Världsekonomin har gått från att vara industribaserad till att bli mer och mer kunskapsbaserad. Nya kunskapsbaserade företag som Google och Spotify har växt fram utan stora materiella tillgångar och med helt andra framgångsfaktorer än tidigare. Detta har skapat ett växande gap mellan företags bokförda värde och marknadsvärde. Det värde som utgör skillnaden mellan marknadsvärde och bokfört värde kan kallas intellektuellt kapital. Definitionen av intellektuellt kapital har förändrats utvecklats och anpassats genom år av tidigare forskning.

The purpouse of this study is to find out how and if a Content Managment System (CMS) can benefit from applied User Experience Design (UX). A work project has been executed where a client wanted the students to create a user friendly CMS for adding content to a global hotel review site. A prototype of a CMS was created based on literature studies about UX and CMS. The prototype of the user friendly CMS was then tested through user tests and interviews with key users. In Sweden, the labour movement historically had influenced both society and politics. In recent times, it is considered a change in society with a stronger employer party while the unions weakened by reduced unionisation. This study aims to highlight the presence of individualistic and collectivistic approaches to the labour market in relation to union density. The different approaches are investigated in the labour market by means of a quantitative survey. The study's survey items are workers in the timber industry.

Bakgrund och problem: I samband med en tilltagande miljöförstöring har intresset förhållbarhetsarbete ökat. Detta har skapat press på företagen att redovisa miljöpåverkan ochutveckla hållbarhetsarbetet. Två industrier som är kritiserade för sin omfattandemiljöförstöring är gruv- respektive modeindustrin vars påverkan drabbar såväl natur sommänniskor och djur. Hur den konstaterade miljöpåverkan redovisas och eventuella skillnadermellan de två (helt) olika industrierna ligger till grund för den fortsatta studien.Syfte: Syftet med denna uppsats är att mer ingående undersöka redovisningen avmiljöindikatorer. Fokus riktas på omfattning och skillnader samt utveckling över enfemårsperiod mellan företag verksamma inom den svenska gruv- respektive modeindustrinsom redovisar sitt hållbarhetsarbete utifrån Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).Avgränsning: Studien är avgränsad till att endast behandla den miljöpåverkan de valdaföretagen har, ansvaret för de sociala och ekonomiska områdena har således bortsetts.Metod: Studien omfattar en kvalitativ innehållsanalys av hållbarhetsredovisningar för åren2009 till 2013 för sex utvalda företag, tre från vardera industri.

I denna essä behandlas ämnet internationell adoption. Jag gör en hermeneutisk och holistisk undersökning av det internationella adoptionsfenomenet genom att ställa en dominerande diskurs i relation till en motdiskurs. På grund av ämnets omfattning kommer jag att ha Sverige som utgångspunkt för diskussionen. Det land varifrån den internationella adoptionen sker är i denna undersökning Sri Lanka.Med frågeställningen "Hur konstrueras en diskurs?" undersöks de aspekter den internationella adoptionsverksamheten är sammansatt av.Jag vill påvisa den internationella adoptionsverksamhetens hegemoniska/diskursiva status och belysa den vetenskapliga och rationella praxis den är i besittning av.

Background: The stress in the society seems to having become more amplified and more trying. Statistics show that the appearance of stress related industrial diseases have increased strikingly. What can be stressing at the workplace? The work conditions are not the only thing that causes stress but no matter what the causes are employers have to restore the employees to their former positions. How are companies dealing with the problems of stress in reality? Do they have formulated strategies for how to manage the problems? Purpose: The purpose with this essay is to try to see pattern in how companies manage and treat stress and stress related industrial diseases.

What kind of international actor is the European Union and how shall we define it? These are questions that many have tried to answer often by addressing the apparent uniqueness of the EU itself. One of these theories is Normative power Europe. A theory whose main argument is that the EU is best perceived as a changer of norms. My aim with this thesis is to test this claim and to see if the Union should be regarded as a normative power.

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to investigate how value creation influences consumers´ choice of market place. We have chosen to focus on how inner city centers can compete with external shopping malls by examining what values consumers find essential in shopping areas. The development within the retail market with more external malls outside cities has resulted in impoverished city centers; therefore, new strategies towards more attractive servicescapes in the inner city are crucial. The study is based on a qualitative approach due to deeper understanding and closeness to the subject, where Kalmar city is chosen as a case. We have completed a focus group study where respondents from each target group where represented.

This thesis examines the power of developing countries within the World Trade Organization (WTO). The research question is if there is a change in the power relations between developing countries and developed countries from the establishment of the WTO in 1995 and until mid 2006, and if so, why this change is taking place? The thesis has its theoretical starting-point within regime theory and views it from a critical theoretical perspective. A multidimensional why of dealing with the concept of power is being used to answer if there is a change in the power relations? The conclusion is that there is a small change in the power relations and that the developing countries are gaining more, but limited power.

I och med de klimatförändringar som sker världen över ökar också frekvensen av naturolyckor. Översvämningar är en av de naturolyckstyper som drabbar nästan alla delar av världen och kan leda till förödande konsekvenser. Översvämningar i Sverige leder oftast bara till ekonomiska förluster medan det i fattiga länder handlar om sociala konsekvenser. Klimatfrågan och dess konsekvenser har satts i centrum för både FN, EU och regeringar runt om i världen och fått högsta prioritet. Dessutom har översvämningar antagits som en egen del av klimatkonsekvenserna och behandlas specifikt av till exempel EU och Sveriges Regering.

The Latvian building company Laval un Partneri Ltd (Laval) posted Latvian construction workers at the rebuilding of a school in Vaxholm in autumn 2004. Because the company refused to sign a collective agreement with Svenska Byggnadsarbetareförbundet (Byggnads), which is the Swedish trade union for constructions workers, Byggnads put the construction site under a boycott. Next Laval sued Byggnads for damages in the Swedish Labour Court (AD) because Laval considers the boycott as well as Byggnad´s demand that Laval signs a collective agreement incompatible with EC Law. AD has now demanded a preliminary ruling from the European Court of Justice (ECJ). While waiting for the preliminary ruling from the ECJ, several important questions of principle stand unanswered.

Marketing in a business-to-business environment differs from its counterpart in the business-to-consumer market. Where the latter focuses on customer satisfaction, the former is all about value. This value creates loyalty between seller and buyer. Creating loyalty is becoming more and more important in the media planning industry as fierce competition reduces profit margins. Value is created through selling what a client wants at an acceptable price.

The purpose of this study is to highlight the opportunities of using social media as a communicative tool to attract and engage customers on different social media platforms. In recent years social media has become an important way for business to communicate with people both national and global. The idea behind this thesis was found when we saw different approaches of how companies used social media as a marketing tool. Through a qualitative approach we did eight interviews with six different companies and two social media consults which have given us a basis of what companies really want to achieve with social media. With these interviews we were able to analyze and discuss the abilities to interact with people and how companies distribute content that engage users and increase their credibility to the company..

Det här arbetet är en ekonometrisk studie av den globala oljemarknaden. Syftet med arbetet är att identifiera olika faktorer som påverkar utbudet och efterfrågan på olja. Studien delar upp produktionen av olja i två delar. En modell beskriver OPECs utbud och en annan beskriver produktionen av olja i länderna utanför OPEC. Arbetet konstaterar att OPEC är en starkare kartell i dag än på 1970-talet.

In a global context the traditional democratic process is facing new challenges. Scholars are talking about a transition from government to governance, where local and regional networks as well as international collaboration are an important part in how regional policy is produced and implemented. In this paper the processes in regional projects funded by the European Union are considered, and related to the traditional democratic process. The study has been fulfilled through informant interviews with representatives from four EU-projects. The interviews are supplemented by a qualitative text analysis of current statutes.
