Sweden has an environmental goal to achieve until the year 2020. To achieve this goal the construction business has to take an initiative to use the modern techniques that are available to lower the energy consumption I buildings. There?s also a debate going on today regarding the energy demands set by the Swedish government through Boverket, some communities throughout Sweden thinks that the demands are to low and have therefore set up own demands regarding energy in buildings.The possibility to construct energy-saving buildings is today very great, with energy-efficient heating-systems and dense climate envelope. The interest to raise energy-efficient buildings have also increased as a consequence that the population have become more aware about their impact on the environment.

The smartphone market is growing rapidly, between Google Play and App Store more than 25 billion apps have been downloaded since 2008. Today many companies develop their own smartphone applications (apps) for their customers. We believe that many apps are developed without much consideration about the actual value it brings to the customer, and through them, value for the company. Instead they create applications with hope of keeping the company modern. Developing and implementing apps in a business is neither easy nor free and must therefore add value to the business in some way.

Health and fitness are two controversial and not easily defined topics that affect people in our modern society every day. We believe that we can find a link between individualism, globalization and the stress concerning weight and appearance ideals. Our bodies have turned into a popular subject for the media, and there is no indication that the interest will decline. As the world gets more artificial, "natural" ideals are getting more attention, such as the concept of a strong and healthy body. But there is also a downside, for example with health issues such as cardiovascular disease increasing following the birth of high-fat diets.

The purpose of this survey is to better understand how students in Swedish upper secondary school perceive knowledge in history. 44 students from two different schools took part in the survey. The students partaking were asked to make a rough plan for a course in history, in which they were to both suggest contents of the course and also motivate their choice of content by arguing their view of the purpose of knowledge in history. The results of the survey were then compared to the curriculum of the history subject. The survey shows that a majority of the students asked find modern history, especially World War 1 & 2, and Swedish history to be of importance.

This means that media is affecting the recipients? view on religion in general and the personal religion.

The aim of this essay is to investigate the situation for democracy in China. The study raises two main questions. They are as follows: Are there obstacles to a democratization process in China? and Are there openings when it comes to a gradual change for democratization in China? The theoretical framework consists of Robert A.Dahl´s Polyarchy theory, and in addition , five factors promoting democracy. Also the notion of an MDP-society (a modern, dynamic and pluralistic society) is looked upon.

The technology used in the development of web-applications is evolving at such rate that it has become more and more important to keep web-applications modern. If an application is based on a technical platform that is not renewed, the platform may over time develop into an obstacle in further development of the application. There may be compatibility issues and some of the code may be unnecessary due to abstraction, and therefore more time consuming to work with. Sometimes the reason may be that an application has been built to run, and is running on an application server that is no longer being maintained. The system can be large and modernization can cost a lot.

Den sociala ingenjören besitter även förmågan att manipulera människor på ett sätt som den traditionella hackaren saknar. Många spelar på mottagarens medkänsla, tacksamhet, lojalitet eller respekt för auktoriteter för att vinna förtroende. I takt med att den tekniska säkerhet förstärks är det troligt att fler väljer att använda människor istället för tekniken när de utför en attack.

Styrketräning har historiskt sett tillskrivits som en farofylld aktivitet för barn- och ungdomar.Rekommendationer från förr ger ungdomar klartecken att styrketräna först när de växt färdigt, alltså vuxen ålder. Styrketräning har dock genom modern forskning visat sig vara väldigt fördelaktigt även för barn- och ungdomar då träningsformen kan bidra med en mängd hälsovinningar. Dagens idrottande barn- och ungdomar utför ofta skadefyllda idrotter såsom fotboll, hockey och friidrott vilka skulle kunna vara betydligt mindre skadefyllda om utövarna ökar sin kroppsliga kompetens, bentäthet och styrka som styrketräning medför. Eftersom skolväsendet är den perfekta grogrunden för kunskap så vore även utbildning om- och utövande av styrketräning optimalt under dess tidiga stadium.Syftet med forskningsstudien är att undersöka unga idrottslärares attityder till styrketräning för låg- och mellanstadieelever inom ämnet idrott och hälsa. De frågeställningarna som ämnas undersökas är; 1) Vilka attityder till styrketräning för barn i låg- och mellanstadiet finns representerade hos respondenterna? 2) Hur påverkar idrottslärarnas attityder till styrketräning för barn i låg- och mellanstadiet idrottsundervisningen och i förlängningen elevernas hälsa? 3) Är idrottslärarnas tankegångar om styrketräning för barn i låg- och mellanstadiet förankrade i modern forskning eller bygger de på historiska föreställningar och rekommendationer?Studien är av kvalitativ natur då attityder och åsikter undersöktes.

Proteins are vital to all cells in the body. They consist of long chains of amino acids. To be able to study the amino acid composition of a protein it is necessary to hydrolyse it, followed by separation and quantification. When the protein is hydrolysed, in this case ß-lactoglobulin, the protein is divided into individual amino acids. The method that traditionally has been used to hydrolyse proteins takes 24-72 hours to complete.

 AbstractThis Master?s thesis analyses the dynamics of the medieval counterweight lever engine, ortrebuchet, a type of mechanical artillery. The purpose is to study the differences between different types of these machines, and see if computer simulations can be used to validate preserved advice on construction. Simulations include machines with a fixed counterweight, a hinged counterweight and a combination of both counterweights.Due to the almost complete lack of archaeological finds and insufficient historical source material there are still, after more than a century of research, many unanswered questions concerning the design and performance of these machines.The present study is based on an analysis by Jahsman (2004). A more detailed mathematical model employing Coulomb-friction is used.

Operationell risk inom banksektorn är ett område under utveckling. Utredningen har behandlat ett ramverk för hantering av operationell risk kallat A Systemic Approach Framework for Operational Risk (SAFOR). Syftet har varit att konkretisera detta ramverk och inom detta utvärdera en metod kallad Damage Evaluation and Effective Prevention (DEEP-metoden) i kombination med ett datoriserat beslutsverktyg benämnt DecideIT. SAFOR hanterar operationell risk som är nära kopplat till företagets processer, personer och system. Dess utformning grundar sig i general system theory, en holistisk verksamhetssyn som minskar risken för överlappning mellan olika riskhanteringsområden.
