The Rya power plant in Borås produces district heating, district cooling and electricity. The plant is owned by Borås Energi och Miljö AB and is run by Dalkia Facility Management AB.In order to get the best heat exchange from the district hot water a pair of twin pumps and a turbine circuit pump are used as return pumps. Turbine circuit pumps are used to increase the pressure through the heat exchangers at the power plant. The pumps are in use when the flow is over 2 000 m3 h-1 and during the summer when re-cooling is used to improve the effectivens of the heat boilers.Since the pumps, that are parallel connected, rotating at a fixed rate per minute, the pressure is regulated with regulating valves. This report shows that during the 4,300 hours that the pumps where in use, energy corresponding to 590 MWh was wasted.

The study seeking explanations for change, similarities and differences in the various texts based on three themes which are results, future and confidence. In this qualitative study five CEO's words are explored by means of a discourse analysis, all from large Swedish industrial companies listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange. Some of the results shown is that the CEO tends to talk about the company's results in a self-serving manner and CEO speaks more aboutm the results before than after the crisis.

I detta examensarbete som har gjorts tillsammans med EAB AB har syftet varit att skapa ettberäkningsprogram, som en applikation i Microsoft Excel. För att dimensionera gavelbalkar istålbyggnader.För att skaffa sig en uppfattning om hur man handberäknar snittkrafterna i en statiskt obestämdbalk, gjordes det en litteraturstudie. Denna ledde till att det valdes olika metoder för att beräknasnittkrafterna, bland annat valdes Cross-metod för att beräkna momentet i stöden.Beräkningarna av snittkrafterna gjordes i alla balkens stöd. Under dimensioneringsprocessengjordes bland annat interaktionskontroller mellan moment och normalkraft i varje stöd. Dettagjordes för att få en så noggrann dimensionering som möjligt.

This study has investigated what makes a business relation satisfactory. The purpose is to distinguish the factors that are relevant to a functioning cooperation relationship between sawmills and DIY-stores. The theoretical framework is primarily based on long-term business relationships. The study is based on two case companies and their relations with wood-suppliers. - Case company 1 is a relatively new established and still growing company.

Vacation 2.0 är ett ledighetsansökningssystem utvecklat hos CGI i Linköping för deras Linköping- och Norrköpingskontor. Med Vacation 2.0 kan anställda boka in kommande semester, föräldraledighet samt jour. Vacation 2.0 ger HR-avdelningen en översikt över tillgänglig personal genom en sammanställning av alla arbetsgruppers ledighetsansökningar. Systemet underhålls av en administratör som har behörighet att administrera arbetsgrupper och ändra anställdas existerande ledighetsansökningar. De anställda som är ansvariga för en grupp eller är anställd på HR-avdelningen kan ges behörigheten av systemadministratören.Kraven för systemet togs fram genom intervjuer med anställda som vi sedan utvärderade.

Denna rapport handlar om att använda en trådlös kommunikationsteknik som kallas NFC (Near Field Communication) vid kommunikation mellan en Android mobiltelefon och en NFC-läsare som kallas ACR122U. Syftet med detta projekt är att:Välja en Androidtelefon som har stöd för NFC.Skapa en applikation som skall köras på Androidtelefonen och som skall skicka ett lösenord via NFC.Skapa ett program som skall köras på en dator med operativsystemet Windows 7 och som skall hantera ACR122U.Förklara den insamlade kunskapen i detta dokument så andra lättare skall kunna arbeta med NFC.Följande frågor kommer att besvaras i denna rapport:Vilken Androidtelefon bör användas vid utveckling av en applikation som kan kommunicera via NFC?Vad krävs vid utveckling av en applikation som kan kommunicera via NFC?Aktionsforskning är den forskningsmetod som användes vid sökandet efter svar på frågorna ovan. Detta innebär att forskningen görs genom att läsa om ämnet, genomföra en eller flera lösningar för att hitta en fungerande lösning och sedan dokumentera resultaten. Implementeringen av programvaran på mobiltelefonen genomfördes med mycket hjälp från Android Developers hemsida.

This paper presents empirical evidence on the determinants of interest rate swap spreads in Sweden during the period 1999-2003. The results suggest that the spread between STIBOR and the general collateral repo rate is positively related to shorter maturity swap spreads. The risk premium associated with commercial bonds is positively related to swap spreads of all maturities. A negative relationship is observed between the term structure of interest rates and swap spreads. The short-term interest rate is positively related to spreads with shorter maturities.

Studien undersöker spelares sociala upplevelse inom online dataspelet World of Warcraft (Blizard entertainment 2004). Detta görs genom att studera de designförändringar som sker med verktyget "Guild" från 2004 fram tills Juni 2013.Verktyget "Guild" är avsett för att ge spelare ett sätt  att skapa grupper, så kallade "guilder" som kan närmast efterlikna föreningar inom verkliga livet. Studien har haft som syfte att försöka förstå den sociala interaktionen som kan äga rum i olika "Guilder". Det är sedan planerat att använda sig av Simmels teori om interaktion och artikeln "The Metropolis and Mental Life? (1903) för att förstå spelarens upplevelse.

Studien undersöker samband mellan gymnasielärares bakgrund och IT-kompetenser samt hur arbetet med IT organiseras på gymnasieskolor och vilka möjligheter till kompetensutveckling som gymnasielärare har. Samtliga data kommer från en anonym webbaserad enkätundersökning som besvarades av 62 gymnasielärare på olika gymnasieskolor i mellersta Sverige (utskick till cirka 290). Insamlad data analyserades kvantitativt i SPSS och Microsoft Excel och presenteras som tabeller och diagram. Intressanta fynd i analysen är att yngre respondenter skattar sina egna IT-kompetenser högre än äldre respondenter och att det finns en tydlig skillnad i att kvinnliga respondenter ser betydligt större behov av kompetensutveckling än manliga respondenter. Vidare ses mjukvara för ordbehandling och skolans lokala lärplattform som två av de viktigaste verktygen i yrket, medan förmågan att skapa egen media i genomsnitt ses som mindre relevant.

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka användningen av det alternativa kommunikationsverktyget PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System), som är vanligt förekommande hos personer inom autismspektrumtillstånd (ASD). Hos människor inom ASD är det vanligt med kommunikationssvårigheter samt utpräglade beteendeproblem. Genom intervjuer med skola, habilitering och boende har PECS studerats utifrån olika aspekter. Hur går inlärningen till? Hur används verktyget i det dagliga livet? Vilka för- och nackdelar upplevs vid arbete med PECS? Resultatet visar att PECS är ett kommunikationsverktyg med hög evidens men att det finns delade åsikter kring vissa delar.

With the huge amount of computers connected to the Internet the IP-addresses are starting to run out. The Internet Engineering Task Force, IETF, have decided that it is about time to exchange the old 32 bits Internet protocol, Ipv4, to a more modern 128 bits protocol called Ipv6. This thesis explores the possibility to install Ipv6 in different operating systems. By testing various operating systems and by set up criteria compare them to each other we give the reader a picture of how the installation is done. We also show which operating systems to prefer if you want to use IPv6.

During the three first centuries A.D the cult to roman emperor was practiced over the absolute majority of the known world. It was based on the idea of the deified ruler, where religion was used as a way of legitimizing a social position of an absolute few. It arrived from below but was promoted and spread from above as a way of governmental control. During the same period of time did a new aristocratic social group emerge in remote Scandinavia that eagerly sought new ways to identify themselves and their newly found social standing. With a base consisting of an economic surplus they wanted to create an acceptance for their new way of life and thus in doing so change the very foundation and core beliefs of their own society.The central theme of this study is the cultural exchange that took place between these two cultural spheres and mainly of the effect that the cult to the roman emperor had on the emergence and identification process of the Scandinavian aristocracy..

This project includes a small study of Västerås city's housing needs, and a proposal on theuse of the property 1:207, Lantmännens silo in the Eastern Harbour, Västerås.The project intends to produce a basic study of the useful systems for this rebuilding projectwith regards to sustainable development and energy saving light buildings.The end result, which consists of a detailed visualization of the proposal, intends to becomean iconic natural focus for the Eastern port of Västerås and an example of the use andadaptation of existing structures.The property must also link the eastern parts of Västerås with the center through anextension of Mälarleden.The work has been performed through literature studies, site visits, contacts with the City ofVästerås and by calculations.The proposal consists of architectural proposals drawings and visualizations.Furthermore, a suggestion is given of how the property can be used and fitted into theoverall plan for urban density development currently underway in the city of Västerås.Computer programs used have been Microsoft Office Excel, AutoCAD and ArchiCAD..

Examensarbetet redogör för byggproduktionsplanering med en fördjupning inom tidsplaneringsmetoder- och verktyg, vilka kan användas som hjälpmedel inom området.  Inom fördjupningen gjordes två praktiska försök och intervjuer genomfördes för att få en verklig bild av hur planeringen fungerar, samt för att få feedback på försöken.  Arbetet resulterade i slutsatsen att olika planeringsmetoder bör användas i olika skeden av byggproduktionsplaneringen, samt att de olika planeringsmetoderna är till olika nytta för de varierande arbetsrollerna i en byggorganisation.  Man kan med fördel använda sig av en kombination av planeringsmetoderna, CPM, LOB och den relativt okända ?Kontinuitetsmetoden? när man planerar och styr sin byggproduktion.
