This report presents suggestions and recommendations on how to convert an old industrial building, built in 1958, to an office hotel. One of the main criteria was that the floor plan should be flexible. The building is situated at Jonsereds Fabriker and the study was conducted for Hantverkslokaler i Göteborg AB, the estate owner.The survey is initiated with study visits at various office hotels, together with studies of literature regarding office planning. One conclusion from the study visits is that meeting-places, where the different companies can meet and exchange ideas and services, are important. Another one, and probably the most important parameter when planning offices is that they should have windows.

Jag redogör i denna uppsats för debatten om religiös omskärelse inom judendomen i Sverige och internationellt under perioden 2000-2008. Jag redogör vidare för hur argumenten från båda sidor yttrar sig, både de som motsätter sig omskärelse och de som inte gör det. Detta gör jag utifrån olika perspektiv som religion, svensk lagstiftning, HIV och allmänhälsa. Mina frågeställningar är: Hur har debatten om omskärelse artat sig under 2000-talet? Vilka aspekter har debatterats mest om ingreppet omskärelse?.

Vi lever i ett stressigt samhälle där allt skall fungera och tiden är emot oss för det mesta. Ifall det gick att schemalägga alla händelser som skall och borde göras i ett gemensamt kalendersystem så skulle det förenkla situationen för många personer, som skall träffas eller andra händelser som kan uppstå. I detta arbete undersöks det ifall en ny öppen standard för kalenderöverföringar skulle fungera, samt om den är tillräckligt bra för att användas, eller om den skall undvikas. Inom arbetet implementeras en prototyp som baseras på denna kalenderöverföringsstandard. Den prototyp som framtogs, tillhandahåller de grundläggande funktionerna i CAP, jämförs med Microsoft Exchange.

The Swedish government has introduced a goal to reduce the energy intensity by 20% to the year 2020. To reach this goal actions need to be taken throughout the energy sector which includes residential and commercial buildings. This thesis considers the possibility to reduce the energy usage in a building located close to Uppsala. The analyzed building is a combined office, cafeteria and entrance and was completed about half a year before this project started. Therefore the measures presented for a more energy efficient building are presented as measures for future constructions.Simulations have been made in VIP-Energy, a dynamic energy calculation program.

WM-data tillhandahåller en lösning för mobil arbetsorderhantering. Lösningen innehåller planeringsverktyg med ärenden, personal och karta och möjlighet att leverera arbetsorder till fältpersonal. Den innehåller dessutom handhållna mobilenheter, vilka fältpersonalen använder för att ta emot aktuella arbetsorder. Vissa kunder önskar ytterligare en modul i denna mobila lösning. Den nya modulen skall användas för att kontinuerligt rapportera in genomförda åtgärder i snöröjningssammanhang. Detta examensarbete går ut på att utveckla den här modulen för att registrera snöröjning respektive sandning. Applikationen exekveras på en PDA, en så kallad Pocket PC med Windows Mobile 5.0.

Cloud computing innebär användning av datorresurser som är tillgängliga via ett nätverk, oftast Internet och är ett område som har vuxit fram i snabb takt under de senaste åren. Allt fler företag migrerar hela eller delar av sin verksamhet till molnet. Sogeti i Borlänge har behov av att migrera sina utvecklingsmiljöer till en molntjänst då drift och underhåll av dessa är kostsamma och tidsödande. Som Microsoftpartners vill Sogeti använda Microsoft tjänst för cloud computing, Windows Azure, för detta syfte. Migration till molnet är ett nytt område för Sogeti och de har inga beskrivningar för hur en sådan process går till.

The aim of this Master´s thesis in Art History and Visual Studies is to examine the existence and theexpressions of openness and interior space in the contemporary Swedish architecture of singlefamilyhouses. Research has focused on open-plan housing with open connections between kitchenand living areas, large windows, walls of glass, high ceiling heights and entresol or loft levels, usingtwo case studies and analyses of seven reference objects. Interpretation is based onphenomenological theoretical perspectives.Houses that are more or less transparent permit views from both the inside and the outside. The purpose of this thesis is to present and describe which criteria, according to the systemfamily Configuration Management, should be met when developing a CM-tool to handlemigration data.ACT is a tool developed by Microsoft to gather information about, analyze, test and mitigateapplications in a network when migrating the IT-infrastructure of an organization to a newoperating system. The organization that is being studied wants to present the data about theanalyzed applications in such a way, that a customer can choose what to mitigate and migrate.The goal is therefore to develop a prototype (CM-tool) that will present this data.The study has shown that ACT lacks certain requirements stated by the organization when itcomes to presentation. But when it comes to the rest of the functions, ACT performs as expected.The investigation resulted in specifications and technical solution for the new CM-tool. CMcriteriafor migration data was put forth and parts of the prototype were also developed..

The first part of this essay is about a single-family house that we have planned and projected. Thesecond part is a deeper study in ways to further insulate windows when they are not in use.In the first part the building?s design and its most important construction elements are described.The planning of all major installations (heating, domestic water, ventilation, sanitation, electricity)are reported so that one can in principle start construction of the house. In addition there arecalculations done on the building?s energy management.The result is a two stored house angled toward the south.

Examensarbetet undersöker den nya versionen av affärssystemet Microsoft Dynamics AX R2 2012 och dess plattform Commerce Runtime och analyserar dessa ur perspektiven arkitektur och kommunikationsmöjligheter. Examensarbetet undersöker systemets arkitektur och implementerar tre metoder för att visa upp kommunikationen mellan komponenterna i systemet. Undersökningen avgränsar sig dock till de områden av systemet och plattformen som har med butikslösningen att göra. Undersökningen går hand i hand med implementationen. Implementeringen sker löpande under arbetet för att säkerställa att undersökningen stämmer.

Since the demands from authorities regarding lower energy consumption havebecome increasingly strict, this puts new pressure on designers and builders, who notonly have to ensure an esthetically pleasing building, but also make sure it issufficiently efficient to pass under new laws and regulations.This thesis takes into consideration a wide range of various parameters and theireffect on a building?s energy consumption. For this evaluation a computer softwarecomparison between the two programs Autodesk Ecotect Analysis and AutodeskProject Vasari was performed.Autodesk Ecotect Analysis is better suited for studies made on individual factors whileAutodesk Project Vasari is better used in experiments regarding the geometricalshape of the stucture itself.The results from the two different software tools used, give us both differences andsimilarities. For instance, both software programs produced the same resultsregarding the importance of the windows of the buildings to ensure a highly energyefficient building, both when it comes to the windows size and their U-value..

SMC is in the process of developing a micro simulation model. The existing micro simulation model developed at Cornell University for US data, CorSim, is one of the fundamental parts for the new micro simulation at SMC. To develop the Swedish model, Swedish data on all individuals in Sweden during 11 years are also available. These data are organized in a database. This paper describes the process of rebuilding the database to a more useful structure.

Bakgrund: Företag behöver i dagens samhälle robusta och pålitliga datasystem. För att bygga ett väl fungerande nätverk måste dessa baseras på bra operativ- systemprogramvara. Den fria programvaran, Linux, har stärkt konkurrensen på marknaden för operativsystem. Att konkurrensen hårdnat gör det intressant att undersöka ifall kostnaderna för anskaffning och användning skiljer sig åt mellan olika operativsystem.Syfte: Syftet med detta arbete är att skapa en LCC-modell vilken skall appliceras på operativsystem i datanätverk. Vidare skall vi använda modellen till att jämföra totalkostnaden för att anskaffa och nyttja operativsystem i datanätverk under nätverkets livstid.Genomförande: För att uppnå vårt syfte har vi genomfört personliga intervjuer med ekonomi- och dataansvariga på tio olika organisationer.

Examensarbetet går ut på att utreda vad verktyg vid volatil-data-utvinning (Reeve & Shipley, 2006) orsakar för förändringar på ett datasystem. Volatil-data är information som försvinner när datasystemet stängs av och kan vara nödvändig t.ex. när man försöker läsa en krypterad hårddisk, då krypteringsnyckeln (Casey, et al., 2011) kan finnas i (Random Access Memory) RAM-minnet som är volatilt. I IT-brottslighetens barndom utvecklades (Brown, 2009) metoder för att påverkan på ett datasystem vid ett beslag skulle bli så liten som möjligt. Detta gjordes för att beviset man får från datasystemet skulle hålla i en rättgång och gick ofta ut på att slå av strömmen på datasystemet.
