The purpouse of this study is to find out how and if a Content Managment System (CMS) can benefit from applied User Experience Design (UX). A work project has been executed where a client wanted the students to create a user friendly CMS for adding content to a global hotel review site. A prototype of a CMS was created based on literature studies about UX and CMS. The prototype of the user friendly CMS was then tested through user tests and interviews with key users. Today's high oil prices and more stringent environmental requirements have led to that manufacturers of mobile construction equipment try to make their products more energy efficient. With this in mind a project about hybridization of hydraulic systems has been formed. The purpose of this project was to analyze the savings that can be achieved by hybridization of hydraulic systems. A reach stacker truck (Kalmar DRD450-80S4XS) were simulated in some load cases with conventional hydraulic systems and with three types of hybridized hydraulic systems. Different parts of the hydraulic systems were also analyzed separately.

Denna rapport beskriver arbetet med att utveckla ett API (Application Programming Interface) till Eurocons projekteringssystem SiteBase. Utvecklingen av systemet har bedrivits som ett examensarbete på uppdrag av Eurocon Consulting AB i Örnsköldsvik. Examensarbetet har bedrivits som en examinerande kurs för en högskoleingenjörsexamen med inriktning elektronik med en specialisering mot datorteknik och inbyggda system.Arbetet består av att utveckla ett API, till ett projekteringssystem baserat på WCF (Windows Communication Foundation), som är konfigurerbar så att den relativt enkelt ska kunna integreras med andra system.Syftet är att underlätta och minska den utvecklingstid det tar att integrera andra system med SiteBase, att skapa en bas att utgå ifrån för framtida integrationer.Systemet är utvecklat i C# med Visual Studio 2010 samt med Microsoft NET Framework 4.0 som ramverk. I digitala kretsar kan både bit-parallella och bit-seriella interface förekomma.T ex kan en integrerad digital krets (IC-krets) internt använda sig av bit-parallella aritmetiska kretsar medan dess kommunikation med andra integrerade kretsar sker bit-seriellt. Genom att använda seriell kommunikation mellan IC-kretsar kan antalet ben på kapslarna effektivt begränsas.Detta examensarbete gick ut på att göra en layoutgenerator för generering av en parametriserbar serie/parallellomvandlare och en parallell/serieomvandlare. När en krets använder sig av både bit-seriell och bit-parallell representation av data behövs dessa för att omvandla mellan formaten..

Syfte och frågeställningFöreliggande studies syfte var att jämföra den mobila syreupptagningsutrustningen Oxycon Mobile [OM] vid rodd på roddergometer vid mätningar inomhus och utomhus. Frågeställningen var om OM visar jämförbara värden mellan inomhus- och utomhusmätning vid standardiserad arbetsform. MetodSju manliga roddare från nationell och internationell elit rodde vid två tillfällen 4x4 minuter med stegrande belastning (+30 W) på submaximal (SMx) belastning följt av 4 minuter maximal belastning (Mx) på roddmaskinen Concept 2 modell D. Testtillfället inomhus genomfördes i välventilerad lokal och utomhus genomfördes testet under tak med tre öppna väggar med temperatur 20,5 ± 0,9 respektive 15,3 ± 1,9° C och luftfuktighet 50,2 ± 7,5 respektive 61,0 ± 8,5 %. För att mer likna rodd utomhus på vattnet simulerade en fläkt den fartvind som uppstår vid rodd på vattnet. Syreupptagning (VO2), respiratorisk kvot (RER), ventilation (VE), hjärtfrekvens, takt och skattad ansträngning i ben och andning på Borg skala (RPE) mättes.

For better understanding of how users interact with the video on demand service Netflix a study was conducted in 10 Swedish households. This study is based on the well-established heuristic evaluation method of Jacob Nielsen, which we modified slightly by letting the users to act as ?evaluation experts? and informing them about the heuristic rules of thumb during the evaluation process. The purpose of this study was to identify usability problems when people interact with Netflix? interface.

The purpose of this thesis is to compare if a charter company's attitude and vision of service can be reconciled with the attitudes and visions that the customers have in the same area. In order to carry out the study a qualitative approach is used. The data has been collected by interviews, focus groups and observations. The framework is theories on the subject of customer satisfaction, quality of service at customer meetings, Self-Service technologies, quality assurance and gap in service.The study has concluded that the approach to service is relatively equal between the company and customers, but the future visions differ. Focus group participants have been thinking bigger and further into the future, while the company focuses more on specific functions.

This paper examines the potential benefits of using augmented reality as a tool for visualizing furniture in a buyer?s own environment before buying it. A simple prototype is developed and tested.  The steps for developing the prototype are described in great detail as well as the tools being used. The prototype is tested both on people working in the furniture business as well as people with experience in buying furniture online. In conclusion the results from the user tests are analyzed and the potential benefits are described.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att göra en kvalitativ och komparativ studie genom att närläsa några appar på ett givet tema. Detta har jag gjort med stöd av bilderboksforskning. Jag har valt att se närmare på ABC-appar utifrån att de är designade med en pedagogisk intention.Jag visar genom studien, på ett av många sätt, att se på och förhålla sig till appar. Utifrån ett sociokulturellt perspektiv belyser jag det estetiska begreppet smak, vilket jag ser som en betydelsefull fond till min studie, eftersom jag anser att smak påverkar förväntningen och därmed upplevelsen. Min strävan är att hålla ett kritiskt barnperspektiv, det vill säga att genomlysa de föreställningar om barndom som tas för giv, eftersom barn är en målgrupp för kommersiella intressen..

Rapporten behandlar utvärdering och utveckling av ett gränssnitt som används på charkuterimaskinen Handtmann VF 300. Målgruppen är nyanställda personer på charkuteriföretaget ?Ingemar Johansson i Sverige AB?.Rapporten beskriver det tillvägagångssätt som använts för att utveckla gränssnittet och målet har varit att göra det lättare för nyanställda att förstå hur det fungerar. Det nya gränssnittet skulle också minska olycksrisken och göra användarna tryggare.

The objective of this project was to develop an application for mobile phones using the Android operating system. The main goal was, with the help of GPS, to pinpoint locations, measure distance traveled and illustrate the progress on a map. Functionalities for just showing the map, fetching addresses and saving to a database was also implemented. The result of the work was a proper application, called MeasureApp, that fulfills the goals set in the planning stages of the project. MeasureApp can be used to measure distances where accuracy is not a main factor, i.e walks or runs.

This report describes a synchronous machine model with magnetic saturation in d-axis, neutralconnection and electrical exciter interface for the transient simulator PSCAD/EMTDC. It hasbeen designed and verified in comparison to the regular machine model in EMTDC.The performance of the model is very good when incorporating a linear as well as a saturatedmagnetising inductance. The dynamic deviation is only thousandths to ten thousandths perunit. By using a cubic interpolation of the saturation curve, the model gives a good representationof the saturation effect. The open source code implementation of the synchronousmachine model gives the possibility to easily adapt the model to specific requirements.The derived model makes it possible to simulate a synchronous machine with its excitationsystems, e.g.
