For a woman who has been diagnosed with breast cancer, there can be many negative things that effects her life. It is a great shock that changes her life and can include a sense of lost femininity and a decreased sexual desire which can be both physical and psychological. The basis of this literature review is from 17 scientific articles which evaluate the changes in cancer patient's body image and sexuality during their illness and treatment. This study illustrates patient's experience of the nursing and difficulties which obstructs the nurse from talking about sexuality whit the patient. The goal of this master thesis is to show the benefit of using computer games of the type First Person Shooter, FPS in the field of military simulations. The main focus in this is around a couple of topics. Creating the AI that controls the behaviour of the computer-controlled characters, the bots. Create an environment where it is possible to supervise the bots and also design a framework that enables cooperation between a group of bots, a squad. The result is Total Unreal Studio, TUS, a program where it is possible to add bots to a squad, connect them to a game server and inspect what the bots are doing.

Bakgrund:Patienter som vårdas på grund av självskadebeteende inom slutenvården har ökat sedan 1990- talet. Det första mötet dessa patienter har med sjukvården är ofta på akutmottagningar, som främst är utformade för att effektivt vårda patienter som är fysiskt sjuka. Patienter som med självskadebeteende har ofta svårt att kommunicera sina känslor till andra. Samtidigt som de upplever att de bemöts negativt av sjuksköterskor i vården. Attityder hos sjuksköterskor påverkar omvårdnaden genom hur de tänker, känner och handlar gentemot patienten.Syfte:Syftet med detta examensarbete är att beskriva akutsjuksköterskors attityder gentemot patienter med ett självskadebeteende.Metod: En allmän litteraturöversikt baserad på 9 vetenskapliga studier varav 6 var kvantitativa och 3 kvalitativa.

Enligt Patientdatalagen (SFS 2008:355), 3 kap, 1 § har fastställts att sjuksköterskan är skyldig att föra journal. I varje patientjournal ska upprättas en omvårdnadsplan vilken ska vara utformad enligt omvårdnadsprocessens fem faser: bedömning, diagnos, mål, planering, genomförande och utvärdering. Omvårdnadsdokumentationen har som syfte att beskriva den vård som patienten erhållit genom att den beskriver vilka beslut som tagits, vilka åtgärder som gjorts samt vilka resultat som uppnåtts. Patienter som genomgår allogen stamcellstransplantation (SCT) upplever ofta en hög psykologisk påfrestning och själva transplantationstillfället är i sig komplext med många behandlingsrelaterade biverkningar som påverkar hela den transplanterades tillvaro både fysiskt och psykiskt. Syftet med uppsatsen var att undersöka sjuksköterskans  omvårdnadsdokumentation avseende omvårdnadsprocessen gällande patienters emotionella hälsa (EH) från utskrivningsdatum för SCT och ett år framåt.

Att arbetsleda omvårdnaden är en av sjuksköterskans viktigaste uppgifter. Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur sjuksköterskan uppfattar sitt ledarskap i omvårdnaden. Metoden är en empirisk studie, där en enkät lämnades ut till 89 sjuksköterskor på en klinik vid UMAS. Enkäten besvarades av 68 (76,4 %) sjuksköterskor, vilket betyder att bortfallet var litet och därmed ökar studiens tyngd. Diabetes is a widespread disease, which is increasing in the Western World and even in the developing countries. This entail an increasing strain on the medical service when to nurse and treat patients with diabetes type 2. To support and empower the patients in their choices, which will affect them for life, is a challenge to the nurse. The nurse is an important character in nursing care when patients take a more active part in treatments. The aim of this literature review was to exam the factors, which influence diabetes care.

One of many difficult issues in veterinary medicine is the assessment of an animal's experience of pain. As a licensed veterinary nurse in Sweden you are obligated by law to work by the concept of evidence based medicine. To achieve this the author of this study sees the need for standardized methods of pain assessment. A Swedish version of Short form of the Glasgow Composite Measure Pain Scale (CMPS-SF) has recently been translated and developed. Furthermore, a psychometric validation needs to be performed to ensure its validity and reliability.

Ett sätt, för att bringa förståelse för vad ett arkitekturramverk innebär, är att studera dess nytta. This bachelor degree project was carried out at Saab AB Service and Repair, Arboga, Sweden. The objective was to design, construct and implement a new stable and reliable method of measuring the continuous vertical displacement (height) of the military search radar PS861 mounted on a hydraulic powered elevator. The end product needs to be durable enough to be fully operational in the harsh environment of an outdoor elevator shaft and yet as accurate and precise as possible since one of its purposes is to calibrate control equipment. Previously used technique has proven not to meet any of the above mentioned properties.A prototype using a high resolution quadrature output rotary encoder has been developed, allowing a completely digital interface. This new method has been evaluated in laboratory environment where tests have been conducted regarding both reliability and validity.

Det svenska samhället blir alltmer ett mångkulturellt samhälle med nya krav på sjukvården och dess personal. Sjuksköterskor möter patienter med en annan kulturell bakgrund, kunskap och förståelse. Hur kulturell bakgrund påverkar förväntningar och vårdresultat blir därför viktig. Syftet med studien är att beskriva faktorer som är viktiga för att sjuksköterskor ska kunna ge en god omvårdnad till patienter som är invandrare och vårdas inom den transkulturella vården. Denna studie är en litteraturstudie baserad på 13 vetenskapligt granskade kvalitativa artiklar och en avhandling.

Every year 300 children in Sweden are diagnosed with cancer, but through research and successful clinical work 70 % of the children survive their cancer. Aim: To illuminate nursing care of children with cancer. Method: The study was carried out as a general literature study through systematic review and analyse of 18 scientific articles. Result: The analysis resulted in five themes: Support, play as a psychological assistance, alternatives to alleviation of pain, nutrition and relieving symptoms of fatigue.Conclusion: It is important that the nurse has knowledge about the children and their family?s experiences when dealing with a cancer illness to provide the children with adequate care.

This thesis has been carried out within the bachelor program for mechanical engineering at Karlstad University in collaboration with BAE Systems in Karlskoga. The purpose with this work was to design a mechanism and associated parts for loading and unloading of shots between primary and secondary magazine in BAE's new 40mm's ship gun.Parts designed or redesigned among other things a transfer mechanism for shot at loading and unloading, well as a hatch mechanism which makes the shots do not fall out of the primary magazine when making separate use. Various important details have been designed to maintain a good functionality of the mechanism.The construction work has mainly been carried out in the CAD software Solid Edge and its associated FEM module. The construction work has also been carried out on rough calculations for constructed details in order to ensure that they meet the stringent requirements of military use in tough marine environment. Two of the most critical parts of the structure where analyzed with the FEM module for estimating the stresses in the material at the applied load.The final design, which is a result of the thesis, meets the requirement specification and the set targets.

With numerous applications in both military and civilian life, the demand for accurate 3D models of real world environments increases rapidly. Using an airborne laser scanner for the raw data acquisition and robust methods for data processing, the researchers at the Swedish Defence Research Agency (FOI) in Linköping hope to fully automate the modeling process.The work of this thesis has mainly been focused on three areas: ground estimation, image segmentation and classification. Procedures have in each of these areas been developed, leading to a new algorithm for ground estimation, a number of segmentation methods as well as a full comparison of various decision values for an object based classification. The ground estimation algorithm developed has yielded good results compared to the method based on active contours previously elaborated at FOI. The computational effort needed by the new method has been greatly reduced compared to the former, as performance, particularly in urban areas, has been improved.
