This study aims to analyze the effects of the proposal regarding mandatory reporting for undocumented individuals within the Swedish public sector and how this potentially affects leaders in their efforts to motivate their employees to comply with this requirement, which is considered ethically charged. The primary focus is to understand how these leaders can motivate their employees considering legal requirements that are both legally binding and ethically sensitive. By interviewing leaders from various sectors within the public domain in multiple Swedish municipalities, this case study seeks to highlight the challenges arising from the amalgamation of legal mandates and ethical dilemmas. Its goal is to provide insights that can support these leaders in their complex decision-making regarding such issues. The study addresses theoretical aspects such as change management and critical organizational theory. The study's findings indicate that political decisions play a pivotal role in the processes of change within public operations. Resistance to change varies and takes various forms.

Historiska ljudinstallationer och deras användning i modern tid

Att gestalta med ljud inom landskapsarkitektur kan ses som relativt ovanligt. Ljudets inverkan på människor och hur detta påverkar utemiljöers karaktär har det dock experimenterats med sedan antikens Grekland. Man använde sig av olika ljudinstallationer som producerade ljud med hjälp av naturens krafter ? luft och vatten. Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka vilka ljudinstallationer som har använts i historien samt visa exempel på hur de kan användas i modern tid.

Hamsa, Pirjo, Danilo och Anna : En studie om hur mångkultur skildras i tio moderna barnböcker

Vi lever i ett mångkulturellt samhälle där kulturmöten är en del av vardagen. Vi ska bli lärare och eftersom litteratur har en central roll i skolan anser vi det därför vara viktigt att vara medvetna om vilket budskap barnlitteratur sänder. Syftet med vårt arbete har därför varit att undersöka hur mångkultur skildras i barnlitteratur. Vi frågade oss vilka värden som formuleras, i vilka fall mångkultur skildras samt om barn kan identifiera sig med karaktärerna i böckerna. Vårt syfte var inte att ge ett konkret och generellt svar på hur mångkultur skildras utan hur den kan skildras.

The focus of this essay is on a political party that was founded in Sweden in 1904. Today, we known it as Moderata Samlingspartiet. Historically, this party has transitioned through multiple phases which have included a change of name and also a change of substance in the area of trade policy. The party that was cheering globalisation at the 2006 congress had its roots in protectionism and had been founded as a strict protectionist organisation. The question raised here is what has caused this dramatic change in the trade politic?In addressing this important question, I have used both organization and party strategy theories to identify the main underlying reasons.

Chefen som normsändare : En kvalitativ studie ur chefs - och personalperspektiv

The aim of our study is to explore which norms that exists in the home care service, who is sending those norms, how are they maintained and how do they affect the interactions between staff and manager? We want to deep en our knowledge about home care service as an organization and increase our understanding for the psychosocial work environment and also the importance of leadership. We mean to read the organizational culture that exists which allows us to deal with the values that influence the behavior in the organization.The study is based on a qualitative method. The data consists of two focus group interviews, one with managers from the home care service - organization and one with staff from the same organization. T he interview with the managers consisted of five participants and the corresponding figure for the second interview with the staff was eight participants.The theoretical viewpoints have been communication - theory, organizational theory and Foucault´s th eory of power.Our result indicate that norms are something that unconsciously controls us and that we have learned that there are consequences when you step out of what is normative for the group.

Kommunikation under en medicinsk simuleringsövning, simuleringsövningar förbättrar teamarbetet.

SAMMANFATTNINGIntroduktionKommunikationen i ett vårdteam har stor betydelse för samarbetet kring en skadad patient. När kommunikationen brister kan det leda till sämre omhändertagande av en traumapatient. Ledaren för teamet har en betydande roll för teamarbetet. På Försvarsmedicincentrum i Göteborg tränas teamen med medicinsk simulering med fokus på teamarbete.SyfteSyftet var att undersöka hur kommunikationen erfors och påverkade samarbetet inom teamet under en medicinsk simuleringsövning.MetodFokusgruppintervjuer genomfördes av teamen efter en övning i medicinsk fullskalesimulering. Frågorna var semistrukturerade.

Metodutveckling för planering och genomförande av dikesrensning med moderna metoder

?Development of methods for the planning and implementation of ditch clearing with modern methods?, is a long title for an exam work but that is what this report describes. In Sweden, we have a limited area available, and with the present development with increasing market oil prices, and enormous forces on the renewable energy sources, we need every hectare possible to protect the output of the forests. So with this in mind, many people are now considering how to increase the production of the forests that are already available. A part of production increases is to manage the existing forests, and not to allow this area to go to cultivation or become marshland. We manage our forests in a way that benefits the environment, and we consider that our working practice over the years has shown us to be correct and well functioning. A part of our way of producing forests is to ensure that we have functioning drainage systems in the forest holdings which we administer. The responsible at Holmen Skog requested a good method to make inventories of the drainage systems of Holmen forests. This Degree Project is about ways to identify and implement drainage systems with modern methods. It deals with authorities regulations, and how they operate in different counties.

Modern teknologi i dagens samhälle och revolutioner

Det vi vill undersöka i denna studie är huruvida de nya moderna kommunikationsmetoderna kan hjälpa till att påverka sociala åtgärder som sociala rörelser. Det visar sig att de sociala rörelserna är nära kopplade till användningen av modern kommunikationsteknik såsom exempelvis mobiltelefoni och användning av internet, specifikt sociala nätverkssajter, när vi studerar protesterna som pågår i både Syrien, men även resten av arabvärlden under denna tidsperiod. Detta visades även när vi genomförde våra observationer på webbsidorna som mobiliserar dessa möten. Det resultatet vi fick fram var att de nya kommunikationsmetoderna och den nya utvecklade tekniken har bidragit till de kollektiva åtgärderna mellan individerna, inte minst i Syrien men även resten av arabländerna, om inte resten av hela världen. Dessa tekniska metoder har bidragit till informationsspridningen kring de pågående upploppen i Syrien där de även har fått större möjligheter att organisera, dokumentera, mobilisera och även rekrytera medlemmar till de sociala åtgärderna.

Hot, våld och trakasserier : En studie om handlingsutrymme, politiska ledare och demokrati

Studies have shown that politicians are significantly more likely to become victims of violent crime than other citizens in Sweden. In fact increasing political rank and engagement are directly proportionate to increased risk for violence. Threat towards politicians is not only dangerous to the individuals involved but also to the democratic system as a whole.Political scientists the world over have done a lot of research on democracy, but I have been unable to find a single method or theory that examines how violence, threat and harassment affect political leaders and democratic systems.The aim of this study is to expand the existing model made by Tommy Möller, professor in political science. In his model he presents 11 factors that affect political leaders ability to act. My aim is to develop his model by adding a 12 th factor ?violence, threat and harassment?.

Svensk Krigarkultur ? En samexisterande subkultur i Försvarsmakten?

The study seeks to clarify a cultural change in the armed forces (FM). The study is based on the hypothesis that repeated operations in war-like environment, where the FM sends professional combat units, develop a warrior culture. The empirical results indicate that there is an existing warrior culture at all three units surveyed.The subculture is verified by the constants of western warrior culture described in theory. Mobiltelefonen som social artefakt inom familjen : en studie med föräldrarna i fokus

Studies of modern communication media such as Cell Phones and so called Instant Messengers are popular today. This study focused on these modern techniques, focused on parents as a target group and on what is important for them in everyday communication.By exploratory using three focus groups it became clear that the children, and the link to them was the absolute most important thing for the parents. It became clear that this link to a great extent today exists through the mobile phone.In a following study a Mobile Instant Messenger called My Friends was introduced. It was used by two families during two weeks to see how it would change the communication within the family. The focus was to see how problems with availability were handled, it turned out that:My friends had a more obvious way of indicating availability than the Cell Phone had.

Ledarskapsprogram för innovation

 Since the 28thof May the project to develop an internal Innovation Leadership Program (ILP)on Accenture has been running and came to an end in November the same year. The taskwas formed into a master thesis and given to two students at the Royal Institute ofTechnology in Sweden.Since the start the content and structure of the ILP has been established based on the resultsof a theoretical study, a gap analysis and an external and internal benchmarking. The theoreticalstudy focused on articles, books and lectures about innovation, creativity and pedagogy. Subjectssuch as leadership, motivation, reflection and coaching were studied as well, but in a smaller scale.The gap analysis consisted of eleven interviews with people from different career levels withinAccenture and the goal was to establish the view of innovation and creativity among the employees.The interviews also asked about the knowledge the participants had about Technology Lab in orderto get insight of how to improve their communication and cooperation with people in client projects.Internally a similar program was studied called Minority Leadership program, whom will not bedescribed further in this report, to get inspiration. The external benchmarking was conducted onStanford and was very successful.

Orsaksfaktorer till personalomsättning i fastighetsmäklarbranschen : Med fokus på ledarskapets betydelse

Syfte: Personalomsättning är ett omfattande problem i fastighetsmäklarbranschen. Eftersom vi utbildar oss till fastighetsmäklare, är studien av intresse för oss då vi vill få insikt i personalomsättning och vilken betydelse ledarskapet har för medarbetarna. -          Syftet med vår studie är att undersöka hur ledarskapet kan påverka personalomsättningen inom fastighetsmäklarbranschen i Sverige.Metod: Vi har använt oss av en kvalitativ metod. Datainsamlingen har utförts i form av semistrukturerade intervjuer. Vi har utfört totalt 16 intervjuer, fördelat på 11 medarbetare och 4 ledare. 14 av intervjuerna har utförts face-to-face, och två har skett via telefon.

Omfattande animationsarbete i 3D-miljö

Med ordet 'omfattande' försöker vi indikera att projektet har inkluderat de flesta aspekter som arbetas med i modern 3D-animerad film. Vi har grävt ner oss i begrepp så som modellering, texturering, UVW, benriggning, skinning & morphing varav alla har spelat in en viktig roll vårat animationsarbete..
