophies and modern physics, the monistic-idealistic approach which tells us that mind is the foundation of matter and the scientific spiritual approach which tries to explain spiritual claims scientifically. In the quantum-spiritual discourse, quantum physical phenomena (e.g. non-locality and entanglement) are being called upon to validate metaphysical statements. The primary assumption of the discourse is that the shift of paradigm due to the establishment of modern physics also is a shift of paradigm of spirituality.With the object to examine the common claims made in the discourse, cross-references between spiritual arguments and facts of quantum physics are being made.
