Public concern and the need of responsible way of doing business have brought forward the issue of sustainability at the forefront of discussion in the last decade. Even though, food retailers are playing an important role in the economy, they are exposed for criticism by media and consumers for any socially and environmentally irresponsible business practices because, the potential environmental and social impacts from their operations are significant. These impacts need to be recognized and properly addressed. The main objective of this study was to assess the sustainable business management of a cooperative food retail business in Sweden, known as Konsum Värmland (KV). The necessary data and information on history and status of KV, and its practical activities concerning the implementation of sustainable development programs as well as the motivation and challenges encountered by KV during the implementation were gathered via reviewing different documents, research papers and press releases; interviewing decision makers and other personnel in KV and other researchers from Swedish University of Agricultural University who have investigated KV.

Which expectations did leading debaters place on fiction as an instrument in achieving societal changes hoped for by introducing the Public library? How can the value of fiction be described in relation to the mission of the Public library, according to these moulders of public opinion? Place and timeframe for this thesis is Sweden around the years 1905-1912 (period of formation of the Public library here according to the Anglo-American model). Starting point is the assumption that the Public library as a political institution is characterized by an ideological function. It produces meaning and norms, it sets standards of value. Method used is based on close reading and comparison.

This empirical work and base has been to analyze the government?s investigation (SOU 2008:27): the future road ? a reformed high school, which led to the high school reform that the Swedish government introduced as proposition (2008/09:199) about: Higher demand and quality within the high school. Skolverket (part of the Swedish government) has worked with the development of this steering document within their own mission Gy2011 in connection with the high schools during the transition. The reform comes into effect 1 of July 2011. This led to the main purpose to ask questions what high school principals and teachers think of the reform and to what extent it effects the high school programs, the examination system, what impact they see on the individual and the demand from society, and to some extent what the respondent´s answers about the government?s definition of what the higher demand and quality in the reform signify.

Bakgrund: Svenska kyrkan har under de senaste åren varit med om ett flertal förändringar. En stor förändring ägde rum den 1 januari 2001, vilken kom att påverka Svenska kyrkans redovisning. Från och med detta datum kom nämligen de flesta trossamfund att omfattas av Bokföringslagen (1999:1078) och Årsredovisningslagen (1995:1554), vilket har medfört att kraven på Svenska kyrkans redovisning ökat. Detta i kombination med att trossamfund skiljer sig från de flesta andra organisationer som omfattas av dessa lagar kan tänkas leda till en del problem.Syfte: Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka redovisningsproblematiken i Svenska kyrkan, för att därefter ta fram en redovisningsmodell som bättre kan tänkas lösa de för Svenska kyrkan specifika redovisningsproblematiken.Genomförande: En studie av samtliga stifts årsredovisningar samt tre samfälligheter har utförts. Dessutom har sju intervjuer genomförts på samfällighets- och stifts nivå.

Syftet med denna komparativa, enkätbaserade studie var att synliggöra eventuella skillnader i uppfattningen om processen för bedömning av lärares prestationer hos skolledare i några skolor i Sverige och på några internationella skolor. I litteratur-genomgången gick jag igenom ett antal faktorer alt. delmoment som skulle kunna stödja en systematisk utvärderingsprocess och jag placerade in lärarutvärdering som ett led i skolutvecklingsarbete, ett led i den enskilde lärarens professionsutveckling och ett verktyg som stöd för att individuell lönesättning (på de skolor där lön/anställnings-kontrakt kopplas till prestation). Sex olika förutsättningar för utvärdering av lärare presenterades, vilka kopplades till ett systematiskt arbete med lärarutvärdering på skolor. Utifrån dessa ställde jag upp två utgångspunkter, vilka jag avsåg att utvärdera genom denna enkätundersökning: att skolenheter som har en tydlig vision/mission/värdegrund har en mer strukturerad process för bedömning av lärares individuella prestationer och att skolledarna på de internationella skolorna som deltar i undersökningen genomför en mer systematisk utvärdering av lärarnas arbete.

The focus of this thesis is the group as a pedagogical tool. It investigates whether and how what is known of group size can help further schools in fulfilling knowledge and democracy goals and moreover how such knowledge can influence the principals? management. The mission of school education is to provide the basis for each pupil?s individual development and in the end it is pupils? individual performances which are graded.

Bakgrunden till denna rapport är att det sportvarumärke jag samarbetat med ville utveckla en modell av längdskidåkningsjacka som fanns i deras sortiment. Undersökningen gällde att identifiera förbättringspunkter på en dam- och herrvariant av denna jacka. Avsikten var att bevara plaggens design och genom förändringar i mönstrens konstruktion förbättra passform och rörelsefrihet, och därigenom plaggets funktion. Genom att konstruera, sy toiler och prova av dessa på provmodeller, har rörelsefrihet och passform kunnat utvärderas. Resultatet visade att viktiga punkter var raglanärmens konstruktion, böjningen av ärmen, kragens form, ärmhålsdjup och placering av skärlinjer.

14 juni 2007 beslutade regeringen att tillkalla en särskild utredare med uppdrag att utforma förslag till en svensk veteranpolitik, som skulle innefatta ansvaret för personalen före, under och efter internationella militära insatser. Utredningen, som tog namnet Veteransoldatutredningen, lämnade i oktober 2008 sitt slutbetänkande. Syftet med denna uppsats var att kritiskt granska utredningens förslag till förbättring i frågan om psykologisk ohälsa, stressprevention, inför insats och med utgångspunkt i litteraturen försöka förutsäga om förslaget skulle komma att ge effekt Metodvalen i denna uppsats har utgjorts av kvalitativ textanalys samt deskription. Tyngdpunkten i essän ligger i att definiera stressreaktioner samt åtgärder för stressprevention. Därefter följer analysen för att kunna se om det finns en förankring i aktuell forskning, och mot slutet granskas om förslagen kommer att ge effekt.I uppsatsen söktes svar på följande frågeställningar:-          Finns det en förankring i förslagen från Veteransoldatutredningen i aktuell forskning med inriktning på preventiva åtgärder?-          Är det rimligt att anta att med stöd av aktuell forskning att förslagen kan förebygga psykisk ohälsa efter internationell insats?De viktigaste slutsatserna som har dragits från denna studie är:Förslagen från veteransoldatutredningen finns till del förankrade i aktuell litteratur.

I den här magisteruppsatsen studeras den interna kommunikationen på Stadium AB genom en fallstudie och två enkätundersökningar. Författarna har undersökt huruvida den interna kommunikationen har en avgörande roll då företagsledningen skall förmedla önskad image och funktionell kvalitet till konsumenterna, samt vilken roll den interna kommunikationen har för konsumenternas uppfattning om företaget.Studien visar att Stadiums företagsledning förmedlar en stor mängd budskap, såsom vision, affärsidé, värderingar och mission till sina anställda. De anställda har svårighet att ta till sig all denna information och kan därför inte sprida vidare dessa budskap till konsumenterna. Vidare visar studien att konsumenterna till viss del uppfattar Stadium på det sätt som företagsledningen önskar. Det går dock att finna vissa faktorer där företagsledningens och konsumenternas uppfattningar märkbart skiljer sig ifrån varandra.Studien har genomförts i tre olika faser.

Bakgrund och problem: Dagens företag är överhängande beroende avinnovationer för sin långsiktiga överlevnad. Innovationer i sin tur är avhängigaav kreativitet vilken karaktäriseras av osäkerhet, då kreativitet främjas av frittspelrum och egenbestämmande. Samtidigt finns ett trängande behov av kontrollöver verksamheterna. Här uppstår ett innovationens dilemma, där en balansmellan kontroll och kreativitet eftersträvas. Forskningen är både spridd ochsplittrad i problemen kring hur man kan hitta en balans mellan kontroll ochkreativitet vilket gör att praktiska råd för att lösa problemet är svåra att finna.När sådana väl uppkommer är det dessutom inte ovanligt att andra forskare gerhelt motsatta råd.Syftet med uppsatsen är primärt att utforska hur man i praktiken kan balanserakontroll och kreativitet i innovationssammanhang.

The formulation of visions into practical projects is an important part of the professional expertise of landscape architects. This expertise includes the gathering, structuring, improvement and utilization of knowledge. Project models have been developed to provide tools for the implementation and governance of projects, as well as means of learning, reflection and survey of individual projects. The aim of this thesis is to describe some general project models and their theory, and to describe practical, real-life examples of project models used within landscape architecture. Questions asked are: ? How do the processes of idea to construction in landscape architectural projects lool like? Do project models have a relevance for the mission of landscape architects? ? Is a common project model used within such projects, or is the project model varying depending on e.g.
