The exclusion of visually impaired from the information flow presented to us through signs was what led me into this project. With a growing amount of information being presented to us on signs and digital information surface the need of communicating this information in a way that could be read by visually impaired is evident. Looking into different ways of communication, my goal was to create something that filled the need of the visually impaired without branding them as disabled. Having a close relative with bad eyesight is became evident on how much it limited her in her everyday life, not being able to navigate herself without the support of her husband. Through interviews with her and others with varying diagnoses I reached an insight in their situation. To my surprise they still favored a visual form of communication before an auditory or tactile form, because it?s easy to survey and quick to interpret.

Systemintegration är arbetet med att få IT-system att samarbeta med varandra. Inomsystemintegration finns det idag ett glapp mellan den tekniska dokumentationen och den tekniskalösningen vilket försvårar arbetet med att ta fram och underhålla integrerade system. För att underlättadetta skapades på uppdrag av Ipendo Systems en databasmodell för att kunna lagra tekniskdokumentation om integrationssystem. Lösningen implementerades i Microsoft SQL Server. Underarbetet utvecklades stöd för hämtning av data från integrationsplattformen BizTalk.

Sanningen är att en bild säger mer än tusen ord, vilket vi idag märker allt mer i samhället genom bland annat att byggprojekt presenteras med övertygande visualiseringar, eftersom det skapar mer förståelse för vad som är projektets slutliga mål. Då jag gick byggvisualisering som inriktning på byggteknikprogrammet var det detta jag ville arbeta med i mitt examensarbete. Mitt uppdrag fick jag av en privatperson som har en obebyggd tomt på fritidsområdet Kvegerö, som ligger cirka 3 mil norr om Nyköping. Ägaren ville ha en bild över hur hans tomt med fritidshus och garage skulle kunna se ut. Med hjälp av befintliga ritningar och foton på byggnader och terräng kunde modellerna skapas i det 3-dimesionella ritprogrammet 3D Studio Max och för att få slutresultatet så verkligt som möjligt användes verkliga bilder som material.Denna rapport baseras inte på en frågeställning utan det är min kunskap som står till grund.

This thesis examines immigration policy and the problematic of the surveillance society, by analyzing the movies V for Vendetta and Children of Men. In the thesis we use visual analysis, and the theories of Michel Foucault and Nikolas Rose. Central questions to our thesis are how the movies interpret the present time, and how they have chosen to depict the surveillance society to problematize the current immigration policies. We have used thematic analysis to illustrate these questions..

Detta arbete har gjorts för att utvärdera XMI 2.0. Utvärderingen har gjorts för att se om den nya standarden (2.0) av XMI är bättre än den gamla. Det finns måga typer av problem som kan testas denna rapport undersöker om det går att exportera/importera klassdiagram mellan olika verktyg med hjälp av XMI. De UML-verktyg som har testats är Poseidon, Visual paradigm, Magic draw, Altova Umodel, Argouml Bouml.Resultatet visar att det inte är så lätt som man kan tro att exportera/importera diagram mellan olika UML-verktyg..

The basis for this study is the question of what happens at the point of impact between receiver and message in the case of a social marketing campaign on Facebook promoting sustainable travel. Hence the aim of this study is to analyse the reception of the social marketing campaign Fairadise in a sample of 19 individuals. The design of the study is therefore reception analysis with the help of four focus groups and thematic analysis to later identify patterns and themes in the gathered material. The theoretical approaches were collected from the field of media and communication and focused on public communication campaigns, public understanding of public communication campaigns as well as decoding of messages. The questions posed were; how is the Facebook campaign Fairadise received by the focus group participants? How do the participants read (decode) the campaign; dominant, negotiated or oppositional? And what assessments do the participants have regarding the visual versus textual information in the campaign? Previous research has shown that visual and emotional attributes are of great importance when it comes to interpreting messages about sustainable tourism and that rational information attributes are of less importance. The findings in this study agree with this previous research except when it comes to rational information.

What causes people to move within and between certain places and not within and between others? How do physical outdoor environments affect the way people act and move? Do different environments generate different body language and mimics in the bodies that inhabit them? In my pursuit for answers to these questions I studied literature and initiated and took part in dialogues in the form of workshops, all of which has resulted into this thesis. My questions have initially arisen from reflections of my own environment and how it not only affects my mental condition, but also my actions. Drawing upon the hermeneutic term ?preconception? I trust that what we label ?truth? is constructed by our lived experience and the society we grow up in.

This report describes and explains the development of a comprehensive solution including visual identity, print catalog, website and online shop for the furniture company Resize Design. The development and production of these have occurred in the iterative processes with relevant theories as a basis. The theories include user-centered work processes, usability, design principles, interaction design, design patterns and web-compatible solutions. Internationellt sett är i dag skandinaviskt fotografi högt eftertraktat och intresset ser inte ut att avta, tvärt om.Här, vid väg ände, precis invid Kottlasjön på Lidingö ligger ett gamalt vackert vattenverk. omgivet av speciell natur och ett stilla landskap.Huset har stått oanvänt sedan många år och väntar på nya vindar.Med sparsam renovering, och nödvändiga åtgärder kan detta utgöra grunden för en ny mötesplats och verkstad för samtida konstfotografi..

Detta projekt genomfördes i samarbete med akustikern Erling Nilsson på företaget Ecophon i Hyllinge. Uppdragsgivare var musikproducenten Magnus Ågren som äger studion Flow Music i Malmö. Uppgiften var att förbättra akustiken i ett av Flow Musics studiorum. Rummet hade före projektet en hård och obehaglig akustik. För att komma fram till ett åtgärdsförslag specificerades först hur enskilda akustiska egenskaper skulle påverkas för att ge ett så bra resultat som möjligt.

This graduation thesis is about baths and beach like places in city centers. It focuses on recreation and the creation and development of public, social spaces in the city containing water as a visual and useable element. The thesis is divided into three parts; background, inspiration and application. The background examines four factors which we consider important for the occurrence of inner city baths; water, the history of bathing, inner city recreation and social life in public places. A discussion of the (future) importance of inner city baths and beach like places' is then presented. The inspirational part is divided into examples of existing places and examples of types of places. The first is used in an attempt to examine the function and importance of inner city baths and beach like places as well as the opportunities and challenges associated with them. The latter contains a presentation of six categories developed by us to facilitate the planning of inner city baths and beach like places.

Examensarbetet har utförts på Weland Lagersystem AB i Gislaved som tillverkar och säljer lagersystem. Företaget är en del i Welandkoncernen och ägs därmed av Weland AB. Arbetet handlar om att effektivisera konstruktionsprocessen på Weland Lagersystem AB, för produkten grenställ1. Konstruktionsprocessen består idag av ett flertal moment. Ett av dessa moment, som idag utförs manuellt och är tidskrävande, är skapande av geometriska modeller.

Shaping visual stories - content in exhibitions is an essay on how content has been shaped in the two exhibitions "Memento mori" and "Hästen - tyglad, piskad, älskad". The study focuses on how exhibitions can be defined through their content as well as how the exhibitors'different intentions towards the exhibition affect the working process as well as the result. This is put in relation to theoretical models and discussions on ideals in the field of exhibition and what impels these to find an answer to the question: What makes an exhibition?.

Arbetet går ut på att för Nybro Cementgjuteri utföra dimensioneringsberäkningar för infästningsplåtar ingjutna i prefabricerade betongelement. Genom att utföra dessa beräkningar har ett beräkningsunderlag i Microsoft Excel kunnat framställas och levereras till företaget. I underlaget kan företaget föra in olika plåtparametrar som bredd, höjd och tjocklek pa? plåten samt förankringsstängernas längd och tjocklek med mera och få ut vilka kapaciteter plåtarna besitter gällande normalkraft, tvärkraft samt moment i tre olika riktningar.Dessutom har en parameterstudie utförts där det har undersökts vilka konsekvenser det skulle medföra att till exempel ändra avståndet mellan förankringsstängerna..

Det senaste året har jag arbeta med analys av digital mediehantering, digital media som ett informationsverktyg samt tekniken bakom det. ?Hur kan man göra saker mer effektivt?, ?är webb-tv något för Försvarsmakten att använda sig av i syfte att göra sitt informationsflöde mer effektivt?, både internt och mot allmänheten. Föreliggande arbete tar upp tekniken bakom dessa områden, jag försöker även förklara hur relativt enkelt det kan vara att integrera dem i en existerande organisation utan att göra dyra omorganisationer. Jag har även inventerat AMF och FM media på deras utrustning, teknik och gjort en lista på vad som är användbart och på vad som bör tas bort inför en omstrukturering.
