The purpose of this work is to investigate collaboration between journalists and librarians.These two groups meet in the archives of the modern newspapers.The theoretical part deals with the functions which society has given journalism and the libraries. A comparison is made between the two groups and the author notes resemblance anddifferences.The practical part is an investigation of some journalists at Boras Tidning, a Swedish newspaper. They have answered questions about their usage of the archive which has an educatedlibrarian. The purpose of my one year master?s thesis is to add a documentation of a data processing-process of photo- graphs to the administration of archives. The thesis is written from an archival science perspective which is to be seen in my choice of literature, method and questions at issue. To be able to form a documentation of a data processing-process I studied DiBiS, a company specialized in digitalizing old photographs and publish them on a online database. I also added a chapter where I studied how archival institutions used to handle their old photo- graphs in a traditional manner so the reader of this thesis will be able to understand and see the differences be- tween traditional and modern photograph management.

Denna rapport redovisar utvecklingen av grafiskt material som skapades åt Thomasgymnasiet i Strängnäs kommun i ett försök att uppdatera deras image om att dem är en modern skola. Under utvecklingen så skapades det ett flertal olika skisser, en moodboard och slutligen nio flyers och två olika affischer. Jag använde mig av Strängnäs kommuns officiella grafiska profil för att ledsaga utvecklingen, men försökte ändå att introducera nya element som kunde anses som acceptabelt av skolans ledning. Slutresultatet blev godkänt av skolans rektor, däremot så hann dem inte skrivas ut och skickas iväg till potentiella elever..

This essay takes the three models from Allison and Zelikow book Essence of decision and applies them on the Swedish defense system. After the cold war the Swedish defense system had to undergo changes to be a more modern defense and be able to defend Sweden against threats. To also be able to cooperate with other countries in peacekeeping operations the Swedish defense had to be reorganized. The solution was to change direction from a defense system that was organized for invasion to instead be a movable defense ready for any challenge in Sweden or abroad. Jag har i mitt examensarbete fördjupat mig i 1970-talets mönsterformgivning för textilier, och det samhälle som var då, för att sedan kunna jämföra med 2000-talets nytändning kring denna tid. Fokusen har legat på barnkläder, då det idag produceras mycket 70-talsinspirerande kläder och motiv till just barn. Mitt mål har därefter varit att skapa ett egendesignat tyg, som det sedan, i samarbete med en sömmerska, ska bli barnkläder av. Och jag har velat komma åt den där 70-talskänslan, samtidigt som jag velat att det ska kännas nytt och modernt för 2000-talets tid..

Ämnet överblivna ytor i staden är aktuellt och rör sig ofta i gränslandet mellan arkitektur, planering och konst. Man kan förhålla sig till dessa icke-definierade platser på olika sätt men gemensamt är att de i grund och botten berör frågan Vem har rätt till staden? Ofta har de överblivna ytorna inte någon egen funktion utan finns enbart som gränser eller skyddszoner för att skilja andra funktionsområden från varandra.

The purpose of making the book has been to bring two interests together, illustration and graphic design.The content of the book for this graduation project is written by Fredrik Mårtensson. His poetry tells about the unnatural state of the modern society. This study deals with questions about male and female, power and church, related to the Mariologies of three prominent leaders in the Church of Sweden in the last century: Erling Eidem, Paulina Mariadotter and Cristina Grenholm. The mentioned topics are important for conservative High Church people as well as for radical feminists, and they are therefore necessary to address in the context of discussions about the church´s identity and the search of greater unity.Each Mariology is related to contemporary ideas about the relations between male and female, and to the tradition of the church as the leaders themselves see it. During the years 1920-2010 the relations between the sexes changed a lot as a result of the impact of modernity, which also affected how people perceived the relationship between the individual and the tradition/authorities. The present study concludes that there is a connection between Mariology and contemporary ideas about male and female. However, the Mariologist´s attitude to the tradition of the church seems to decide which perspective is allowed to dominate.

The study has a qualitative approach and the theoretical part is based on Castells', Giddens' and Bauman's theories of modern society and employment in relation to the individual. The study concludes that external circumstances in combination with internal driving forces are the reasons behind changing careers. The process is predominantly perceived as positive, especially education tends to strengthen self-identity. Work in general is regarded as important for a person's identity and new career changes are expected in the future..

Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur gymnasieskolans yrkesutbildning kan öka samverkan med näringslivet. Jag vill genom undersökningen visa vad som kan göras för att få ökat samarbete inom arbetsplatsförlagd utbildning, kompetensutveckling av yrkeslärare och resursöverföring inifrån näringslivet till gymnasieskolan. Resultatet av studien visar att det finns ett stort intresse och många nya grepp ifrån näringslivet på hur vi kan öka samverkan.       Studien gjordes genom en enkätundersökning som skickades till 16 respondenter som idag har arbetsplatsutbildningskontrakt med skolan. .

Arbetet presenterar ett förslag till en hästby i Trönninge, en tätort fem kilometer norr om Varbergs centrum. Förslaget visar hur en hästby kan se ut, vad som behöver ingå och hur man ordnar det praktiskt. Varberg ligger längs kusten i Hallands län ca 7 mil från Göteborg. I Varberg finns det idag inga hästbyar, men hästintresset i kommunen är mycket stort vilket ger ett bra underlag för en hästby. Varbergs kommun håller idag på att göra en fördjupad översiktsplan över Trönninge och har som förslag att ett av utbyggnadsområdena skall bli ett hästboende. Hästbyar är ett ganska nytt fenomen som dyker upp på många olika ställen i Sverige.

När man skapar grafik till spel och speciellt återanvändningsbar grafik finns det en hel del tekniker man bör behärska. I denna rapport beskriver jag dessa och hur de påverkar objektet man jobbar med. Fokus ligger på texturering och allt relaterat till området men jag tar även upp modellering, UV-mappning samt interaktionen mellan dessa tre delar.
