The term ?social competence? is widely used by organizations in job advertisements, despite the problems of making a unified definition of it. The purpose of this study is to investigate which features the organizations require, why organizations require them and how the assessment is implemented for recruitment. To answer the purpose of this study, eight qualitative interviews conducted with recruiters from four different staffing agencies. Further a literature study was performed to define the concept of ?social competence? and its meaning, in order to later connect this to the result.

A Social Enterprise is a business that features a mixture of characteristics that originates from the third and private sector. A general conception of Social Enterprises is that they aim to improve social welfare by the use of sustainable business models. The mixture of social and business features has created ambiguity about how to define Social Enterprises. The purpose of this study is to clarify Swedish Social Enterprises as a phenomenon and to examine antagonism that arises from mixing the two different sets of organisational characteristics. This is achieved by conducting a qualitative study of ten Swedish companies that the market considers to be Social Enterprises.

Sammanfattning Syfte: Denna selektiva kunskapsöversikts syfte var att upptäcka vilken betydelse miljö och bemötande kan ha i omsorgen gällande personer med demenssjukdom. Metod: Kunskapsöversikten innehåller tio stycken forskningsdokument publicerade mellan år 2000-2011 som söktes i samlingsdatabasen EbscoDiscoveryService (EDS). Vid studerandet av de valda forskningsdokumenten utgicks det från två valda teman: bemötande och miljö. Materialet behandlades utifrån den hermeneutiska vetenskapsfilosofiska positionen. Resultatet tolkades sedan genom de valda teorierna, KASAM (Känsla av Sammanhang) och personcentrerad omvårdnadsteori.

The purpose of this study was to examine divergences in assessments of social assistance in one big and one small social welfare office in the municipalities of Malmö. To examine this we used a qualitative method. We held interviews with social workers and their superiors. At the end of the interviews with the social workers we presented two vignettes, describing different cases of first time applications of social assistance. The social workers was asked to assess whether the application should be granted or not, and motivate their decisions.

Den amerikanske psykologen James W. Pennebaker introducerade på 1980- talet en ny metod där man skulle hantera sina känslor genom att skriva - att ?skriva sig frisk?. Metoden kallas ?Expressive Writing?.Med hjälp av metoden ?Expressive Writing? har jag i en empiristyrd studie fått inblick i psykologistuderandes expressiva material.

Syftet med litteraturstudien är att undersöka arbetssätt som påverkar till en ökad tillit till vård och omsorg samt till vårdpersonal inom missbruk- och beroendevård. Metoden för utförandet av litteraturstudien utgick från artikelsökning i två olika databaser Trust, "Substance Abuse Treatment", ?Substance-Related Disorders?, ?Substance abuse?, ?Motivational Interviewing? & ?Case Management?. Samtliga artiklar granskades utifrån Göteborgs Universitet, institutionen för vårdvetenskap och hälsas mall för granskning av artiklar och tre olika kategorier skapades. Resultatet baserades på nio kvalitativa och kvantitativa artiklar som berör tillit mellan vården och patienten, Case managements förbättring av organisationen kring patienten och motiverande samtal påverkan på motivation till behandling.

This paper examines, through questionnaire, how young students in upper secondary school in Malmo experience social integration. It also contain what they think should be done in order to improve the integration between youth that are ethnic Swedish and youth that have a foreign background. To understand the subject we started with a review over Swedish integration politic and its influence over Malmo and social integration in the country. We have used such theoretical starting points as identity and ethnicity in relations to the social surroundings, social affinity theory and flexible mindedness, making of groups among youth and factors to promote social integration. Our conclusion is that the experience of social integration between the two groups depends on how you experience yourself.

Social enterprises make up one of the groups of participants that provide welfare services financed by public funding. The object of this study is to describe and analyze from a theoretical point of view which conditions, in what fields, by which division of responsibility and finally through what decisions these social enterprises are allocated a place in the market for social welfare services. The company that has been the object of study offers services in the field of social welfare and in employment. In the study a triangulation of qualitative methods has been used: studies of literature on the subject, recurrent interviews and observations and also reviews of documents. The results have been analyzed from theories on the space available on the market for social services, on social economy and on social capital in the form of strong, weak and bridging bonds.

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka vilka faktorer i uppväxten som kan ha betydelse för utvecklandet av ett missbruk. Fokus har varit att belysa vilka riskfaktorer i uppväxten som kan påverka utvecklandet av ett missbruk, samt vilka skyddsfaktorer som är viktiga för att ett barn ska utvecklas gynnsamt. Studien baseras på en kvalitativ metod där fyra semistrukturerade intervjuer har utförts och grundar sig på fyra respondenter med erfarenhet av ett eget alkohol- och drogmissbruk, och deras berättelser om sin uppväxt. Studiens avsikt har varit att utifrån inlärningsteoretiska utgångspunkter förstå uppväxtens betydelse för utvecklandet av ett missbruk. Faktorer som kan påverka individer har delats in i tre huvudgrupper: Biologiska, psykologiska och sociala faktorer.

The purpose of this essay was to examine what Ungbo in Kalmar has meant for the adolescent from their point of view and to examine the social workers opinions of Ungbo.My questions were: What expectations did the adolescent and the social workers have on Ungbo? How has these expectations been fulfilled? What expectations does the social workers think the adolescents has on Ungbo? How is the impact of involvement for the adolescents when planning the living environment in Ungbo? What changes has Ungbo brought to the adolescent? What changes has Ungbo brought in the work of the social workers? What does Ungbo mean for the adolescent? What does Ungbo mean for the social workers and what experiences does the social workers have on the importance of Ungbo for the adolescents? How has the teamwork been working around the adolescent during the time at Ungbo?The questions were answered by asking four adolescents and two social workers with their experiences of Ungbo. My study showed that Ungbo was of importance for the adolescents that has been a part of the project, but it is also important in the work of the social workers. The adolescents noticed a change in them selves after their stay in Ungbo. The social workers were positive to Ungbo but they felt a need for others resembling activities in Kalmar..

Abstrakt Social Engineering är konsten att manipulera människor, för att på så sätt vinna deras förtroende. Med hjälp av detta förtroende kan attackeraren sedan kringgå säkerhetssystem och få tillgång till organisationers information. Vi har i denna uppsats genomfört elva intervjuer på tre stora organisationer med både IT-chefer och övrig personal. Med dessa intervjuer har vi sedan försökt få en bild av hur medvetenheten ser ut samt vilka åtgärder organisationerna tar för att förhindra Social Engineering. Med denna uppsats vill vi belysa den ovisshet som råder kring Social Engineering, men även farorna och hur effektiv en attack av denna typ kan vara.

The aim of this essay was to investigate how social workers, within chosen Social services districts in the northwest of Skåne, work with children placed in foster care. Our purpose was to investigate the interaction between the child and the foster home from the perspective of the Ecology of Human Development. Our questions were:* How do the social worker prepare the child and the foster home before a placement?* What kind of support is offered to the foster home with the purpose of supporting the child?* How do the social worker make the childs contact with the biological parents easier?* To what degree does the social worker work on strengthening the child's network?* Which factors do the social worker decide the allocation of support?* What do the social worker think affects the work with the foster home from a society level?To answer our question we have interviewed nine social workers. We found that the social workers were generally good at perceiving how the micro- and meso-systems, and to a certain extent the exo-system, influenced the foster child.

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka faktorer av betydelse för en upplevd livskvalitet bland äldre personer i behov av omsorg. Studien har en hermeneutisk ansats. Data samlades in via enskilda djupintervjuer med fyra äldre personer boende på ett trygghetsboende i en värmländsk kommun. Hälsa, aktivitet och intressen, anhöriga och vänner, boende samt acceptans av sitt eget liv och åldrande var faktorer av betydelse. Hälsan beskrevs utifrån två olika dimensioner, som faktiskt hälsostatus och subjektivt upplevd hälsa. Att vara delaktig i aktivitet och utföra sina intressen var viktigt för de äldre.

Jämställdhet är ett mål vårt samhälle strävar efter. Gamla könsroller och förlegad syn på maskulinitet och femininitet förhindrar grundläggande rättigheter på arbetsmarknaden. I debatten rörande jämställdhet, lika betalt för lika jobb, hamnar männen på kvinnodominerade arbetsplatser lite i skymundan.Vård- och omsorgsförvaltningen i Karlstad är en horisontellt segregerad organisation med en majoritet av kvinnor. En klar önskan från både anställda och ledning finns att öka andelen män inom vård och omsorg. Fördelarna med en jämställd organisation ses av samtliga men hur arbetet skall bedrivas för att uppnå denna önskan råder det större oklarhet om.Syftet med uppsatsen är att utifrån vår frågeställning ?Får och vill män arbeta inom vård och omsorg?? sprida ljus över olika delar av organisationen av intresse för jämställdhetsarbete.Vård- och omsorgsförvaltningen har genomfört en undersökning i vilken tre jämställdhetsfrågor ingick.

Many social services cases have been reviewed in the media during the last years. One of those cases is ?Lasse and Karin?, handled by the Social Services in Oskarshamn in 2002. Lasse and Karin had their son taken into custody by the Social Services and the case was reviewed in national media. Through this case the Social Services received much attention, of which most was negative, and their handling of the case was greatly criticized.
