Some MNEs encounter frustration or failures when they enter a new market. The main reason is due to a lack of adaptation. There is a lack of theoretical study about the local adaptation phenomenon of Swedish MNEs in China. Most studies are at the level of experience. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to find out the dimensions subject to local adaptation and their degree for the Swedish MNEs in China.

The objective of this work was to evaluate and implement a number of energy saving functions for a specific embedded system. The functions were then grouped into a number of energy levels with known properties in terms of functionality, energy consumption, and transition time between the levels.The embedded system consisted of an AT91 ARM9 processor, GSM/GPRS modem, display, Ethernet and other peripheral units. Some energy saving methods that were considered were suspend to RAM, suspend to disk, frequency scaling, and methods for saving energy in the modem, Ethernet, USB and display backlight. The functions were grouped into levels and an interface was specified for controlling the energy level.It proved possible to get known properties within the defined energy levels, even though the paritioning of functions into these levels proved to be sub-optimal in a typical application usage scenario because it was designed for mainly energy consumption, not usage.The final result is a number of energy saving functions grouped into levels, which are controllable via an application interface. Each of the levels have a known energy consumption in both loaded and un-loaded mode..

Transport is an important aspect to take account in efforts to achieve sustainable tourism development. If we do not change our behavior regarding travel, the consequences will be significant for the environment. This study examines the various transport operators on the two Swedish ski resorts if their websites and marketing are different from each other in the mode selection. The destinations are Åre and Hemavan Tärnaby. They studied modes are two Swedish airlines, two train companies, three bus companies and three taxi companies.These corporate websites are studied with a content analysis in which the results of the keywords that have been developed are scored according to different categories.

Denna uppsats är en intervjustudie som omfattar sex utvalda muslimska kvinnor där jag valt att undersöka hur dessa kvinnor ser på muslimska baddräkter. Syftet med uppsatsen är att utreda huruvida dessa kvinnor uppfattar olika typer av muslimska baddräkter och även redogöra för vilka skiljaktigheter det finns mellan dessa kvinnors åsikter och vad dessa skillnader kan bero på. För att få fram olika representationer vad gäller dessa kvinnors tolkningar, kommer jag att använda mig av begreppet flerstämmighet för att lyfta fram olikheterna med hänsyn till de olika tolkningarna som finns inom en religiös grupp. Detta är för att diversiteten som finns inom den egna gruppen ska tydliggöras. Min teoretiska utgångspunkt är Olivier Roys post-globala teori som jag anser vara relevant för det valda temat.

 Den här uppsatsen har skrivits i samband med ett examensarbete som jag gjorde på Shortfuse, ett företag under bildning i Gothia Science Park vid Högskolan i Skövde. Det som jag har gjort under examensarbetet var att ändra vissa befintliga spellägen och att designa helt nya spellägen till fightingspelet Colosseum. Målsättningen är att utveckla nya spellägen utan att lägga till eller ändra på befintlig spelmekanik.Resultatet av arbetet ledde till en lösning på hur målsättningen kan uppfyllas, nämligen genom att kombinera befintlig spelmekanik på nya sätt. Men jag kom fram till att det ändå inte går att designa något nytt utan att ändra på spelmekaniken åtminstone lite grann. Slutsatsen är att den positiva inverkan en idé skulle ha på spelet måste övervägas mot hur mycket det kostar i form av tid och pengar.Dessutom ledde arbetet till beskrivningar av tre olika metoder för att komma på nya idéer.

Vidare nämns att budgeten är på väg att bli mindre anförtrodd i företag och problem med den. BSC är vanligt förkommande i Sverige, det gäller större företag likväl som offentligverksamhet. Att undersöka huruvida BSC fortfarande är av intresse grundas av efter en jämförelse med budgetering.

Vi har valt att undersöka second handklädesmarknaden. På senare tid har intresset för andra handskläder ökat markant. Det finns två huvudsakliga aktörer på marknaden. De består av biståndsorganisationer som syftar till välgörande ändamål, samt de second handbutiker som har som mål att bevara gamla moden. I och med en ökad efterfrågan har marknaden utvecklats rejält.

This report describes the design and implementation of a multi-master, packet based protocol for small and tiny microcontrollers where resources are limited. The protocol was named "Tiny Controller Network" or TCN for short. The protocol is meant mainly as a control bus for automation and sensor acquisition applications but due to its flexibility can also be used for other purposes as well. It borrows some of its functionality and design ideas from the well known CAN bus and Modbus but also has a number of major differences like the use of standard hardware and time synchronisation. One of the key aspects during the design was the use of very little system resources and common on-chip hardware peripherals like a UART.

ECDIS är beroende av många olika delsystem för att kunna fungera optimalt.Failure Mode and Effect Anylysis (FMEA) är ett verktyg med vilket man kan undersöka ett specifikt system för att upptäcka eventuella konstruktionsfel och brister i produktionsdesignen. Detta examensarbete har med hjälp av en FMEA undersökt ECDIS simulatorerna vid Sjöfartshögskolan i Kalmar för att ta reda på hur ECDIS påverkas när ett eller flera av delsystemen kopplade till ECDIS fallerar. Syftet med denna undersökning har varit att upptäcka konstruktionsfel, brister och begränsningar i ECDIS systemet vid simulatorerna i Sjöfartshögskolan i Kalmar. Det kunde påvisas att ECDIS i vissa fall ej har avgett de larm som enligt tillverkaren skall varsko navigatören att ett delsystem har fallerat.
