This is an empirical study of how the mathematical talk of adult learners constructs/reconstructs different mathematical discourses. The study is to be regarded as an attempt to develop a discursive approach within the field of mathematics education and to complicate the status of mathematics in education and in society in general. My theoretical underpinnings consist of three possible mathematical discourses ? coercive, regulative and emancipative mathematics. From a discursive psychology perspective, I let these discourses function as analytical interpretive repertoires in relation to the adult learners? rhetorical use of mathematics and their claiming of mathematical subject-positions, named the coerced, the self-regulating and the responsible mathematician.

The aim of the literature review was to illuminate the importance of nutritional management to patients who have sustained a traumatic brain injury (TBI) and describe nurses responsibility and meaningful function in the nutritional support. TBI patients tend to be associated with hypermetabolism and hypercatabolism, resulting in negative nitrogen balances. The results reveal increased energy expenditure and assessments of needs energy requirements at the TBI patients. This study determining the route of feeding: enteral versus parenteral nutrition. Furthermore describes complications associated with enteral feeding.

Bakgrund: Endometrios är en vanlig sjukdom och drabbar ungefär var tionde kvinna. Obehandlad endometrios kan medföra obehagliga symtom och kan i värsta fall leda till infertilitet och cancer. En tidig diagnossättning och behandling är därför av stor vikt. Tid till diagnos är i dagsläget flera år och kvinnorna upplever sig bli trivialiserade av sjukvården. Syfte: Syftet med denna litteraturstudie är att belysa kvinnors upplevelse av att leva med endometrios. Metod: En kvalitativ litteraturstudie utifrån analys av tio vetenskapliga studier. Resultat: Resultatet mynnade ut i tre framträdande teman om hur endometrios påverkar kvinnan livskvalitet.

SAMMANFATTNING Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka om det finns något samband mellan dialekter och åhörarnas förväntningar på identitet hos den dialekttalande. Är våra förväntningar så hårt inpräntade av tidigare erfarenheter att vi analyserar en person, och dömer den enbart med hjälp av personens dialekt? Frågeställningarna blev följande: hur ser intervjupersonerna på sin egen dialekt? På vilket sätt påverkas intervjupersonen av de olika dialekterna samt vilka förutfattade meningar, sedan tidigare erfarenheter, om dialektbrukarens identitet går att finna hos dessa intervjupersoner? Metodologiskt användes en semistrukturerad intervjuform som åtföljdes av en ram som fångade in olika huvudteman. Urvalet bestod av tolv intervjupersoner i åldrarna 20-30 år. Intervjuerna varade mellan 30-40 minuter.

Portable is a project with its starting point in plastic bags, how they negatively affect our planet and how people´s patterns of behavior and qualities of life are affected when people try to live more envi¬ronmentally friendly. Now we have reached the point when peoples way of living and consuming in the western world has to change. This is nothing new and we can now see that sustainability is start¬ing to get attention in every area.Today plastic bags are used on average for 12 minutes. Only one out of 200 is reused, and then only once . This is not sustainable at all.

Sammanfattning/Abstract Syfte Syftet är att undersöka och resonera om vilka diskurser som möjligtvis skapas eller är ursprung bakom utbildningsminister Jan Björklunds argumentation för och i samband med gymnasiereformen GY2011och vilka effekter det får på bildämnet i gymnasieskolan. Frågeställningar Vilka diskurser som möjligtvis kan vara i konflikt med en bildämnesdiskurs konstrueras i den argumentation om skolvärlden som uttrycks av Jan Björklund? Vilken identitet och status får bildämnet i dessa diskursers synsätt? Metod och material För att besvara frågeställningarna har analys av debattmaterial skrivet av Jan Björklund gjorts, främst boken Skolstart. Materialet har sedan analyserats med diskursanalytisk metod och jämförts med en uppfattning av bildämnet, som det är framställt i undersökningen nationell utvärdering av bildämnet. Resultat Resultatet visar att bildämnet har identitet som står i konflikt med Jan Björklunds diskursordning på många punkter. Since 1998, the Swedish preschool has its own curriculum and with this the preeschool became the first step of a lifelong learning. The aim of this study was to explore how preschool teachers perceive their work before and after the Swedish curriculum was inserted. A qualitative method was used in this study. Four different in-depth interviews were conducted with preschool teachers, all experienced working at least before 1993. The curriculum theory and curriculum history were used to analyze the empirical data.

This literature study deals with the pig industry and how group size and available floor area affects the animal welfare and the production results. It shows that both the pigs? welfare and production result can be affected negatively if the environment seems stressful for the pigs, and if they are housed in a narrow area. If the pigs are being exposed to either physiological or psychological stress factors their immune system can be decreased and the growth can be impaired. Influence by the social status of the pigs is also reviewed.

Sense of coherence amongst employees with reduced work-capacity at Samhall.Sanela Jakupovic TrostekScientific essay in public health, 15 hp, Academy of Health and promoting Working Life, University of GävleThe aim of this study was to examine how employees at Samhall who has reduced work-capacity experienced their sense of coherence (SOC). The study includes gender, age and civil status in the analysis. The study includes 34 respondents which are divided as 20 men and 14 women. To measure SOC a quantitative method with a 29 standardized questionnaire was used.It was found that the employees felt, in general, low SOC, which means more difficult adaptation to their life situation. Noteworthy is that 70 % of the men in this study showed low SOC compared to 35,7 % of the women.One conclusion that can be drawn is that within Samhall, it showed that women had a higher SOC mean value than men which means they are more equipped to handle, understand and find meaning in their work life. Keywords: Antonovsky, Samhall, disability, work-capacity, sense of coherence (SOC).

Idag ställs det höga krav på kompetens och att vi ständigt ska lära i arbetet. Kraven innebär ett stort behov av kompetensutveckling och ett livslångt lärande. Finns ingen drivkraft att utvecklas är det svårt att finna en plats på arbetsmarknaden.Syftet med denna studie är att beskriva hur chefer upplever sina möjligheter till utveckling och lärande i arbetet. Underlag för studien är nio intervjuer med chefer i olika branscher i både den offentliga och privata sektorn.Studien visar att respondenterna är utvecklingsbenägna. De nöjer sig inte med den kompetens de redan besitter, utan strävar ständigt efter att lära nytt.

Det finns många likheter mellan en orgel och en orkester och samtidigt många olikheter. Vid båda instrumenten har man, beroende på storleken, tillgång till en mängd olika stämmor men vid orgeln är det, oftast, bara en som spelar medan en orkester har betydligt fler instrumentalister. Klangen produceras till stor del på olika sätt och sättet att frasera och göra skillnader i dynamik och artikulation skiljer sig på många sätt mellan en orgel och en orkester. Att balansera dessa likheter och olikheter har varit den stora utmaningen i mitt arbete. Syftet med mitt examensarbete är att transkribera delar av Allan Petterssons 7:e symfoni för orgel samt att beskriva och problematisera kring denna arbetsprocess.

In this essay we aimed to find how economic scarcity among children and youth presents itself in school, according to how school staff experience it. We have conducted interviews with student welfare staff to hear their experiences of this subject and how the schools try to help these pupils. We have used interpretative phenomenology as a base for our work. We have also used some of this traditions most important notions along with notions of Erving Goffman and Sara Ahmed during our processing off the material.  With help from these, we report our most interesting results. We have seen that a lack of resources exists among youth today and that everyone not has easy access to things many of us might take for granted.

Introduktion: Genom att tillämpa kriterier för övergång från parenteral till peroral antibiotikabehandling, i största möjliga mån, kan överbehandling reduceras. En väsentlig åtgärd som bör beaktas, avser till att så fort som möjligt övergå från intravenös (IV) administrering till peroral antibiotika behandling, vid behandling av patienter med bakteriella infektioner. En tidig övergång till peroral behandling och utskrivning av patienter kan vara av vikt för att minimera en eventuell risk att erhålla vårdrelaterade infektioner. Syfte: Att genom en litteraturstudie försöka undersöka vilka kriterier som rekommenderas vid en övergång från parenteral till peroral antibiotika administrering, inom den slutna vården. Vilket utfall tillämpning av övergångskriterier har haft på reduktion av vårddygn (LOS) samt behandlings utfall och tillfrisknande vid tillämpning av övergångs kriterier.

Background: The Swedish population is aging [1] and malnutrition is a common problem among elderly people [2]. A method called food registration is used to monitor the patients? nutritional intake, with the purpose of reducing the risk of patients deteriorating in nutritional status during hospitalisation. However, the current method is not satisfactory and many food registration lists are incomplete. [3-6] Thus, patients do not receive a qualitative nutritional care since the assessment of the patients? nutritional status is based on incomplete documentation.Purpose: The purpose of this master thesis is to increase the quality in the nutrition monitoring process in the geriatric units B72 and B74 at Karolinska University Hospital in Huddinge, Sweden.

This essay explores how artwork in the public space can be analysed, conceptualized and described by bringing attention to site. Through an analysis of artworks in the yearly art exhibition of Fittja Open 2011, the essay draws attention to site-specific art and structures of power. The principal aim is to present not only the exhibition of Fittja Open 2011 but also other artwork in the public sphere in Fittja, a suburb to Stockholm. From this point of departure other interests evolve that concerns the "image" of Fittja. The analysis, based on research in art history, architecture, ethnology and philosophy as well as qualitative interviews, also focuses on understanding the role of site and the relations between art practice, institutions and site.The result shows that there are problems with a ruptured interface between the artwork and site.
