Kedjor som äger sina egna butiker har en mer centraliserad styrning är butiker som ägs av handlare men ändå tillhör en kedja. De väletablerade butikskedjorna ICA, Coop och Axfood har en något mer modern styrning än de nyetablerade lågprisbutikerna Netto och Lidl. Detta beror främst på att modern styrning utgår från att lyssna mer på kunden vilket inte lågpriskedjorna är intresserade av då de istället har som strategi att lära kunderna att handla lågpris..

Uppsatsen handlar om användningen av pedagogisk dokumentation i förskolan. Vi har problematiserat dess betydelse för relationen mellan förskollärare och föräldrar. Syftet med uppsatsen är därför att undersöka pedagogisk dokumentation i förskolan och dess betydelse för föräldrasamarbete. Vi vill genom vår undersökning studera hur förskollärare använder pedagogisk dokumentation i relation till föräldrar samt hur föräldrar upplever den dokumentation de tar del av.Dagens förståelse av pedagogisk dokumentation i förskolan placerar vi i ett sammanhang genom att beskriva dokumentationens rötter i utvecklingspsykologiska observationer. Vi presenterar Reggio Emilia som en inspirationskälla till dagens dokumentationsarbete samt presenterar portfolio som ett arbetssätt.

The main purpose of this bachelor?s thesis is to examine how Swedish upper secondary school librarians and related staff relate to the online encyclopaedia Wikipedia. The research is placed in the all-embracing context of information literacy and source criticism on the Internet. The study was carried out in the form of qualitative interviews and based on two theoretical bases: firstly, the concept of cognitive authority stipulated by Patrick Wilson, and secondly the idea that Wikipedia has a draw towards late modern epistemological assumptions. The latter theory was also associated with the perceptions of knowledge among the library staff interviewed.

Detta arbete diskuterar och belyser hur utvecklingen av mineralogiskanalysmetodik har sett ut genom att tillämpa samtbeskriva ett urval av både klassisk och modern metodik. Grundentill arbetet är en stensamling som byggts upp av HolgerJensen och beskrivits av hans son Rolf Jensen på 1940-talet.Den nya förteckningen som sammanställts jämförs med dengamla som Rolf gjorde. It can be difficult for the private investor to know where, when and which security to invest in. The strategies are as ambivalent as the stock markets fluctuations. If the investor prefers to refrain from investing money himself, there are brokers who carry out these types of services.

The aim of this essay is to investigate the situation for democracy in China. The study raises two main questions. They are as follows: Are there obstacles to a democratization process in China? and Are there openings when it comes to a gradual change for democratization in China? The theoretical framework consists of Robert A.Dahl´s Polyarchy theory, and in addition , five factors promoting democracy. Also the notion of an MDP-society (a modern, dynamic and pluralistic society) is looked upon.

The gap between practise and theory is often described in negative words in teachers? professional lives. Learning study is a model for teachers´ professional development where a theoretical framework is used to enhance practice. The theoretical framework used by teachers in learning study is variation theory. In this study the research object is variation theory and the aim is to present how variation theory becomes a guiding principle to understand teaching and learning processes.

Även stålet släpper ut en stor mängd koldioxid vid tillverkning.Plattrambroar dimensioneras ofta efter L100 vilket innebär en förväntad livslängd på 120 år. Men med dagens utförande på plattrambroar är det svårt att uppnå den förväntade livslängden då broarnas beläggning och kantbalkar slits sönder efter 30-40år.Denna rapport tar upp nya lösningar på plattrambrons konstruktion där modern injekteringsbetong kommer att användas istället för den konventionella anläggningsbetong som idag används för att bygga plattrambroar. In the history of scientific visualization techniques there is a lack of social science practices and methodologies. The advent of modern computer graphics brought the use of visualizations into a whole new era, but even though the tools by which such modern visualizations are created become easier to access and use, the lack of social science researchers harvesting the benefits of such tools still remain. This ease of use, increase in power and accessibility plus the ever growing need within the natural sciences to augment the human senses has further complicated the relationship between scientific methodologies, validity, reliability and the use of visualization techniques. This relationship must be explored, demystified and understood in order to fully grasp the impact of visualization practices when incorporated into any given scientific method. Within the social sciences there is one example of a tradition that has since its conception carried within it a graphical notion and a visualization practice.

There are no clear incentives to reduce facility costs.

This master thesis concerns whether Swedish non-financial listed firms act in accordance with the optimal capital structure theory and/or pecking order theory. The examined period is 1998-2004 and we discover that Swedish companies neither follow optimal capital structure theory nor pecking order theory. From our results we conclude that there exists no single point of the capital structure which is optimal. Rather it seems as if the optimal point lies in-between an interval from 0 to the industry average, where firms tend to be indifferent to their debt-ratios. Our results show that Swedish companies prefer internal financing followed by equity and as last choice debt issuance..

This essay is an attempt to study some post-modern theological positions with regard to their growing interest in the use of mystical theology and mysticism in theological research in the academic post-modern world, and to see if the 19th century theologian Albert Schweitzer couldprove a resource for this understanding of mystical theology. This position is known in the essay as ?the mystical turn.?To present the background and understanding of this post-modern view of mystical theology the essay presents three theologians, namely: Andrew Louth, Mark A. McIntosh and Sarah Coakley.These three theologians argue for the use of a contemplative and transforming mysticism as a postmodern epistemology in relation to theological research, with growing concern of the status of theology in the secular and post-modern world. Having made clear the views of these three theologians the essay then presents Albert Schweitzer's view on the mysticism of Paul.

This essay seeks to analyze the consequences of modern information and communication technology for collective action within the framework of social movements. With references to the protests in Seattle 1999, the essay argues that the emergence of distributed collective action is closely related to the use of technology, for example cell phones and Internet. This distributed collective action can be characterized by its decentralized and self-organizing features, forming a global pattern emerging from local interactions. Whereas contemporary theories of collective action can be ´stretched´ to fit these aspects, they lack analytical tools to describe and analyze such systems. Further, their rejection of classical crowd theory is problematic, since it contains valuable insights.

AbstractThe debate on grammar has been on the agenda for thousands of years. Several different arguments and theories have been used in order to explain the importance of grammar in school. Some newer arguments have been added, while others have stayed, either in their original version, or in a modernised one.This essay aims to clarify the role grammar play in school. In order to do that we have looked into its history, the curriculum, modern research and interviews made with active teachers.The results of the literary studies, the studies of the curriculum and the field studies show that the very presence of grammar in school is disputed. The curriculum of today speaks of an orientation in language, with grammar as a part of it, based on the students? own language.
