Wastewater treatment is increasingly controlled by the Swedish environmental quality objectives, adopted by the Swedish parliament. There is a need for a sewage system that can fulfill stringent requirements concerning the environment, recycling and resource use and hygiene. Additional environmental aspects in recent years are the impact of climate change, new knowledge about the effects of pharmaceuticals in water, the need for improved wastewater treatment and increased recycling of nutrients to agriculture. This report has, from a future scenario of the year 2050, analyzed seven different systems for wastewater treatment and treatment of compostable biowaste from households in Eskilstuna. A future scenario was chosen based on that within a forty year period new challenges may arise which can result in higher demands on sewage treatment than those we see today. Another reason why the future scenario was established is that changes in wastewater treatment systems are slow to establish. The analysis is mainly focused on the economical aspects but environmental aspects such as emissions to receiving waters and potential recycling of plant nutrients has also been evaluated briefly.

The governing set of regulations for structural engineering in Sweden used to be Boverket, BKR. However in the beginning of the 21st century a changeover to new regulations, the Eurocodes, started.The transition was completed in year 2011 when the Eurocodes became the mandatory design work policy for all countries within the European Union. The Eurocodes were implemented to simplify and remove potential barriers to trade that may exist when countries have different design rules.  Since the changeover it has been important for all construction companies to update their knowledge base and their design software.When comparing the two calculation processes they seem similar, but there are a couple of differences worth noting.  With the new regulations, engineers will find that the process when designing joints in timber structures has changed.  What used to be a fairly easy and straight forward calculation procedure has now become tedious and time consuming.The objective of this degree project is to present a product, a dimensioning tool that will help structural engineers when computing lateral load carrying joints in timber structures.The degree project is made up of two parts where the first part is the written report describing the background and theory behind load carrying computations. The second part of the project is the actual dimensioning tool which includes several worksheets in Microsoft Excel. Apassive house is intended to obtain heat from the inhabitants and through theiractivities.

Genom åren har många företag inom nya branscher startats med hjälp av riskkapital. Utan riskkapital hade troligen inte företag som Apple Computer, Microsoft, Intel, Federal Express, Sun Microsystems och Compaq Computer sett dagens ljus. Alla dessa företag startades med hjälp av riskkapitalbolag som valt att finansiera dessa företagsidéer för att sedan sälja dessa företag ut på den publika aktiemarknaden.För att en entreprenör ska få möjlighet att utveckla en idé och/eller en produkt så är finansieringen från riskkapitalbolagen helt avgörande och har fått allt större betydelse för samhället i termer av fler arbetstillfällen och på marknaden i termer av produkter eller tjänster. Denna betydelse för samhället och marknaden gjorde att vårt intresse för denna studie byggts upp och detta ledde till vår problemformulering:Hur ser investeringsprocessen ut när riskkapitalbolag väljer att investera i ett tillväxtföretag och vilka problem uppstår under vägen?För att få en förståelse för denna problemformulering tillämpade vi kvalitativ metod.

Vid design av ett dataspel försöker speldesignern ofta skapa banor och fiender som tvingar spelaren att använda olika strategier för att överleva. För att hitta dessa strategier krävs speltestning. Speltestning är tidskrävande och då också dyrt. Den enklaste metoden för att spara tid är då att använda data hooks i spelet och sedan låta testpersoner spela spelet. Data samlas då in under alla spelsessioner och lagras i loggfiler.Med hjälp av data hooks samlades data in till denna rapport.

Introduktion: Patienter är ibland mer oroade för biverkningarna av ordinerad medicin än för själva sjukdomen. Om patienten överskattar risken att drabbas kan följsamheten till ordinationen påverkas negativt. Flera studier har därför gjorts över hur biverkningar presenteras i bipacksedlar, produktresumé, FASS, patient-FASS och Apotekets Terminal System (MOD). En slutsats är att patienter lättare förstår frekvensen av biverkningar om de presenteras verbalt istället för numeriskt. Bättre texter kan därigenom bidra till en rationellare läkemedelsanvändning och högre följsamhet.

Tungmetallflödet i den urbana miljön kan leda till resursproblem för att återföring avavloppsslam som växtnäring till brukbar jord kan försvåras av tungmetallhalter. Syftet med examensarbetet var att bidra till Käppalaförbundets uppströmsarbete genom att identifiera tungmetallkällor i avloppssystemet. Detta uppnås genom en substansflödesanalys med avseende på metallerna kadmium, koppar, krom, kvicksilver och zink för kommunerna Sigtuna och Solna vilka tillhör Käppalaförbundets upptagningsområde. Verktyget som därvidlag utvecklas identifierar tungmetallkällor, storleken av utsläppen och ger information om var åtgärdsinsatser är effektivt.För verktygsutvecklingen definierades det studerade systemet till fem områden: hushåll, verksamhetsutövare, dagvatten, tillskottsvatten och övrigt. Tungmetallkällor identifierades och grupperades till ett av de fem delområdena.

Bakgrund och problemdiskussion:Sedan Relevance Lost-debatten på 1980-talet har ekonomistyrningen utvecklats. Detta har även fått en påverkan på controllerns roll inom organisationen. Parallellt med detta har informationsteknologin utvecklats mycket snabbt. Flera studier har undersökt hur ERP-system, som blev vanliga på 1990-talet, har påverkat controllerrollen. Efter ERP-systemens intåg har business intelligence blivit allt högre prioriterat.

All new households were to be constructed with "near zero energy house standards" (NZE-house) by the year of 2020. The ambition to construct energy-efficient buildings had to increase rapidly in the spring of 2013.The purpose of this report was to increase the interest for building contractors to construct apartment buildings with passive house standards. By locating and evaluating experiences from an existing passive house a case study including interviews, field visits and document analysis was made. Research of literature regarding other passive houses in Sweden also helped to answer the following questions:- What positive and negative experiences have the study of the passive house meant to the involved stakeholders and residents?- What improvements can be made based on identified experiences?- How can an apartment building be designed as a passive house based on possible improvements?By collecting good and bad experiences, as well as improvements and potential design proposals, a diagram was created designed as a tool for developers when constructing apartment buildings with passive house standards.

Många förlitar sig för mycket på egenutvecklade informationssystem i Excel trots att fel lätt uppstår, fel som ofta medför stora kostnader för företag. Svårigheten kan i många fall sägas vara att veta när Excel inte längre räcker till. Syftet med denna studie har därmed varit att försöka ge praktikerna kunskap om vad ett kvalitativt informationssystem är. Denna kunskap är sedan tänkt stödja praktikerna i förståelsen för och beslutstagandet om när ett kalkylsystem inte är kvalitativt och därmed bör bytas ut.

Problem: Vår huvudsakliga frågeställning är: Vilka är de viktigaste förändringarna i mobiltelefonbranschen och vad blir konsekvenserna av dessa förändringar? De delfrågor som också studeras berör huruvida värdekedjan dekonstrueras i mobiltelefonbranschen, företagens påverkan av komponent-standardisering, hur konkurrenssituationen påverkas av nischtillverkare och ODM-aktörer samt hur maktbalans och lönsamhet är fördelad i branschen. Syfte: Genom en global branschanalys vill vi kartlägga mobiltelefonbranschen och identifiera drivkrafterna till förändring. Vidare är syftet att analysera konsekvenserna av drivkrafterna och därmed skapa en förståelse för branschens utveckling. Vi har dessutom strävat efter att kartlägga alla mobiltelefontillverkare i världen med målet bidra med insikt om branschens utbredning.

During the last decennium climate issues have become more and more important. Many steps towards an adaption of efficient energy supply systems have been taken all around the world. These steps have been created to ensure the next generation?s energy demand. In EU and Sweden objectives have been set to ensure that the energy consumption decreases by 20% year 2020 and by 50% year 2050 compared with the energy consumption levels of year 1995.
