Influences from military theory are a part of the development of military doctrines. This thesis has, by using a method with three different dichotomies, traced and classified influences from William S Lind?s theories regarding manoeuvre warfare in the Swedish military doctrine, for land operations. Syftet med denna uppsats var att förstå de bakomliggande motiven till att kvinnor från Ryssland har valt att emigrera till Norrbotten för äktenskap med svenska män. Studien är regionalt begränsad till Norrbotten och undersöker även kvinnornas förväntningar på livet med en svensk make och deras upplevelser i det nya hemlandet samt hur det har påverkat deras identitet. Studien är kvalitativ till sin ansats och det empiriska materialet bygger på djupintervjuer med tio kvinnor från Ryssland i åldrarna 25 till 50 år som flyttade till Sverige efter äktenskap med svenska män. De teoretiska utgångspunkter som varit vägledande i tolkningen av det empiriska materialet har varit begreppen identitet, reflexivitet och trygghet. Studiens resultat visar att de bakomliggande orsakerna till kvinnornas migration från Ryssland till Sverige var ekonomiska och sociala otryggheten, deras längtan efter att uppnå den kulturellt betingade kvinnoideal som kvinnorna inte kunde förverkliga i deras situation i Ryssland, visionen om bättre värld i Väst.

To be able to say something about the relationship between those two actors I have been using two municipalities as examples.

In Lake Vänern, Sweden, there is an endemic population of Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar L.) that lives its entire life in fresh water. The salmon is hindered from migrating to its natural spawning sites in the northern part of the River Klarälven by nine hydro-electric power plants. None of the hydro-electric power plants have fishways so that salmon migrating upstream or downstream may pass. In the current situation, the upward migrating salmon are caught in a fish trap at the most downstream located power plant in Forshaga. From there, the salmon are driven in a truck, past eight power plants and released a few kilometers upstream of the eighth power plant at Edsforsen.

The study has examined how some immigrants have managed to reestablish their professional careers in Sweden. Through in-depth-interviewing with six immigrant informants representing different genders, age and professional experience the process of successfully reestablishing a career within the same professional area in Sweden as in their native country is examined.The study looked at structural and individual possibilities and obstacles which affected the individual. In addition the study looked at the personal characteristics and strategies used by the informants to overcome and succeed in adapting and reestablishing their working life.  The study has drawn on human capital and social capital theory for a basic understanding of how education and skills affect. In addition the informants have surpassed structural barriers affecting many other immigrants.

Syftet med studien är att öka kunskapen om inomeuropeisk migration till den svenska landsbygden. Fokus ligger på nederländare som under 2000-talet flyttat till Klarälvdalen i Värmland och där driver turistföretag. Mot bakgrund av tidigare huvudsakligen kvantitativa studier är syftet att fördjupa kunskapen om inflyttarnas bakgrund och motiv till migrationen och om hur de använder sig av transnationella nätverk i sitt nuvarande liv. Kvalitativ metod används i form av intervjuer med familjer/turistföretagare. Vidare har webbsidor för sjutton turistföretag som drivs av nederländare i området studerats, kompletterat med några webbsidor och en intervju med turistföretagare från ett annat nordeuropeiskt land.

Title: "It is logical, but not logical at all compared to every other logical thing." - A study about how students in upper secondary school reflect about their studies in Pitch and music theory.Pitch and music theory is a compulsory subject for music students in the art programme of upper secondary school of Sweden. The aim of the subject is to develop the students? knowledge about music theory concepts in order to help them play and create music on their own. The aim of this paper is to discuss how students talk about ear training and music theory. Qualitative group interviews were carried out with two student groups from the first and second year of the upper secondary school.

Undersökningen bygger på åtta kvalitativa intervjuer. Respondenterna är komvuxelever med utländsk bakgrund som har kommit till Sverige av olika anledningar. Syftet med intervjuerna har varit att undersöka hur eleverna funderar kring sina framtidsplaner och hur de upplever att befinna sig i två kulturer. Vidare har vi undersökt deras erfarenheter av studie- och yrkesvägledning. Vi har också utgått från teorier om kriser, migration, kultur, identitet och vägledning.

It is estimated that 22 000 contaminated areas exist in Sweden today. In order to classify the risk of contaminant migration from these areas and to prioritize which of these contaminated areas should first be treated, the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has designed a method, for the investigation of contaminated areas (MIFO). One of these contaminated areas is the landfill Gräsötippen outside Köping. The landfill has been used by both Yara AB and the Köping municipality between the years 1945 and 1975, and both industrial and household waste have been deposited there. The aim of this report is to survey which contaminants that can be found in the soil and water in the landfill Gräsötippen and to evaluate the migration of these contaminants.

In this thesis swedish students? worldsviews, in relation to the theory of evolution, were studied. Thirty students from two different schools and cities took part in the survey and four students were later chosen for interviews. The results showed that there are many different types of students and categories in this matter. The study also showed that for some religious students, accepting the theory of evolution was not difficult thus showing that religious students can both believe in God and in the theory of evolution..

This paper deals with the question of neolithisation of Southern Scandinavia. The main goal is to give an overview of three theories regarding how agriculture and livestock breeding was introduced to the Southern Scandinavia. These are as follows: the imMigration theory, the socio-economic theory and the historical explanation theory. Furthermore it is investigated which theory has the most probably support in material culture. There are obvious difficulties in interpreting the archaeological material.

I denna studie testas tio hypoteser som relaterar till finansiell teori för att se hur väl teorin kan förklara skuldsättningsgraden i små börsnoterade bolag. De teorier som testas är avvägningsteorin (trade-off theory), hackordningsteorin (pecking order theory) samt teorier relaterade till asymmetrisk information och agentkostnader. This essay focuses on how trafficking is defined and dealt with in recent European policies,and particularly how prostitution take part of these discursive developments. Treaties andagreements on trafficking in human beings and for sexual exploitation have been made bythe European Union and United Nations amongst others, which have been signed andratified by the EU countries in Action Plans. In this essay, five national Actions Plans, fromAustria, Great Britain, Poland, Spain and Sweden between 2007 and 2009, have beencompared in order to see similarities and differences in how the phenomenon of traffickingis done through language. Based on Discourse theory and focus on discursive struggles, theresult show a hegemony around trafficking as a social issue in the Action Plans studied,exploiting humans, mainly children and women, sexually, but also how trafficking is framedas a problem of the nation state and the domestic labour market. It is also illustrated howdifferent meanings of prostitution make the trafficking discourse antagonistic and contested.Finally, the essay discusses the trafficking discourse in relation to EU strivings towardsharmonisation and power imbalances of migration and economy in Europe..
